Some of the Master Data Attributes DataSources not visible in RSA5

Hi Experts,
After installation of R/3 ECC 5, some of the master data attributes datasources are not visible in RSA5.
Do i need to do any other settings to get them.

Thanks for quick response. I have checked those tables. i found that i have same datasources as it is in RSA5.
For example: i have 0SALE_DIST_TEXT in both RSA5 and ROOSOURCE, how i can have the attributes for the same.
also i don't have attributes datasource for Customer Group1...5, Material Group1...5, sales office etc.,

Master Data Attribute is not getting reflected in the Cube?

Hi All,
I have loaded the data from ODS to the cubes for customer master and it contains a lot of navigational attributes
for instance :
master data for customer in development is
customer customer group 5(nav attributes) Customer pricing group
1001 HAW IE
And hence when i load the customer 1001 from the ods to the cubes i can see the customer contains navigtional attributes for customer pricing group but CUSTOMER GROUP5 doesnt gets displayed in the cube.
I check the master data it contains the values for customer group. How to Rectify this issue?

hi all,
I have explicity clicked on the navigational attributes in the cube i can see the values for the other navigational attributes being displayed in the cube for customer master but then only one navigational attribute is not getting displayed.
For instance
customer, customer gp2, customer grp5
100, nr, nv
only customer grp5 is not getting displayed which has values in the master data but then customer grp2 along with customer is getting displayed.

0material master data - attribute updated - not reflected in all providers

Hello,
An attribute of 0material was populated with data. Previously it was blank.
Since 0material is available in the dso's and cubes, the attributes come in as navigational.
I am a bit confused. The DSO which loads to the cube is not reflecting the 0material new attribute when displaying data. The cube which is loaded from the same DSO is reflecting the change to the 0material.
I did not think that data needed to be deleted and reloaded?
The attribute change run is part of the process chain and should update both dso and cube?
Example;
Cube
Cust 1
material abc
new attribute bingo
net value 100
DSO which feeds above cube
no data when selecting the same criteria above?
However, when extracting only material and new material attribute in the dso, the attribute comes up.
I am not sure if I am being clear. Thanks for any help you can provide.

figured out the issue - I went back and saw the dso nav attributes were not selected. Should have noticed it sooner.

Enhancing Master Data Attribute Datasource with a Key Figure

Hi All,
I need to add key figure 0PRICE as a display attribute of characteristic 0XYZ.
I enhanced the datasource 0XYZ_ATTR, by adding an append structure to BIW_XYZ. Do I need to add a currency field to the append structure? Where do I reference this currency field? Your input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, you need to include a currency field, at least when you get to the BW side (mapping) ... In this case, if you use 0PRICE, you need to include 0CURRENCY...
You can either assign it in the ABAP routine for the InfoObject Attributes in CMOD or once you do the mapping in BW... Either as a fixed value or transferred from R/3, if you added it to the enhance structure and assigned a value to it in your CMOD include...
0MATERIAL is a good reference to look at for this kind of scenario...

Deleting the Master Data is not possible

Im trying to delete the master data attribute data by context menu of master infoobject . But it is says that "Not all master data can be deleted".
I looked at the help from that message .It says that i need to go SLG1 transaction and then delete like that
But i dont have authorization for that transaction(SLG1).
So plese tell me what i ahve to do for deleting the master data .

I got the error in the Schedule Process chain were one of my Delta Load-Master Data is not taking data from the source system.For rectifing the error is tried to check the Master data attribute (InfoPackage) in InfoSource. But I am getting the error message as "Attributes are not yet maintained" RSM006. Please provide the solution to the problem. As I want to run the scheduled Process Chain.

Master Data Attributes not showing in InfoCube

Hi Experts,
I'm a little lost here. I have loaded the master data for a field ZPARTY(data coming from 3 non-SAP sources S1, S2 and S3) with all its attributes. I have actovated it and I see it as well in the BEx.
Now I have loaded related Transaction data and and I have ZPARTY in that InfoCube as well. Now I can see the attibutes showing up in InfoCube from S1 and S2 but not from S3.
I have deleted the data and reloaded it as well. I made sure that the SIDS get generated as well and I can see SIDs as well but I do not see the data from S1 for the master data attributes.

You can check the following things,
1) In the infoobject maintainance screen on the attributes tab, just check that attributes coming from S3 are marked as Navigation attributes.
2) Check whether they are time dependent or independent attributes.
3) Once you load all the data check it in master data view of ZPARTY infoobject and make sure that all the data is active.
4) If you are not able to see the data loaded then check the underlying mappings of infoobject from S3 to ZPARTY in transformation or transfer rule.
5) Finally in infocube check that you have marked all the navigation attributes available for reporting.

Using "Master Data Attribute of" in the Update Rule

Hi,
In my update rule of, i want to replace the master data attribute of my characteristic instead of using its source characteristic. For example. InfoObject ZSTORECODE has an attribute ZSTORENAME. My objective is to use the Store Name instead of a Store Code.
I initially thought of using "Master Data Attribute of" in the update rules. However, I always end of with having an error of "No Values."

'Overlapping Time Intervals' error while loading the Master Data

Guys,
          Need you help with this. I am trying to load the Master Data (attribute) for InfoObject 0FMD_FRSITM using DTP from DataSource 0FMD_FRSITM_ATTR and am getting an error 'Overlapping Time Intervals'.
This is happening due to overlapping Valid From/Valid To date's for the same Financial Statement Item (0FMD_FRSITM) with different Editions.
If I select the option 'Ignore Duplicate Records' while loading the data, it is successful. But not all the records are loads and Editions are missing.
Below is an example of how the data looks like.
FRSITM         Valid To                  Valid From                 Edition
1001             12/31/9999             04/01/2010                2010.1.1
1001             01/31/2010             03/01/2010                2010.1.2
1001             12/31/9999             02/01/2010                2010.1.3
In the above scenario, the Valid To Data for record 1 and record 3 is the same (12/31/9999) and the record 3 is being ignore when I select the option 'Ignore Duplicate Records'.
And also I see that the Edition is not the Key Field.
Any suggestions or ideas? Appreciate your help.

1. While selecting ignore duplicate, make sure to-date is not part of symantic key.
2. if system comes across two same records it picks up the latest one.
3. It shall merge the timelines is overlap is found.
4. I hope Edition is time dependent attribute
I believe infoobjet key is FRSITM Valid To.
In your case because first record has more period and may be the latets record system ignore the earlier one with the same time interval.
have a look at Q table and you shall be able to figure out for your self.

Transofmration : Master data attribute

Hello,
I am on NW 2004S BI and ECC 6.0.
In the transformation rule types, i can not find "Master data attribute of" .
If this is the case in this version,in the infocube, how to load the data for a particular IO, which is an attribute of another IO ?
In the older versions, in the update rules, i can select either source, constant, master data attribute of,routine etc ..
Any advice?

We have "Master Data Attribute" as a Rule type of Transformation in NW2004S BI also.
Where in the previous version BW3.x you have option to create the Master Data Read Rule only between
DataTarget to DataTarget
or
Infosource to DataTarget.
But, The New Enhancement of NW2004S BI is, Even you can read the Master Data Attribute in Transformation have builded between DataTarget (InfoCube or ODS) and DataSource also.
How to assign the InfoObject for Master Data Read?
Select Target Field.
Select the source InfoObject from where you want to read Master Data.
When you have to choose the "Master Data Read" as the Rule Type. Then You will get the entry block next to Rule Type.
Click F4, then it will give the Attribute automatically.

the value of the characteristic is not available from the datasource fields..but it is a master-data attribute of one of the infoobjects present in the communication structure..
in such case..use this option..
example..u required contract-account in the cube..but it isnt available from datasource..but contract is present in datasource..and contract account is a master data attr of contract..
so this option will be used while creating update rule for contract account infoobject...MDA of (contract)..

No Master Data Attributes Value Loaded

Hi
   I have a custom Master Data Info Object which gets it feed for a simple master data attribute data source.
    However none of the Master Data Attributes actually are populated though my request load is successful.
    I get 144913 records transferred but only 78596 added. Despite this I have not a single attributes value populated.
    Could the reason the data is dropping because I have 3 key fields in my datasource VIEW but only 1 Key defined in the Update Rule ? If yes, how can I change the Update Rule to include more Key Fields ?

I request you to check the transforamtion between your data source and data target once again.
When loading to data target, according to your transformation only the records will be updated to your data target. But all the records will get populated.
Yes, Key fields are also one reason, if the duplicate rows being populated.
Compare your data target data & RSA3 Extractor checker.Whether the duplicate records being added together or not

Flexible Uploading
Transaction code RSA1LEAD YOU TO MODELLING
1. Creation of Info Objects
In left panel select info object
Create info area
Create info object catalog ( characteristics & Key figures ) by right clicking the created info area
Create new characteristics and key figures under respective catalogs according to the project requirement
Create required info objects and Activate.
2. Creation of Data Source
In the left panel select data sources
Create application component(AC)
Right click AC and create datasource
Specify data source name, source system, and data type ( Transaction data )
In general tab give short, medium, and long description.
In extraction tab specify file path, header rows to be ignored, data format(csv) and data separator( , )
In proposal tab load example data and verify it.
In field tab you can you can give the technical name of info objects in the template and you not have to map during the transformation the server will automatically map accordingly. If you are not mapping in this field tab you have to manually map during the transformation in Info providers.
Activate data source and read preview data under preview tab.
Create info package by right clicking data source and in schedule tab click star to load data to PSA.( make sure to close the flat file during loading )
3. Creation of data targets
In left panel select info provider
Select created info area and right click to create ODS( Data store object ) or Cube.
Specify name fro the ODS or cube and click create
From the template window select the required characteristics and key figures and drag and drop it into the DATA FIELD and KEY FIELDS
Click Activate.
Right click on ODS or Cube and select create transformation.
In source of transformation , select object type( data source) and specify its name and source system Note: Source system will be a temporary folder or package into which data is getting stored
Activate created transformation
Create Data transfer process (DTP) by right clicking the master data attributes
In extraction tab specify extraction mode ( full)
In update tab specify error handling ( request green)
Activate DTP and in execute tab click execute button to load data in data targets.
4. Monitor
Right Click data targets and select manage and in contents tab select contents to view the loaded data. There are two tables in ODS new table and active table to load data from new table to active table you have to activate after selecting the loaded data . Alternatively monitor icon can be used

I have 2 InfoObjects ZPSCHRCHY and 0PROFIT_CTR from InfoCube WBS cost and allocations I want both the InfoObjects to be mapped to 0PROFIT_CTR attribute of 0WBS_ELEMT master data object, I have tried the Master Data Attribute but only 0PROFIT_CTR is an attribute of the Master Data.how can I mapped ZPSCHRCHY and 0PROFIT_CTR to 0PROFIT_CTR?, Is creating a start routine for it must be used?
