Some PDF's will print in 7 Pro but not 8 Pro?

Certain PDF's will print in 7 but not in 8? Is it connected to 10.5.5 or 10.5.6? or maybe CS4?
Has anyone else had this problem?

If it has to do with 8 on X.5.6 and 7 work fine. It more like a Problem with 8.
7 is older. and would be the most likely to break.
try the Following:
Download the lastes driver for your Printer.
Next go to Printer Utility and delete your Current printer. Then quit Printer Utility
Next install the Driver.
Now go back to Printer Utility and choose add Printer. Your newly installed driver should show up.
Now choose that as default Printer.
Now open First Acrobat 8 and go to Page setup. Choose the new print Driver and and click on top button to save as default printer for Acrobat.
Now print something. If Works You've cured problem.
Close Acrobat 8.
Repeat with Acrobat 7. Youshould be all set.
Now while at it. Do the following for PDF Printer:
Now Repeat instructions just below Try the following: except this time Delete the Adobe PDFPrinter.
Now open Acrobat 8 First and go to help and choose repair and reinstall.
Have Acrobat install version of PDFPrinter for Version 8 only.
Now you should be able to create PDF's That either application can use only 7 won't use any new features in 8.

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that when trying to print from your laptop that you get a communication error message.
To better assist you, would you please provide some further information:
1)       How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet or wireless)?
2)      When you installed the printer on your laptop did you set it up with a USB cable? If yes, did you switch the connection type on the laptop from USB cable to ethernet/wireless?
3)      What version of Windows operating system are you running on the laptop (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8, etc)?
4)      When printing from your iPhone are you using Apple's AirPrint or HP's ePrint app?

When I click on a file, the downloads box opens and depending on the setting, it auto saves the file or asks me where to save the file. You can use printPages(1, 5), however I need to know how you print current page.

PDFs display and print fine in Acrobat but not in Preview of PDFPenPro

I have a curious problem in that check boxes in certain PDF files (insurance applications) appear as a "p" instead of a check box when I view the file in Preview or PDFPenPro. The check boxes appear and print properly when I open the PDF in Acrobat.
I've checked the fonts with the Apple Font utility and there seems to be no issues with any of the fonts.
Any suggestions?

Strangely I'm now having exactly the same problem all of a sudden. I've been building the book for about a month now (I've made about 6 before without any trouble) and along the way have been producing a pdf of the book to see how it will look. Yesterday I noticed some of the images seemed to have lost colour when looking at the pdf version and then today, many pictures all of a sudden look exactly like the example you've supplied above.
I've tried shutting down my imac and restarting thinking it was a memory issue, have checked if I had any filters activated (which I don't and I haven't used filters in books before either), have tried repairing then rebuilding aperture, copying the book to a new library, new location, opening on a different mac and then printing again but none of this had any positive effect.
So from what I understand from your last post, the workaround you came up with was to revert to the original of each image that had the problem and then make the adjustments again?

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

Please let me know if you have tried converting any other PDF to word with Reader.
Alos, please sign up at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/" using your Adobe ID credentials. Click on 'ExportPDF' tab and upload the PDF that you want to convert to Word.
Let me know if this converts fine.

Welcome to the HP forum.
I understand you can't print from your Mac book pro. I would like to help.
Since your iPad can print I think it is a software issue.
Go into system preferences and remove the printer.
I would also uninstall the HP software if any is present.
You should then verify and repair the disk permissions.
Then do an Apple update.
Reboot your Mac book pro.
Then install the HP software.
HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer Series Full Feature Software and Drivers - Mac OS X v10.7

Just bought an Epson 2540 Printer, connects with iPhone but not Macbook Pro

I am able to print from my iPhone but not my Macbook Pro. Wireless test page worked fine. Turned on Sharing option, turned off firewall, and still does not connect. This is very frustrating, please help

You may have to visit the Epson website and make sure your printer has drivers updated for Mavericks:

Updating the drivers through this link should fix your issue. Post if there's any problem.

Quit your browsers.
Open the Finder.
From the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Typs this exactly as you see it here: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Click Go
Move the Adobe PDF Browser plugin (or just PDF Browser plugin) to the Trash.
Relaunch either Firefox or Safarai and try downloading a PDF document.

Apparently my first response was off in left field. The DVD player has its own code. My recommendation is to change the code when it asks. It is possible that the disks that play correctly are region-free and the ones that don't have a region code. If this does not work, you still have four more changes available; you won't be stuck with the new code.

Officejet 6500A Plus Suddenly only prints red for most but not all occasions.

In the middle of printing a report it switched to RED ink. I bought and replaced black cartridge... though it still had ink. (NO SUCCESS) It prints BLACK for copies, for documents on Pages (I Mac) and from wife's laptop that is connected. SOMETIMES IT PRINTS BLACK when I click on PDF and Print.... but not all the time. It ALWAYS PRINTS RED when I print an e mail. No TROUBLESHOOTING suggestions seem to fit this irregular problem

PDF's are typically send to the printer as graphics, which may cause them to be printed with the color cartridge rather than black. If your cyan cartridge is low (or not working) the print will appear red. To address cyan not printing properly the document here may help.
Depending on your OS you may be able to set the printer to print in Grayscale and Black ink only.

I'm trying to install adobe acrobat XI pro, the trial version. The Install Download Assist pops up but the program doesn't install. I do see a file named XI Pro, but not a program. It seems the program never completely downloads. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've tried to download the trial version of Acrobat XI pro but it's not working. The time bar is active for the download and indicates that it will take two hours. When I come back, the screen has gone back to the "install free trial here" page. I do see a file for XI Pro, but not a program.
