Some podcast just don't sync

Hi,
I have an ipod touch 1gen, my podcast settings are "sync all new podcasts" but since some time I've noticed that some podcasts, even if new, never make it to my ipod, they just remain on itunes, marked as unwatched and new.
I've tried changing the settings to "sync all unwatched" and even manually select them, same result, they remain stucked in itunes.
I have itunes 9.02 for mac.
Any suggestion?

I have the same thing happening to me. I discovered it to be an sync'ing issue with some (video)podcast not syncing to the iPod anymore because iTunes " thinks" the audio/video format is not supported by the iPod.

It sue souned like you are doing what you are supposed to be doing. This method is fine for syncing the apps and it should work for you. I do not suto sync either. I never have.

This may have messed up the sync because you had already clicked on sync and the you changed the configuration with the books and you clicked on Apply.
Why don't you try to sync agan? Select the apps and then click on sync. But If you have to select the apps again in iTunes - the sync button should turn into the apply button because having to select the apps changes the configuration. Any time you change the configuration you must apply the changes.
Also, do you think it will work better if I upgrade my iMac to Lion?

New Podcast Subscriptions don't sync

I've subscribed to several new podcasts and they don't show up in my Touch. When I click the podcast tab in iTunes, it crashes.

There's a long-standing problem which causes iTunes to crash when you select the Podcasts pane( tab) that shows up while the Touch is connected to iTunes. Apple are aware of it, but so far, no fix has turned up.
Unfortunately, it sound as though your option to Sync Podcasts is not turned on, and of course this has to be done on the Podcasts pane, which you can't get to. I suggest that the very first thing you do is send in some feedback - go to http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipodtouch.html and select a *feedback type* of *bug report.* Make sure you include that fact that you cannot turn on the option to *Sync Podcasts* and therefore cannot get any Podcasts onto the Touch because of this problem.
Then, while waiting for action, check in your *iTunes Podcast Library* (without the Touch connected) to ensure that each of the Podcast episodes has a tick in the box (next to the episode name). If you haver *Sync only ticked songs and videos* selected, you need the tick to be on for the episodes to be transferred to the Touch.

I have created a number of Genius playlists, that I use to populate my phone with music when I sync. However, some of my more recent playlists don't appear to transfer. After running a sync, I can see the new playlist on my phone, but it is empty, and pressing the "Refresh" button does nothing. Is anyone else having this issue? Can it be fixed?

Some mp4 files don't sync, Some mp4 files don't sync

I have a problem syncing some videos onto my ipad 2.
This video works, it is 5 minutes, 1280x720, bitrate of 2872kbps, data rate 2720kbps, 23fps, audio bitrate 152kbps, audio sample of 44khz.
This video doesn't work, 2 hours, 1280x544, total bitrate 846kbps, data rate 774kbps, 23fps, audio bitrate 71kbps, audio sample rate 24khz.
both are using h.264
what's wrong?

Video has to conform to these specs:

Some messages just don't appear until restarting mail?

Hi we use kerio as our mail exchange server and its running great. The problem is i believe with apple mail checked the mail server logs all fine.
Sometimes, like this morning for instance I spoke to someone this morning who had sent me an email and it didn't show in my inbox until i just restarted mail this afternoon when it appeared??Sometimes the mail appears on the iphone at the correct time running exchange and not in mail.
This is happening to a few people in the company and I'm getting it in the ear.. for missed deadlines.
Anyone having similar experiences or know of the reason why? and how to rectify it? Its only the odd occasion, but it always seems to be an important email.

How it works:
After the installation you won ‘t find an application icon as it integrated within your menu options only. Visit the locations you want to white list and add them to the WiFi-Manager list. Ensure you have enabled the WiFi manager and then you ready to go.
Note: Sometimes a location might be between two cell towers or more so you might have to add the location multiple times to ensure you cover each cell tower.

Some podcasts don't sync

I've recently began having this problem - some podcast files don't get transfererd to my 60G video ipod. Some podcasts have new, unplayed files that don't seem to get recognized for transfer to the ipod, no mater what I do. I've tried various settings, including sync all podcasts; I've tried deleting the podcasts and redownloading them; etc.
I believe this problem may have started happening when I updated to iTunes 7.0 (and updated my iPod at the same time) but I'm not sure.

The podcast publisher says that there appears to be a technical issue with iTunes 7, however he believes that he has found a workaround. I will let you know when the problem is fixed, so maybe he can share the details with other publishers that are having problems.

ICal and reminders on Macbook don't sync with iCloud

Just now when iCal crashed on my MacBook Pro I realise that it hasn't been syncing with iCloud (lost al lot of appointments).
Any change made on my iPad, iPhone and on icloud.com syncs perfectly; even back to my macbook!
The rest on my laptop (notes, iWork apps, mail, contacts) all seem to work and sync perfectly with iCloud.
However iCal and Reminders made on my laptop just don't sync to iCloud!
The other way around works nicely (reminders and calendar appointments from iPad, iPhone and iCloud.com appear promptly on the macbook).
I have tried everything i could find (restarting computer, resetting icloud prefferences, log out and in from icloud, starting new calendar, checking icloud account). Nothing works...
Any change made from my macbook just doesnt make it to other devices. From other devices back to my mac do work.
On my macbook all calendars I have are in iCloud.
iCloud is active (with same login as for other devices)
Would be great if someone could help me with this one!

I have something similar and i will try to explain with my rusty english.
I have an ID on iCloud but i can't sync the iCal events.
On my mac there is everythign (appointment, notes birthdays and so on). On my iCloud there is nothing.
I suppose was something related with the old ID (one just for ichat, not one of the ID that you pay to receive extra services or a @me.com account).
Now, as soon as the icloud features was installed on my Macbook Air I signed a new ID and initially everything worked fine. Emails on Mail and contacts were syncronized properly but with the new ID. i did not check iCal account.
So i tried also with the old one (the ichat ID) and all was sync. So i realized that maybe Apple recognized same account or name and merge all the ID in just one.
I was wrong.
The 2 ID's are not linked.
further checks add also this new weird stuff. in any case i cant sync ical accounts. i tried to switch from one to another ID. no way. i checked preferences in iCal on the mac. everything is fine. no way.
do uu have any idea?

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. Why are some of my movies not syncing while others are? All of my movies are in m4v form, and some of them sync but some of them don't.

Some movies and songs on iTunes don't sync on iPod

I downloaded lots of songs and movies, but some (and mainly the movies) don't sync on my iPod. I thought this was normal but this time i downloaded so many movies and like 2 got on my iPod that i'm getting pist off! The movies are just normal quicktime mp4 files and they do go in to iTunes but not on my ipod...
So please help me, does someone knows a solution?

Some song don't sync *no warning*

So for some reason whenever I sync my iphone some song just wont sync. They're imported into itunes, and show up there, but whenever I sync they don't show up. Yes they are selected to sync, and yes I've tried doing a soft reset and even a restore. I've also tried it on an iphone 4 and the same thing happens. I've reinstalled itunes with no luck. Any clues?

Couple of thoughts...If these are purchased songs your computer must be athorized for the ID used to purchase them or they won't sync. Also, if you have checked these songs and they won't sync, confirm that you have checked "sync only checked songs and videos" on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings.

Smart playlists don't sync onto iPhone 6, and some other serious problems

Am syncing my music library via cable from a Mac Book iTUnes library onto the iPhone. The songs are on the phone, but
- many songs are duplicated and greyed out
- some songs don't sync at all and have a "download from the cloud" symbol next to them
- some songs are greyed out AND have a "download from the cloud" symbol next to them
- none of my roughly 30 smart playlists and one regular playlist are synced, There are only two standard entries "Genius Playlis" and "New Playlist".
- have tried manually syncing playlists by deselecting "sync all" and just checking one to be synced, but it won't sync either
- there is a mismatch in song count. ITunes on the Mac has 1415 songs, iTunes n the iPHone has 1024 songs
What's going on?????

Tried all the solutions but later found that the problem was related to iTunes being unable to find the link to the original file.
In iTunes, click on the Music icon at top left of screen, which should bring up the list of your music, artist, album etc.if you see an exclamation mark next to each file, it may be that the link to the location of your music file is lost. You need to right click on the track name and click GET INFO, then search through your computer to find the location of the missing file. I did this for a few tracks and then iTunes helpfully (?) asked if i would like it to do the rest of my music for me.
Then went back t iTunes and SYNCED as normal. I am not a techo type but hope this is helpful for others. Happy New Year

Some podcast don´t show in my Ipod

Hello, I've got an Ipod 80G and I have downloaded some podcasts. I can hear them fine and I saw in the display list, but I don´t know why I cannot see the anymore in the last days, I think the podcast are there but they don´t appear in the display. Somebody knows why I cannot see all my podcast?

Lo que recuerdo es solo haber conectado mi Ipod a la PC y descargar otros podcast. Los podcast que ya tenía no los he borrado de mi Ipod, en la sección de Podcast en Itunes aparecen esos podcast. he tratado de pasarlos nuevamente al Ipod, pero aparentemente hace la transferecia pero no lo veo en mi Ipod. No se si con esto, este duplicandolos.
¿Alguna sugerencia?

I have a similar problems. I have a Ipod 120gb and downloaded a number of podcasts to my ipod, which I saw yesterday, however, while reviewing one of them the ipod froze for a number of seconds and then all the podcasts disappeared except the one I was looking at.
Does anyone know why this happened.
