Some of the built in apps no longer work. map, mail, Safari Video

After the last time I synced my iPad (1) maps, video, safari and mail terminate imediately. My iPhone 3sg works notmally after my last sync.

FIX:
1. You need Time Machine
2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.
If that doesnt pass,

Yes to both questions: iMovie is in the Applications folder, not in any subfolders. And I have reinstalled iMove from the original disc (before and after the OS reinstall) but can only get up to 7.1.4 without buying a later edition of iLife.
The camera definitely worked under Snow Leopard but not since I upgraded from SL to Mountain Lion.
Found the following on this forum:
If you have iLife '09 or older, there have been no iPhoto 8, iMovie 8 or
Garageband 5 (or older) updates relating to Lion or Mountain Lion. The
support and compatibility situations for those versions is unknown as
Apple hasn't said anything. We can only determine compatibility
anecdotally. If it turns out that there is a problem and Apple doesn't
release an update, your only recourse is to buy the latest version of
the application.
I reinstalled some other iLife apps as well. iDVD went missing after the ML reinstall. When I reinstalled it from the original disc, it wouldn't open and I had to download a manual update to get it working. iWeb previously stopped working after the upgrade to ML (all the menu options were greyed out) but when I reistalled it (together with iMove and iDVD) yesterday, it started working again.
All this seems to point to a compatibilty issue between iLife '08 and ML.

Ie.. I use an online canteen programme to order lunch for my kids but now I can no longer use some of the websites links. I've contacted the company and they think its an iOS update issue and have stated its out of their control- how can I rectify this?

Welcome to the Apple Support Community!
I know it must be frustrating when a website that you normally use is no longer working the way you would expect. The first thing I would suggest looking at your cookies in Settings > Safari. Please reference the attached article for further information. The article goes up to iOS 7 but the settings are in the same place in iOS 8.

The user downloaded apps no longer work. The icons show on the icon page but when tapped they momentarily darken the page and then the icon page returns as it was.

I installed half a dozen apps, all of which worked fine for a time. Now, however, when I tap the icon for one of these apps the screen darkens momentarily and then appears exactly as it was a second before. The app does not open.

If it's just the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store that aren't working whilst the Apple built-in ones are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

Then some things may be hidden, or perhaps you did not use the same Apple_ID in the store as you used on your computer. Or maybe Apple is slow about updating your App Store Account.

EDIT: Could they be on your computer in the Applications folder, but just not shown on the Dock? That can be fixed easily as well.

I have ios 5.1.1. When I sync to iTunes, my purchased apps no longer work. They blink but do not open. The only way I have been able to solve this, is as follows: I delete one of the apps and then re-download and install it. Then, all my apps work.

I delete one of the purchased apps. Then I go to the App Store and re-download and install the same app. After that, all my apps work again.

3. Install another app from the App Store
If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.

Let's take a look! Verizon Wireless is not authorized to directly troubleshoot 3rd party apps, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling facebook? What applications are having trouble working with Facebook? Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Apple can do nothing about a 3rd party app not functioning properly. Testing and any required updates for an app is the app developer's responsibility.

Is your iPad 2 running iOS 5.0.1 and your ipad 1 running iOS 4? If this is the case then go through the update process on your iPad 1. All the iPad 2 apps running on iOS 5 that are compatible with the iPad 1 will be put on your iPad 1. Those apps that require a camera will not appear because the iPad 1 does not have a camera.

It's a built-in app, so it can't be deleted nor downloaded from the store. If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Camera being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
