Some PDF covers are not displayed in iTunes

Hi,
I´m importing epub and pdf files into iTunes. Epub in general workes fine. Some of the imported PDF do not show a cover. I have done so many thinks but I have no idea why those file are having a problem:
- changd the picture
- changed the pdf added a new page with a new cover picture
- combined pdf with another pfd that has cover picture (which is shown if I just import that one)
- changed page size
- changed picture size
Does anyone have any idea what could be the root cause? It is absolutelly platform independend as it happens as under MacOS as well as under Windows7. So the problem definatelly comes from the pdf itself.
Furthermore is there any why import pdf metadata? It is anoying always having to add all information a second time after importing the pdf.

Some PDF files are not displayed in Bridge

Hello,
here is the problem: I use Adobe Bridge CS2 to browse my large collection of PDF files, and unfortunately some files are not displayed in the Filmstrip View mode; instead a generic icon is shown (bridge1.png). Most PDF files, however, are displayed correctly (bridge2.png). Is this the problem of Bridge or of certain PDF files, and how should I fix them to make them being displayed by Bridge?

In fact, all files have similar type of content (research papers). However, I found out that all files which are not displayed are "protected" by the publisher such that they only can be viewed and printed, but not modified or disassembled. Apparently, this causes the problem with Bridge not displaying them. It's a pity that Bridge cannot handle them...

Some ipod songs are not displayed in itunes

I discovered several duplicated songs on my ipod touch, so I connected to itunes (PC), but the duplicated songs were only listed once when viewing the ipod music in itunes. While in itunes, viewing my ipod music, I erased all the music on my ipod and itunes then displayed no listing of any song on my ipod. When I check directly on my ipod, there are still 36 songs on the ipod. These are the ones that are dupilicated when I sync the ipod to itunes. How can I get rid of this duplication, or, How can I completely erase all songs from my ipod?

PDF files are not displayed. Why?

Most of the PDF files I uploaded are not displayed on Creative Cloud. Some I can view page by page, but most are only displayed as generic PDF icon.They are not very complex or difficult files - What is the problem? My InDesign files are displayed nicely. Even GMail displays the PDF files without a problem.
Any suggestions?

The problem I have with displaying PDF files is still the same: as soon as they are locked against editing (NOT password protected against opening) files cannot be viewed on Creative Cloud.
I just downloaded one of the files to my computer and e-mailed it to myself: GMail can view it without any problem. It's a bit strange that Google can do something Creative Cloud can't.
And its REALLY annoying that some PDF files just can't be viewed in Creative Cloud

Some Unit Price are not displayed on BOMs.

Some Unit Prices are not coming up on BOMs. If you click on the Price List drop down on the row and simply select the price list again then the price shows up.
I reproduced this on demo database PL15 + PL16.
Production > Bill of materials
Unit Price is empty for one of the items on the BOM
Select u2018Base priceu2019 again from list (on row)
Price populates
Logged in user is a superuser
Tools > change log > No changes since 2009
Any ideas what could be causing this? I did not find any relevant SAP note.

Hi Gordon,
I can manually refresh by choosing the price list again on the rows, then on the header and hit Update (Last Purchase Proce doesn't have the arrow at the bottom to click on to refresh). This solves the problem for now but for the long-term we want to find out why this occurred and how to prevent it happening again. Before upgrade, the customer did not have to manually refresh. Do you think it can be a bug?

PDF files are not displayed

Firefox does not display PDF files. I did not have this problem before and tried just about everything that has been mentioned under help and in the forum - including a complete and clean reinstallation. So far NOTHING seem to have any effect. For a while it says in the lower left corner "transfering data" (or something like that), but then is says "Done" and all I get is a blank screen.

Some PDF files will not display Why?

When I try and display some PDF files they only open up a blank screen. Any ideas.

I am having the same problem with Safari, I will save Adobe Reader to desktop quite it and try to open it again and get a blank and it telling me it doesn't recognize it. Then I copy it from Safari, and paste it into Firefox and it will open in Safari and anywhere it want to open it. I just use this instead of trying to open it again in Safari.

Hi, Yesterday, I added a new book to iTune and syn my iPod. After the syn, I found that only about 50% of the books on iTune showed up on the iPod. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how to fix this problem so that all books can be imported?

Waht was the source of the books that did not sync?
Are they really pdfs w/o DRM?

Some purchased songs are not transferring from itunes to ipod even others from the same album did.

Originally the songs were only partially downloaded. After completing the downloads to itunes it was suggested to de authorize the computer and then authorize the computer. Still unable to transfer to classic ipod. Even tried resetting ipod.
Any suggestions?

yeah, a little box comes up that says "the file ------ is not supported by the ipod" or some blah like that, and then theres this little button with a plus sign that you can click on and right next to it says 'see 181 total problems" and then it gives you a list of the things that didnt transfer. other than that, everything is fine.(well except for the fact that my music isnt transferring, of course.) its kinda new-ish, i got it in july, and its worked fine until now.

I'm sure this question can get rather old, but I do have my XML file properly updated, but my recent episodes are not displaying on iTunes. Any suggestions?

Things have been fine for the fist few weeks but my last two episodes have not updated - also, my iTunes link does not even seem to open so I am wondering if the address listed on iTunes may be broken. Any dieas or clues as to anything I can do?

and is working OK. However the Store hasn't updated since episode 6; when subscribing, episodes 7 and 8 do show, so the feed is OK. Normally it takes a couple of days or so for new episodes to show in the Store, but sometimes it 'sticks' and doesn't update for some time. I'm afraid you've got caught by this and there isn't really anything you can do about it except wait for it to sort itself out.

Some Flash Sites are not displayed with Flash Player 9

Hello everyone,
After having upgraded to Flash Player 9 I cannot view some
flash sites on either FF or IE.
I have checked around with other users also and they cannot
see them either.
Although the page seems to be loading with title etc. it
remains blank or it shows a blank block where it is supposed to be
the flash movie.
The problem is that it only happens to dynamic flash sites
that load text and images from external documents.
With Flash Player 8 they worked just fine.
The problem is that it is our company's page so we want to
have it up and running for everybody.

When a customer's business website goes down after installing
Flash Player 9 he just wants the site back up. First I had to
figure
out that they installed the Flash 9 player and then I had to
go to the Swish site to find out that Swish files won't run right

the Flash 9 player unless they get patched first. After
running the downloaded patch on all the swfs on the site (yes
uploaded
correct files and cleared the cache) there were still odd
things happening. I didn't have time to analyze why this was so, I
just
had to put the site back up and fast. Now that I have that
site back up (I have others that will need fixing too, no doubt), I
will go back and test everything again with Swish.
There are a whole lot of hours being lost over this
Swish/Flash9 player issue. Regardless of who's fault it is, there
are many
Flash sites down now.

Some Performance Counters are not displayed in PerfMon

I have SQL Server 2014 installed in my machine. I need to monitor some performance counters like \SQLServer:Database Mirroring\Log Send Queue KB. When I open the Add Counter dialog of PerfMon, the counter is displayed in the list. But when I add the
counter and click OK, the counter is not seen added to the list of counters to be monitored. Any one can tell me why this happens? The same issue is there for some other counters like Replication Dist.\Dist:Delivery Latency. My OS is Windows Server Standard

Its would be more easy for you, if you have server with these setups in your environment to check counters /or run your program there to test.

PDF files are not opening in IE!!!

Some PDF files are not displayed while opening in browser IE . The PDF files are generated through servlets (JWS 2.1). While analysing the problem we have found that the one request invokes the doget() method of the servelet more than once. This problem is not appearing in netscape.
Please give suggestions.

I am having the same sort of problem. I have a form posting to a servlet that displays a pdf based on the vars posted to it. My doPost() calls doGet(). When I post to the the servlet the doPost() is called and then it calls the doGet() and then SOMETHING else calls the doGet() again. Since the vars that I am using to load the pdf are posted they are out of scope for the second doGet(). I tried two things to fix this:
I changed my doPost() method to do nothing but check the request variables and hold on to them. Then I changed my doGet() to use the values that I held instead of the request vars. This only worked sometimes.
Then when I rolled all of my code back and changed my form from POST to GET everything worked fine. It seems that there is something that causes the browser to always call the GET when you are using application/pdf. If my doPost() calls my doGet() everything is lost on the second doGet()

CF8 - pdf files do not display in a browser

We are setting up the multiple instance capability using jrn4 with cf8,
with apache 2.x on Redhat linux 5.X.
For the when browsing to the main cfusion instance I can see pdf files
but if I go to the document root of an instance, pdf files are not displayed.
Infact it hoses whichever browser you are using.
I can see cfm, txt, html files.
Anyone have an idea what is happening?

I tried your recommendation of turning off coldfusion and it
appears the problem of not being able to display
a pdf file has nothing to do with coldfusion or with apache.
The problem appears to be how we are mounting the documentroot on a linux server
from a windows file server using a cifs mount.
It seems to handle text files properly but not pdf files (it may have problems
with other types of files), perhaps it is an issue with end of line or end of
file which is confusing things.
This is the mount command we are using
//win_file_server/xyz /data/xyz cifs user,ro,credentials=credentials,uid=48,gid=48,file_mode=0755,dir_mode=0755
The credentials file contains
username=some_name
password=xxxxxxxx
uid=apache
gid=apache
filemode=0660
dirmode=0770
nosuid
nosetuids
It works file if the documentroot is on a mounted unix file system, but not windows.
Does anyone know if mounting a windows file system can work properly?
(Perhaps we are missing some additional settings).

Using Windows 7, now Reader XI and now SOME pdf files won't display. Try: 'PDF of Reader XI Help'!!!

After installling Reader XI SOME pdf files will not display. Using Windows 7 and all worked fine until installation of XI. Esample: when I try to display YOUR file 'PDF of Reader XI Help' all I get is a blank screen with an X in the upper right corner. Works just fine with Windows XP and Reader 8.5.1. Any ideas ????? Thanks.
