Some questions before I install Awesome WM

Hi,
I'm new to Arch and relatively new to Linux in general but I do enjoy tinkering with it.
Recently I have tried many different window managers, Gnome, KDE, Openbox and Fluxbox, each of which have their own little perks. However whilst browsing through the monthly screen shot threads I stumbled upon something new, something I haven't heard of; tiling window managers. I find the idea behind them to be innovative and would like to give them a try, particularly Awesome WM, before I do so I have a few questions outlined below.
1). I understand that a mouse is not needed, which can be a good thing but an obstacle as well depending on what I want to do. What I would like to ask is that can you keep the mouse functionality as well such as the cursor, left click, right click and possibly the scroll wheel? (Is this possible in both Xmonad and Awesome WM)
2). Can you have a panel so that you can either easily launch your applications or when you minimize say pidgin you can see its status icon?
3). Most of the screen shots I have seen show all these terminal windows running, I assume thats just for show. You can run gui based aps too such as something for burning cds, openoffice, firefox and other gtk aps?
4). If neither apply to Awesome WM, could you point me in the direction of a tiling window manager more tailored for my needs.
Please only leave helpful comments, I don't want to hear comments such as why do you want to use Awesome WM if your planning on running gui aps or don't want to run their terminal alternatives....Linux is about choice and I am entitled to my own as are you.
If you can help that would be "awesome".
PS: Please excuse the rather verbose post; its a problem of mine, hopefully one you come to find endearing.

blackbird wrote:Your response leads me to believe that I was asking if Awesome WM lets you assign shortcuts to the mouse, such as your very own example where a combination of mod4 and middle click would launch the terminal. What I intended to ask was whether you could use the mouse like you use it in other environments such as Gnome...where moving the mouse would move a cursor on your screen, left click would be used to select a window, move it around...etc.
Well I said "Yes." . The mouse behaves exactly like in other WMs and additionally you can add other functionality if you like. "Moving windows" is a little different in tiling window managers because windows aren't supposed to be moved around with the mouse, because the WM arranges them for you. However, in most tiling WMs, windows can have a special state named "floating", which means the WM isn't responsible how the window is placed on the screen and you can move it around freely (with the mouse). This is for example useful for applications like mplayer, vlc, gimp or gajim.
Brilliant; thanks for the clarification, I just hope nothing extra is required to obtain this functionality. Well if anything else is required that wont be a problem considering how good the Linux community is.
Thanks again
PS: There is a slight drawback to using Awesome WM though; whenever you google something about awesome wm you get results about people stating how awesome their window managers are, not specifically awesome wm lol. Everything comes at a price.
Nothing extra is required....just already preconfigured keystrokes do the job.

  • Thinking of upgrading to SL,But i have some Question before moving to SL

I will be glad if anybody can help me with my questions before moving to Sl.first,i like to know, after upgrading or fresh install,do i need to reinstall another windows xp on the machine, cos i use VMware Fusion?
Secondly,What option is the best,Upgrade or Fresh install?
Can i make backup using an external usb2 drive? and what can i do so my old setting remain after installing SL.Setting like my Chat history, and will my applications use the same lience key?
    Anybody with usefull advice?
What important it the history of chat i had on my pc.i work for a company as a mid man and this history help me to remember last diccussion with client..

In your place, I would move to SL if, and only if, I had an external drive with a bootable clone of my internal on it. I think that there is enough risk in going to SL that such conservatism is warranted. I would not use time machine alone for backup/restoring when moving to an OS upgrade or doing a point update. This app can be problematic and, consequently, its solo use is too risky for me in these cases. You will be able to extract your settings, files, and programs from your clone if you do an erase and install. You can erase and install or upgrade with any SL disk except the gray ones that come with specific machines. I still prefer to erase and install.
To erase and install (see upgrade option below), start up to your DVD and stop after selecting your language. Use the menus to start Disk Utility and erase your drive. Quit Disk Utility and proceed with your installation. At the end, you will be able to choose to reclaim your settings, files, and apps from the clone (plug in the external at the point of the last install restart).
If you do not like SL, then you can restore your internal using the clone. I would do all cloning and related restoration with SuperDuper, Carbon Copy Cloner, or some other up-to-date cloning app, including Disk Utility. Your clone also will serve as an independent backup for your data.
Upgrading is a very sound process on a Mac. Still, I also would insist on having a bootable clone on an external before upgrading. An upgrade is performed by installing over your existing installation from the desktop or having started from your SL DVD. All your programs, data, and settings will be present after an upgrade, but incompatible programs will be archived.

  • Some Questions before I buy a Macbook

    Hi all,
i have some questions - maybe some of you guys may help me.
    here we go.
    1. here in germany we have three options.
    - Core Duo 1,83 GHz with combo drive, white (1079 Euro)
    - Core Duo 2GHz with DVD Burner, white (1279 Euro)
    - Core Duo 2GHz with 80GB Harddisk and DVD Burner, black (1479 Euro)
Is it worth to buy the middle option? 200 Euro extra for 0,17Ghz and a DVD Burner - sounds a bit expensive?!
    2. Is the performance difference betweeen 1,83 Ghz and 2 ghz noticeable?
    3. Why is a RAM upgrade to 1GB recommended? and is the performance difference betweeen 512MB and 1GB noticeable?
    4. Is it possible to possible to deactivate "cleartype" (the display looks a bit blurred)
    5. Is the DVD Burner ok? Does it burn any DVD? Are there some issues?
    6. Is it (easy) possible to install +512MB (or 2x 512MB) RAM and a bigger Harddisk by myself? The guys in the shop said that I will loose guarantee if I will do this by myself. Harddisk costs 80GB (+40€), 100GB (+140€), 120GB (+230€) - Sounds more than expensive!!!!
Thanks in advance for your replies,

Barely, but if you're buying a new computer, it's always a good idea to get the fastest that's currently out.... simply because it won't be outdated as fast as if you get the lowest option.
    3. Why is a RAM upgrade to 1GB recommended? and is
the performance difference betweeen 512MB and 1GB
    noticeable?
It's huge. As much as a 200%-300% difference. MacOS and Windows XP both take quite a bit of ram. I'd go all the way and get 2GB. It's only $150 or so if you buy from Newegg. Get the Gstar RAM.... I've tested it for over 3 hours with diagnostic tools and it's just as good as the crucial memory, which I tested as well. No differences (they both run at the same Mhz with the same timings.) You won't regret it.
    4. Is it possible to possible to deactivate
"cleartype" (the display looks a bit blurred)
    Yup.
    5. Is the DVD Burner ok? Does it burn any DVD? Are
    there some issues?
There are some issues with some Superdrives in some Macbooks. Mostly the scratching thing. But, of course, Apple will replace your Superdrive if it has issues, so I wouldn't worry about it.
    6. Is it (easy) possible to install +512MB (or 2x

Both the hard drive and the RAM is official 'user serviceable" parts with official Apple Manuals documenting just how to install them. Therefore upgrading them yourself does NOT void your warrenty (unless, of course, you're extremely negligent in how you install the parts, and damage your computer from not following directions.) But as long as you follow directions (and they're incredibly easy), you're good to go.
Thanks in advance for your replies,

Hope this helps! Honestly, if you're worried about the $200, just get the 1.83 model and spend $150 to upgrade to 2GB of RAM (by far the biggest thing in performance.) But if you can afford it, the 2.0Ghz model with both the DVD burner and 20GB extra HD space will come in handy (but the extra RAM should be your priority.)

  • New K9A2 platinum board arrived today, some questions before I start..[update]

    Hello all,
I got it for the upgradeability from AM2 to AM2+ since I don't have the cash to buy all new components now. I'll get a phenom and new memory in a few weeks.
    For now I have an AMD64 X2 5600+ and a pair of corsair ddr2 800 XMS 1GB sticks (2GB total).
Are there any memory gotchas I need to know about before starting, or a particular bios version I should use?
I'd like to not fry anything when I power it up, or end up needing to reinstall old mobo to get to internet and find help.
Should default options pass POST with this setup?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty down with reinstalling my OS's (gentoo and winxp) and have done this a bit when upgrading motherboards (been through 2 in the last few years).
Edit: actually a recompile with Gentoo or repair with windows. I haven't needed to do a full reinstall. Figured I should be a little more concise.
I just want to make sure there's no gotchas specific to MSI K9A2 platinum I should know about which are game breaking unless you tweak some BIOS settings before first POST with older components like the cpu and memory I have.
PSU is single rail 750W SLi certified, case is antec 900.

DDR1066 isn't much faster then DDR800, however, the Phenom only supports 2 sticks of them, with more the speed drops to DDR800 anyway.
This is a CPU matter, not board or chipset releated, as the memory controller is INSIDE the CPU.
Awesome info man. thx... I knew the AMD64/Opterons have had IMC for a while but didn't know about this limitation with 1066.

  • Some questions before purchasing a Time Machine

I'm thinking about buying a Time Machine as opposed to buying an NAS Hard Drive and continuing with my wireless router (no problems with router, but the less devices the better).
Currently I have a two year old 320gb USB hard drive on which I keep my iTunes library and my rather large iPhoto library. The music and photographs are the only things of real value on my computer and I store them externally as I feel the MBP runs better with less data on the hard drive.
I have a number of questions which will influence what I do:
    1) If I connect the current hard drive to the Time Capsule, will time machine back it up?
    2) Could I use the Time Capsule as a regular wireless hard drive, and use the external hard drive (connected to the TC) as my time machine device? If this was the case, could the hard drive be used to back up the TC to which it is attached?
    3) Does 300gb in original files = 300gb on the TC or is there some form of compression?

"1) If I connect the current hard drive to the Time Capsule, will time machine back it up?"
No, the drive needs to be connected to your MAC.
"2) Could I use the Time Capsule as a regular wireless hard drive, and use the external hard drive (connected to the TC) as my time machine device? "
yes, but, it needs to be formated correctly, which I think is the Mac extended journaled format. For example, fat32 would not work. you would use the airport utility to enable a share, which can be vewied by the mac clients using time machine preferences, and you would select the additional share instead of the default one.
"If this was the case, could the hard drive be used to back up the TC to which it is attached?"
The TC can use external drives as a place to archive backups on the internal drive. But a 320 gb drive would not be best for this. Drive prices are drpping, if you want this feature, I would buy a new drive and use that.

  • Some questions before i buy a nano

1.What is the ACCUAL storage i get with the 8gb nano? If you cant answer this, then what is the maximum available storage you get compared to what its acclaimed?[On my 20GB Zen as it is, i only get 19.05GB of storage...]
2.I have some music from Napster which is DRM protected-can iPod nano play these files [i saw on another topic but it was un-answered]
    3. are all the ipod connections the same? ie: Car integration kits work for all types of ipods?
    4. is it worth the space cramp to get something this small? [i am thinking about getting this instead ofthe ipod video- i have 7.12GB of music]

    As for question # 3:
    3. Although I don't own any car connection cords, etc. for an iPod and have never used one, it seems to me that a lot of car kits for iPods are compaitlb efor many different models.
For example, with a car charger, a lot of ones I've looked at in Apple's online Store are compatble for any model of newer types of iPods: 4th generation, 5th generation (Late 2006) 5th generation, iPod with color display, iPod nano, iPod nano (Second Generation).
I assume that there are either multiple fitted adaptors for each type of iPod, or it is simply a connector cord that fits a lot of different iPod models.
For example, if you search for "ipod car" in Apple's Store, look at the details on a few of the items in those search results that have to do with the iPod/car connection, and you'll see that it's usually compatible with several iPod types.
    I hope that helps.

  • Questions before I install Arch64...

I have read up on what programs work in 64-bit and what doesn't, etc. I plan on doing a chroot solution for 32-bit apps I want. These are the programs:
    Wine
    Zsnes
    PSX
...there was another one, but I just lost my train of thought...
    [EDIT] OpenOffice! [/EDIT]
Anyway, these will work fine in a 32-bit chroot? I've never 'chroot'ed before.
What about hardware? I heard some wireless cards and nvidia cards have trouble.
    I have:
    nVidia GeForce 8300GS 128MB
    TP-Link TL-WN651G 32-bit PCI wireless adapter w/ atheros AR5212 chipset
Does anyone know if these are supported? What about the 32-bit PCI? Is that problematic? (I don't know too much about 32-bit vs. 64-bit)

Everything will work with a little care without a chroot environment. That's where all the lib32 stuff from community, or the bin32 stuff from AUR, come in. I have Skype, Flash, and Lightscribe working on this box without chroot. My current 32 bit bit setup is this:

  • Questions before I install Arch

Hi everyone. I decide to try Arch after using Ubuntu for almost a year. After reading the installing guide, I find the wireless network is the big problem. I am using wireless, and I can easily get connected with it by wicd. But installing Arch needs a wireless under command line, so I try that in terminal:
    # ifconfig wlan0 up
    # iwlist wlan0 scan       ( and I see my target wireless network is there)
    # iwconfig wlan0 essid "My_Network" key 0123456789
    # dhclient wlan0
But it did not work. What I was sure was I managed to connect to this network with this key in Ubuntu Network Manager, or wicd, if using GUI. I later searched for this problem and it seemed that iwconfig recognized the key as hex by default. If using ascii, it should be:
    # iwconfig wlan0 essid "My_Network" key s:0123456789
But even that I failed too. So I am just wondering how to get a hex key out of it? Is there any algorithm for this...?
I have downloaded the core version of Arch. But I am wondering if I need the internet by installing X windows and fluxbox, using pacman... If not, I can go directly with it and grab a GUI network manage like wicd and I will have no problems.
    Thank you very much.

Does it post the same error? Try messing about with the different combinations of quotation marks taking them off both the key and network name, and then try with them on both the key and the network name.
    iwconfig wlan0 essid "My_Network" key "0123456789"
    iwconfig wlan0 essid My_Network key 0123456789

  • Apple Airport newbie with some questions before purchasing - please help...

    Hello all,
Please excuse my ignorance but despite looking through the relevant online manual I wish to check a couple of things before I purchase the Aiport Express (and then possibly regret it).
I have a Windows XP laptop which connects to the internet through a wi-fi connection (access to the physical router is not available me) and I want to be able to play iTunes on my laptop through my hi-fi (wirelessly).
Am I correct in thinking the Aiport Express will do this for me? If so is any extra equipment besides the necessary hi-fi to Airport express cable required?
The Airport Express doesn't need to physically connect to the router does it? Or it doesn't need to become the router providing the wi-fi does it?
How does 'AirTunes' factor into the setup and what is better about e.g. Aiport Extreme and why would you ever need an Airport card?
I have no desire for using the Airport equipment as a router or home hub for printing etc. but just streaming iTunes to my hi-fi.
Any help/clarification would be most appreciated. Many thanks in advance,
    Daniel

djsuk43, Welcome to the discussion area!
Am I correct in thinking the Aiport Express will do this for me?
    Yes
The Airport Express doesn't need to physically connect to the router does it? Or it doesn't need to become the router providing the wi-fi does it?
    No and no.
How does 'AirTunes' factor into the setup...
It is simply the term Apple uses for streaming music via iTunes through the AirPort Express (AX).
...what is better about e.g. Aiport Extreme...
The AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) does not have an audio out port therefore you can't use it to stream music.
The AEBS however does support Ethernet clients, multiple USB printer and multiple USB hard drives.
...and why would you ever need an Airport card?
If you have an older Mac without built-in wireless you would add the appropriate AirPort card to give it wireless ability.

  • Clean installing Lion- have some questions.

I'm gonna clean install Lion on my macbook pro and have some questions regarding the same...
should I update to 10.7.2 and then clean install or will i have to update again anyway after a clean install?
is it true that downloading mac app store apps again from the app's page reincurrs the charges?
any best/worst practices i should consider while reinstalling Lion? I'm gonna perform a clean install.
most important... how do i initiate a clean install?!
Thanks for your time, in advance.
    Neerav

Thank you, that definitely suggests that it isn't actually doing anything useful!
I switched it off, cleared the PRAM and re-formatted the drive unencrypted (I found the option, it was in the dropdown for filesystem).
That appears to have been the issue, as the download and install immediately identified the disc name, which it wasn't doing before. Guess it was having an issue with my encrypted drive. I guess it's handy I'm not a secret agent or an political dissident I shall run unencrypted...

  • Just installed Arch again on my laptop, have some questions

    Hi there.
After a few months of being linux-less, i decided to install it again (I corrupted my partition last time and have been too lazy to fix it =P). I'm also currently using KDEmod, which is great.
    However, I have some questions.
    1) It doesn't seem that the sound settings are being saved when I log out of KDE. It's always at 100%, and I always have to turn it down.
    2) I have this little cell-phone looking icon in the systray, and when i mouse over it it tell me:
    Network Management is changing!
it is highly unstable and will crash your desktop. Until further notice, please use KDE 4 knetworkmanager instead
Well, I looked an I've already got knetworkmanager installed:
    yaourt -Ss knetworkmanager
    kdemod-core/kdemod-networkmanagement-knetworkmanager-kde4 1030904-1 [installed] (kdemod kdemod-complete kdemod-networkmanagement kdemod-uninstall)
    KNetworkManager for KDE4
    kdemod-core/kdemod-networkmanagement-knetworkmanager-kde4-debug 1030904-1 (kdemod-debug kdemod-networkmanagement-debug kdemod-uninstall)
    KNetworkManager for KDE4 (Debugging Symbols)
    aur/knetworkmanager 0.2.2-4 (71)
    A NetworkManager front-end for kde3 and kde4, based in version 0.2.2 stable
    aur/knetworkmanager-unstable 737532-1 (Out of Date) (6)
    A NetworkManager front-end for KDE
I remember when i had Arch before that I used ArchAssistant to manage my wired/wireless connections. Is that still around? Can anyone recommend anything else, cause I also remember getting ArchAssistant to work was a hell of a project.
    3) When I first logged in, the Akonadi Server Self-report popped up. I rememebr this from before, and could never get it to work (I really don't even know what Akonadi is, tbh). It says that the control and server process is not register to D-Bus. How can I fix this? Would I have to start and configure the MySQL daemon?
    Thanks for any help!

For the first one, set the volume to your desired startup level, open a terminal window and run "sudo aslactl store"
Then in your startup daemons add @alsa. That will restore your volume settings on boot, not sure about just logging in and out of KDE though. (I don't run KDE)

  • I'm going to install Arch this weekend but I have some questions

Currently I use Linux Mint on my primary PC, but I've installed Arch on my older PC at my parents house.  I like it a lot and I think I want a distro that is rolling release and also that I build myself (as opposed to installing all of the bloat on Mint).  However, I do have some questions; Linux is pretty new to me (been using it since about November) so I don't know exactly how everything works.
    1)  How do I know what packages I have to have installed for building C/C++ programs?  I know in Ubuntu install gcc/g++ by itself doesn't get the job done, you need build-essential to get all of the libraries.  Also, what packages do I need for OpenGL and SDL?  I'm a CS major and I'm in an OpenGL class so I need to be able to compile OpenGL programs; SDL is for my own purposes, but I'd still like to have it.
    2)  I use Amarok to transfer songs to my iPod.  Amarok 1.48 and libgpod 0.6.0 are in the repos and I know both of those are compatible with my 6th gen.  However, I do have a question about transferring album art.  On Mint, Amarok transfers the album art as I transfer the album, but someone told me that Amarok doesn't do that by default; there must have been a setting changed somewhere to do that.  I looked through Amarok's options and didn't see anything like that... anyone know if I can do that in Arch, and how?  There's no real information about Amarok in the wiki.
    3)  I'm going to use Gnome environment but some KDE apps (like Amarok).  Will there be any problems with that that I should know about in advance?
I'll probably have some more questions once I actually install Arch, but that will do for now   Those are the important ones.

    1) You know by seeing its dependencies on pacman or by the developer documentation. Unlike other distros, you don't need to install dev packages. Example: You have gcc and all the basic gnu tools installed, and you want to compile a program that is not in a arch linux package yet (if theres a package, you can build it using abs / makepkg and pacman will handle the dependencies) and requires, for example, a library called "xyz", you only need to download "xyz" from pacman, and all the dev stuff will come together (like header and etc).
    I hope it helps.

  • Looking for some info before deciding to install

Normally, I would try to some searching before posting, but I've been pressed for time lately. Anyways, I'm looking for some info about Solaris before deciding to dive into installing it.
    1) Can it be installed on what's a currently triple-booting system without problems? In this case, Solaris would be installed onto half of the slave HD.
    2) How difficult and lengthy is the installation process?
    3) Does Solaris come with it's own unique bootloader? Can it recognize other operating systems? Is it possible to not install that bootloader and simply edit the configs for a preexisting GRUB to allow it to boot Solaris?

The only way to get content into the Music app is via iTunes store downloads or syncing with itunes on a computer. You will need to find a third party media player such as VLC (whick integrates with DropBox and GoogleDrive, if that appeals to you).

  • Some questions with install paths and reporting

I have some questions that i would like to ask
The first is regarding the installation path of the silverlight client when it is published,  where is it located, is there a way to customize your application so that the user can specify an install directory , or a way to update the web.config with
    the install directory....
Second question is , in development I am able to create a report, with report viewer using the localhost address of the silverlight client  server side. but when i publish it, the address is no longer found. Is there another way I can go about doing
a report of the data in my sliverlight client application ? if so can i get some suggestions , I do know about some of the 3rd party extensions but none of them that I know of are free and I do not have the means right now to get them....
this is all for a 2- tier Desktop silverlight client application.
    any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    David.

I wanted to know if i can TELL lightswitch application to install when im running it after it being publised . or where it is installed to after first run of the application.....
as far as Reporting goes and as far as I know DEVEXPRESS no longer supports lightswitch so there is no way for me to get ahold of the xtra reports extension ... please update your knowledge base and offer another solution..
    HI David,
    Thanks for your response.
From your description above, I think this issue is related to your deployment procedure, you can also customize your deployment path. For this issue, I'd like to suggest you to check it again, you can refer to this article. See:
    Deploy a Two-tier LightSwitch Application
If you want to use report extension in lightswitch application, you can learn relevant topics about report extension in Lightswitch forum.
    Hope it helps you.Best regards,
    Angie

  • Some quick questions before purchase of MBP

    Hey Guys/Gals,
I've been a PC user all my life, but will now be making a permanent switch to Macs. I've been wanting to buy a MBP since they have been released, but have been hesitant (like many others I think...) about the issues of whine, extreme heat, warped screens etc...
With the recent updates of the logic board and even battery, I think I'm ready to go for it. I just had some quick questions before I place my order:
    1. I could order my MBP from the computer store at my university. Do you guys think that will get me the newest possible MBP or will they maybe get me one that they have had in stock for ages? I really don't want to get stuck with an outdated logic board and/or battery. Is it safest just to order directly from the site?
    2. Although the issue with really hot MBPs seems to have gotten better, I am still quite shocked that people say that temperatures well above 70 Celsius are "within spec". I understand that Apple officially states this and that the Intel chip can handle up to 100 Celsius, but this seems crazy to me Basically, I want to ask if I am correct in my observations that the new Intel chips don't get much hotter than other chips around, but rather Apple has chosen to set the temperature mark that sets off the fans pretty hight (around the 70s if I remember correctly?)
I would assume that in following their "mission" of creating beautifully designed computers, Apple also wants to have a really silent one. Now I'm all for a quiet machine, but I feel as though if fans were on either (a) all the time or (b) when the CPU reaches the high 50s lots of people would be happier.
Anyway, it's just a thought. I noticed there are lots of experts around here, so I'm just interested to hear what you guys think about this approach that Apple seems to have taken. I don't think the heat will stop me from getting this amazing notebook, but it certainly is a little frustrating.
    Any responses are greatly appreciated.

No matter where you take possession there's no assurance of when the machine was manufactured. There is really just as good a chance of getting a perfectly good computer regardless of place of purchase. If there is a problem it's covered under warranty. You can have the computer replaced within the first two weeks. Afterwards they will replace or repair. Without Applecare's extended warranty the computer is warranted for one year after purchase.

You are wrong in your assumption. The Core Duo's maximum temperature is 125C before shutdown. Normal operating temperatures according to Intel's own documentation is 50-70C under average load. MBPs under heavy load will typically reach core temperatures over 80C. Then there's the added heat from the hard drive and GPU. The aluminum case acts as a partial heat radiator hence the case temperatures can get high. The MBP User Guide specifically states this and issues a warning about using the computer on one's lap.

In fact the fans in the MBP are very quiet at least mine are. Unless you are in the hardware design business with intimate knowledge of using Core Duo chips in portable computers, then your observations, although certainly your opinion, are not based on anything factual.

More likely there are a lot of people around here who think they are experts. As the remark goes, "An 'expert' derives from ex, meaning 'has been', and spert, meaning 'drip under pressure.'"
You'll read lots of opinions on these forums. Don't take for granted that everything you read is factual or truth. A lot of the opinions expressed are without any basis in fact.
