Some pictures have a red "X" in them

Hi there,
I searched for a while on this topic, but couldn't quite get the answer I'm looking for.
When viewing my website using Internet Explorer, some (not all) pictures appear with a red "X" in them. It seems strange to me that most of the pictures post properly, and that this issue doesn't happen with them all.
I know what some of you are thinking, IE is old and you prefer Firefox or other options. Since I'm using this as a business site, I'm hoping to figure out a way to make it work o.k. when viewed by IE. I have also attempted using other web software such as DreamWeaver, but that's way over my head and I simply don't have the time (or motivation) to learn it. Is there any way to make iWeb's pictures to work well with IE?

Hmmm. I originally took the photo and saved it as a .jpg. From what I understand, iWeb converts it to a png, no?
This same issue is also happening with some text boxes. The one on my home page is a png, but I do not know how to change it to a jpg or even if that's possible.
I'm so not programming savy, so bear with me a bit here.

Only some pictures have preview images in 'Years' view

Has anyone else encountered a problem where many pictures have a preview image, but no matter how long you leave Photos running, some pictures' preview image is just a grey square? Is there any way to manually make Photos go through and build preview images for every photo?

All my pictures have a red flag instead of the actual picture?

I have tried to go on several sites and all the pictures or login bars are missing there is a small red flag in its place. It is fine in internet explorer just not firefox. How can I get the pictures back?

I had the same problem today with a CP1217. Went to Devices and Printers, Preferences, Advanced, Print Processor, and changed it from ZIMFPRINT to HP Color Laserjet. It works now.

My built in isight pictures have a red hue!?

When the isight is in use in any program the image is red. there are no filters on and have tried it in different programs, and all the same result reddish pictures. Can anyone help?

Contacts have a red line through them

I have a contact in my phone that has a red line through it and they cannot call me but I can call them. please help me fix this problem.

If you can hook another monitor up and the line is also on it, the problem is your video card. If it's not on the other monitor it's your iMac display. Either way it's not good. Most iMac video cards are soldered onto the logic board and if it goes bad the whole board needs to be replaced and is very expensive. If it's the display it can be changed out but not cheap. Since you have a 20" and 10.5.5 it sounds like an older machine and may be time to get a new one. You need to take it to an Apple repair place to find out for sure.

After taking some pictures with my iphone, I downloaded them to my computer. Well when I began using the phone again I realized it had uploaded all my photos to the iphone. I don't want that and didn't expect it. It just did it. I want them off!

I have gone to my ATT and store for help but it's not "synching in to my head" on how to do it. Which means I consider this a bit to complicated. So how do I manage what goes on and off my phone. It seems that somewhere it should ask before it does it. Anyway in a step by step process how do I get the pictures off my iphone.

I have the same issue. I spoke to apple support and they had me delete all my music and re-sync. It happened again after I re-synced. This a major issue. Many people are experiencing the same issue and I can't believe that this hasn't been addressed.

Importing into iPhoto, Pictures Have Red Tint

This has gotten progressively worse over time...
I have .NEF files that are created using a Nikon D90 camera in a folder. In the past these images would import successfully into iPhoto. By import, I do NOT create a second image inside the iPhoto library but simply have iPhoto create a link to the image in the folder.
Now all of the photos I have imported have a RED TINT to them. Here's what I have found:
1. When the .NEF is imported into iPhoto it has a RED TINT
2. When I go to the folder, and press the space bar to preview the file, the photo has a RED TINT.
3. When I go into Photoshop, the photo shows up in it's proper color.
What seems the be the problem here? This was not the case when I first began using iPhoto '11 with my .NEF files. Any thoughts?

Thanks for replying Lennart, but the problem I'm having is with still photos being imported from iPhoto, not video clips. There are no transitions or titles involved. I was simply importing some photos and planned to go back to add transitions.
I thought about it while at work today and realized that the photos I was trying to add to the timeline were 1) all scanned, and 2) possibly bitmap format. So I started playing with it again when I got home. Sure enough, the bitmap photos import with a red filter look, jpegs do not. To verify this premise even more I duplicated a bitmap photo and then converted it to jpeg. Sure enough, the red filter appears when I import the bitmap image but not on the jpeg.
Why? Beats me. Maybe some of the more technical folk have an explanation. Thankfully I don't have that many bitmap images and I will simply convert those that are.
One more note, out of curiosity I decided to try importing a still RAW photo to an iMovie. The image shows beautifully in iMovie but in the timeline in shows as a black frame. I wouldn't ordinarily import a RAW image, I was just curious.

Does not open some pictures at Picasa

Firefox does not open some pictures on picasa where IE opens them all.
This only happens at Picasa, with everyones albums. Only about 1/2 show up and the ones that do not cannot be opened.

It is possible that you clicked "Block Images" in the right click context menu while trying to save an image.

Yes there is. Those songs are not actually on your iPad. They are in iCloud ready for download if you choose to do so. If you want to remove them go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Show All>Music>Off. You can also do this in Settings>Music>Show All Music>Off.

Reinstall iPhoto.
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

If the photos were from Camera Roll, then they are saved on your latest iPhone backup. You could restore the backup from iTunes (or iCloud).
