Some photos under face are blank

When i use a face detection in a Thumbnails section some photos are blank.
This happens when I use a square thumbnails, but if i change a format on full, the photos are displayed correctly!
I try to rebuild a thumbnails and the permission of my iphoto library, without result. Thanks Stefano

I had that on one photo that had been edited. When I reverted to the original the thumbnail in the Faces section displayed properly.

The exclamation make is an indication that iPhoto has broken the file path to the original photo.
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Some Photos in Library are not showing on iPhoto

I imported some photos from another Mac to my MacBook Air and organized them in several events. All went well until I had a large number of photos (and some videos) which took a long time to transfer and iPhoto was not responding for over an hour. I forced quit the iPhoto and now when I go back, I see the events that I had created but they are empty (photos are not showing). When I tried to re-import the photos, it says the photos are duplicate which I assume it means photos exist in the photo library. My question is how do I get the photos existing in the library to be visible on iPhoto. Thanks.

Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - from the resulting first aid window repair permissions and if necessary rebuild your database

Some photos outside viewing area Bridge CS5

Some of my files are outside the viewing area of my monitor when I try to choose them from the Bridge program. At first there was a slider at the bottom of the screen, but after I loaded and installed the update from Adobe and restarted, even that option disappeared. If I can not see all photos in a folder, CS5 is not very useful.

I think I have not made myself clear--sorry about that. What I mean is that
the view of some of the photos is cut off. That is, I can see only part of
some of the photos. Scrolling through them by using the arrow keys has
shown that there are no photos that are completely hidden, which I feared at
first. By this I mean that I highlighted the photo to the left of the first
cut-off photo and then used the right arrow key to highlight successive
photos. The first photo highlighted by using the right arrow key was the
first cut-off photo (top row) and the second photo highlighted by using the
right arrow key was the first one in the second row. The cut-off photos are
only on the right side of the screen, at any and all window sizes. This
happens only in the Photoshop Bridge. I have not changed the monitor
resolution since buying this computer four or five weeks ago. And yes, I
realize this is not normal. It happens only in the Photoshop Bridge.

Some photos from iPhoto are not appearing in iMovie

I have successfully imported over 2,000 pictures from iPhoto into iMovie. However, my latest attempt did not work- these photos were from a CD scanned by somebody else. The photos are in iPhoto, but when I pull up the folder in iMovie, it is blank.
Any idea why??? Thanks.

You should be able to tell in iPhoto. If not, right click on the photo in iPhoto and select "Reveal in Finder". You should see the file. Right click on it and select "Get Info"

How to suppress a complete row when some of the columns are blank

Hello,
is it possible to suppress an entire row in the BEx Report where some of the columns contain no values. The report is in BW 3.5 version and is opened in the web browser. It contains only characteristics in the ROWS area of BEx Designer.

Hi,
You can wirte a condition on any keyfigure stating that KF1 > 0.So once that condiiton is active and if any column is blank then it will not display it.

Some extension dialog boxes are blank

When I press on some extension buttons (for example Ghostery, Self-Destructing Cookies) on top bar, or on menu bar, to open their dialog boxes, those boxes opens but looks like white blank boxes. They worked before, but now they are empty.

In my iPhoto library some photoes are black

Some photoes at random are black, though I can find them being okey in finder ( strangely, there is changed file which is black as well so there are 2 types of one photo). Please help, don't know what to do!

I did post to the iPhoto forum and am hoping for an answer soon. I don't want to continue rebuilding my iphoto library if I can do it using originals. My library has 45,000 pictures...a huge job!

You are checking the Camera Roll or Saved Photos album in the Photos app ? If so then you could try a reset to see if that fixes it : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

From some reason (i'm not sure why..) my whole iphoto library got deleted. I restored the whole library from my backup. The photos are blank but steel have the photo info. (date, res., size etc.) Do you know what's the prob.? why can't i see my pics.

The original image files are missing form your iPhoto library or iPhoto cannot find them, because the link to the originals has been broken. The image info is stored in the internal libraries, independent of the original files. That is, why you are still seeing them.
I restored the whole library from my backup.
Try restoring from an older backup, from before you first noticed the problem.
How large is the library, that you restored? Is the file size large enough to hold all your photos, or has the size been reduced? If the library is still large, the photos may still be inside, even if iPhoto cannot find them.

What happened, before your iPhoto library got deleted? Which applications have you been running, or which new software have installed or upgraded? Have you moved the library to a different disk or tried to use it from different user account or access it over the network?

Some Photos are blank after conversion from Aperture

Library contains 45K photos .. migrated from Aperture. For some reason a large number of the photos have meta data but are blank. Where have they gone?

Two photos .. appear to be dupes .. but the case of the file NAME is different. The UPPERCASE JPG is blank .. the lowercase .jpg is not.

Having trouble viewing photos in Picasa Web albums. When I upload them from my Picasa program to the web, some do not get loaded. Lots of blanks between photos.
Help from Picasa told me It was a problem with Mozilla Firefox to "Right-click the placeholder of. browser, however, I have been unable to do this.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

Some images are blank in the windows

Ads appear normal but photos and other images, like the calculator in the yahoo home page or news photos are blank squares. The imac G5 is new. It has a 2.16 GHx processor. It worked normal then developed this problem after a fooled around with the mouse settings. Anybody know how to get the images to appear? If I open the image in another window it appears.

I have experienced similar problems; i.e., Quicktime logo with a question mark displayed in place of frame content or simply blank. Experience varies by webpage.
Go to /Safari/Preferences/Security. You will see 4 choices under Web Content. From experimentation it appears that for website optimized for Explorer, un-checking "Enable JavaScript" will fix the problem but on other websites; e.g., Apple sites, this will disable some links. In other cases leaving JavaScript active and un-checking Enable plug-ins has the opposite effect.
Appears to be a bug in Safari - 10.5 compatibility. Under 10.4 you can try moving QuickTime Plugin.plugin to the desktop from /Library/Internet Plug-ins.

Iphoto. When I play an album "slideshow" some photos show up as a blank/black screen. Please help if you know what I am doing wrong.

When I playing a "slideshow" album, a few photos show up as a blank screen. Also, when I select a photo in an album to make it full screen - some photos won't "hold" - they go full screen for about a second, then the screen goes blank. Any ideas about what I am doing wrong? Thank you.

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/ Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help: As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

"People" profile/face pictures are blank

In Elements 11, my "people" profile pictures are at times blank, even though the faces are tagged. Does this happen to anyone else? Any suggestions? I just see the person icon instead.

Andaleeb: When I open a people stack, I can only see some of the faces on my photos, not all of them. Even though two photos are tagged alike (keyword and people tags), one may show the face and the other may not. Did it not cenvert over from PE9 correctly? And now, I am seeing a message when I select a person that says "would you like to migrate this person's faces". I said yes, thinking this would be the solution, and it does bring some over, but now I have TWO people tags for the same person!!!! Can I consolidate those?
