Some SD popular TV shows now come in 5.1 surround sound!

I just realised that some Standard Definition (SD) popular TV shows like Prison Break and Heroes now come with 5.1 surround sound. Thanks to my sound equipment. Usually, I will see sound indicator displaying PCM. Was doing a preview of the two above mentioned shows and I noticed that the sound indicator switched to *Dolby Digital*. Went to my Mac and open the files with QuickTime and there a surround sound track in addition to the usual stereo track. Thought 5.1 surround sound was only for HD TV Shows. Cool!

Yes I agree, no matter how much fiddling in ITunes, Quicktime Pro, Audio MIDI Setup and Sound in Preferences, I cannot get the 5.1 sound directed to my sound system in the same way the DVD Player software that comes with Leopard does it.
Surely if it's an AC3 licensing issue, they've already licensed it for DVD Player, so iTunes on Mac should just work (like most Apple stuff does). Apple have had several years to fix this one, I can only assume it's marked as "Won't fix" for some unknown reason. I'm living in hope that they get it sorted for Snow Leopard (QuickTime X etc).

Thanks for your response, I forgot to add that the five 3uk sims we have in use, I have tried all of them none of them are recongnised non of them have pin codes, I even purchased four more sims Tmobile (original carrier) Vodaphone, 3 and giffgaff.

Some video clips only show as white

I have recently installed SpeedGrade on a new workstation and I am having issues with some video content only showing as pure white. I have DNxHD 175 1080p/23.976 footage recorded on an Atomos Ninja blade and h.264 1080p/23.976 24Mbps footage recorded on a Nikon D610. On my MacBook both will show in Speed Grade, on my workstation only the D610 footage in h.264 will show. The Ninja footage in DNxHD just shows as a solid white block. Understandably I want to grade the Ninja footage
I am running Speed Grade 8.2x51 on Windows 8.1 with the following machine spec:
Intel Xeon E5-2680 v3 2.5Ghz with 12 cores
128GB DDR 4 RAM
Nvidia Quadro K6000

Yea, first project I tried to experiment with DNxHD I'd downloaded a clip, and the flipping thing didn't play right. Had a few questions here & elsewhere ... then after several posts about this or that potential problem, someone asked ... "so, like, dude, you DID install the codec before trying this, right?"
My ... um ... oopsies ... no ... hadn't even thought about whether it was a "built-in" codec or not, and everyone trying to help assumed I'd known enough to do that step. So, yes, I learned about this the wonderful hard-knocks way. And now I'm a much more enlightened person who keeps finding new and wonderfully more silly ways to dig a hole to stumble into.
For so many things, direct mode is a slicker way of working. Use it when you can, which is mostly. SpeedGrade has some occasional problems if say you try & key-frame a mask for grading, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. You need to remember that in Direct Mode Sg is NOT allowed to "play" with the PrPro-created timeline itself, you can't add to it or delete things from it. Including you can't add a grading layer above the timeline tracks in Sg, as you would in "native" mode. So ... if you need one and didn't think about it whilst in PrPro, you just save & return to PrPro, add a "new item->adjustment layer" over as many clips as needed, or as many as you want ... then go back to Sg & use those for grading layers. That sort of thing.
It's pretty darn slick in all.

Some songs don't show up on iPod, but they are there

I have an 80GB iPod classic. I have all my songs in iTunes, and I have manually synced them to my iPod. When I view my iPod through iTunes, I can see all the songs and play them. However, when I look on my iPod directly, some songs don't show up when I browse by Artist, Song, etc.
The only way to play them on my iPod is to add them to a Playlist, and then they are accessible. However, if I want to listen to Eminem, for instance, I want to just browse to it in the Artist area.
The songs do have all of the appropriate info, and I have tried Restore and still nothing. These songs used to show up on my old, original iPod, so I am for a complete loss. Please help!

If the iPhoto Library is still 130 GB large, your photos are probably still inside; perhaps the library has a corruption.
Or the iPhoto Library is on drive, that is incompatible with iPhoto. Where is your iPhoto Library stored?
To check for a library corruption: Ctrl-click or right-click the iPhoto library and select "Show Package Contents". This will show the folders inside the library package.
Are there folders called "Masters" or "Old Masters"?
If there is a folder "Old Masters", you are having a problem with recent bug, that corrupts iPhoto Libraries when upgrading. In that case, it would be best to restore your iPhoto Library from a backup you made before you upgraded to Yosemite.
Or, if no backup is available, copy the "old Masters" folder to a folder on your Desktop and create a new iPhoto library and import the Old Masters folder.
If there is no folder "old Masters" try to rebuild your iPhoto Library with the First Aid tools :
Make a backup copy of your iPhoto Library, but don't overwrite any older backups.
To launch the "First Aid Tools" hold down the options-command keys ⌥⌘ while double clicking your iPhoto Library.
Keep the keys held down firmly until the First Aid panel appears.
Select "Rebuild Database".

If you are using cable and a Nethear router sounds like from the information you provide before your Airport setting are setup improperly. PPoE is not something a cable service would need to work. Fallow the steps I will provide bellow, I will add some screen shots also to assist if necessary.
1 - Open System Preferences from  (Menu)
2 - Click "Network"
3 - From the Network window you are going to wanna make sure Location is : Automatic and Show is : Airport
4 - Once the Show: Airport is select you should see a window like this, my window is selected for Ethernet simply because I am no longer running Tiger but the window will look the same.
5 - You will want to click on the PPPoE tab and you should see this
6 - You're gonna wanna make sure " connection using PPPoE " is not select, if it is make sure to uncheck this option
7 - Once this is uncheck make sure to click "Apply Now"
8 - You will want to click back on to the "TCP/IP" tab and make sure IPv4 is set to " Using DHCP "
9 - If the option to " Apply Now" is available again please click this
10 - Once this is done go to your Aiport Menu and see if your network is listed and select your network and eneter the password if necessary.
11 - If after these steps you still have issues I would recommend Power Cylcing your Router and Modem for about 5 minutes
12 - Make sure all lights are off when unplugging the Router and the Modem
13 - Some Modems have backup batterys so you may have to push in a tiny button on the back with a pin

When Report Ran Chart Use To Show, Now It Does Not

This report use to show the charts. Now it doesn't. Can someone explain where I can look to debug or explain why this is all of a sudden happening?

According to your description that the report which have been deployed to report server before use to show the charts in it, now it doesn't, the charts not showing now, right?
I have tested on my local environment and can’t reproduce your issue, first you can stop and restart the report server(In the Reporting Services configuration Manager) to reopen your report manager to run the report again
If the issue still exists, Could you provided the version of your SQL Server Reporting Service and the version of the IE ?
Generally the issue can be caused by the browser not supported or the installation of the SQL Server Reporting Server: Planning for Reporting Services and Power View Browser Support (Reporting Services 2014). So you can change the IE version to an older
version to see if the issue still exists.
If the version is 2012, you can do an update to it, remember to restart the report server instance after that:

Some commited figure is showing in Item master data

Hi,
why some commited figure is showing in Item master data in Inventory TAB . Its showing only Raw materials and Finish Goods items.
Others inventory items are okay.

Adobe Reader Control not showing in COM tab of Toolbox Items in Visual Studio

This is my first experience to work on C# and Visual Studio. I have a task to show PDF document on a window form. After reading tutorials and following some examples I have decided to add the 'Adobe Reader Control' in my toolbox and use that control on my form. The problem is that I cannot able to add that control on my toolbox because "it is not showing in COM tab of toolbox items. To clarify just see the red lined component in image that is NOT showing on my component list".
I have Adobe Reader 11 installed on my machine.
I am using Visual Studio 2005.
I am using Windows 7 64-bit OS.
In my project I have changed the architecture from 'Any CPU' to 'x86'
Any ideas what can be the issue, why it is not coming on the list?
This is my first post on this forum. Do point me out if i miss any forum guidelines.

Does registering unlock something?
