Some sites I can't drag and drop to the bookmark toolbar.

My bank recently changed their login page so I had to update my bookmark for them.
For some reason, when I drag the site icon onto the bookmark toolbar it doesn't add the site but instead puts a line with an arrow pointing down on top of it (almost looks like a Microsoft word editing markup).
Some sites work fine, for instance I was able to drag cnn.com to my bookmark toolbar and it worked as expected.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance

Look in the Applications folder to see if iPhoto is still there. If it is drag it back to the Finder Sidebar. If it is no longer in the Applications folder post back, you can also look in the Trash it might still be there.

It seems like this ought to be fairly straight forward. This
code is taken from the Flex 2 Component Explorer and I've just
added a few Drag and Drop parameters to the list. It doesn't quite
work. The items are duplicated, not selected, selectable. The
behavior is a bit erratic.
It seems very natural to want to be able to re-order a list
using drag and drop so it seems like it should be easy. Obviously,
I could create a second, empty list--but that would take up
valuable screen real estate. I've seen a few posts about this and
none of them were answered so either the solution is obvious
(please share) or it's impossible (please share).

The answer is, yes you can. However, I'm not sure why this
makes a difference.

I can't drag and drop tabs or bookmarks in Firefox. I do not have Torbutton either.

I know some people were having issues with certain add-ons like torbutton. I actually don't have any add-ons installed for Firefox. I have tried resetting Firefox, restarting it in safe mode, disabling all of my plugins, and reinstalling it all together. Nothing has worked. I am using Windows 8 consumer preview, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I only recently started having this problem, and I haven't done anything to modify or change Firefox recently.

What exactly did you install? Adobe Send is an online service https://new.acrobat.com/en_us/products/adobesend.html not an installed app.

I just made a new playlist and for some reason I can't drag and drop the songs around to change the order. I have two other playlists and I can drag and drop the songs in those playlists just fine. How can I fix this?

i have my mp3 rocket account linked to my itunes account and some songs get put onto my phone, but some dont. i can't drag and drop and if i try to rename it with correct characters, nothing happens. the mp3 rocket folder is in music under shared libraries and they look like albums with a musical note in the middle. i tried unchecking and checking them again but nothing happens. i've restarted my computer. and i added those songs to "what's new" but i still cant add them to my phone...

File can not be moved by drag and drop in the finder when not open Finder windows

With the operating system OSX Snow Leopard, it was possible, for example, a file from the desktop to pull drag and drop on the Finder icon, the page opened after a short and you could put the file in a folder.
At this stage I must first open the Finder to drag a file into the destination folder.
Is it a setting or is there anything wrong with my Mountain Lion properly?
It is often the case that several windows of other applications are open or in Fullscreen are, then I would, as I also already knew and am accustomed, for example a file regardless of the location from which drag drag and drop in the Finder without leaving the / program / site to open the Finder, before returning to the file then select I wanted to move.
Note: For all other programs it works.
Finder not only in where it makes the most sense.

I can't drag and drop user backdrops into Photo Booth. Help!

Hi there...just this past Monday I bought my first Macbook Pro, and I'm having a little trouble with Photo Booth. I know it's supposed to be easy to drag and drop into the User Backdrop 1, etc, but for some reason I've tried different files and they will not add into the boxes.
So far I've tried adding shots from safari, both by dragging and by saving the image to my desktop. I've also tried to add photos from my iPhoto but to no avail.
If someone can give me some help I'd really appreciate it. I've been searching online for the better part of an hour and it doesn't seem like this is a common problem.

Ok so I figured it out!
It was really quite a simple fix, and I feel ashamed that I couldn't come to this conclusion earlier.
Anyway, for anyone else having this issue, it was because I had Photo Booth in full screen mode. As soon as I got out of that, I was able to add pictures to my user backdrops without a problem.
Super simple.
I hope it helps someone out there.

I can't drag and drop from a data CD I recorded

I recently burned some audiobooks files (in mp3 format) as data cd's in Toast 8.0.1. When I go to reload them back onto my 20" 2 Ghz Dual Core Intel I can't drag and drop the files directly into any folder while using the columns view in a finder window. I can do it if I drag onto the music folder and let it spring open down to the level of the folder. I also can drag the mp3's into iTunes and then into the folder. This is not CD related since I used several diff brands.
I constantly update, backup, repair permissions, and do other maintenance so everything is up to date. I have noticed this behavior just since I started to use the program called Audiobook Builder. I am (and have always used) a non-admin user account. When this started a few months ago it seemed to go away with a restart, permission repair, or a logout but now it seems permanant. I checked user permissions on my home folder - I have not added any software since adding Audiobook Builder. Any idea's? I read something about trashing a com.apple pref but didn't try that.
I suspect Audiobook Builder since it changes the permissions and filetype to the iTunes Audiobook filetype but have not seen anyone reference this.

I agree, I can't see much reason for drag-and-drop to drag the unprocessed image - in other words, an image that isn't the one that you see when you drag and drop. But if you do want to drag-and-drop the original unprocessed image, you can do it very easily now. Right click the image, choose "show in Explorer", and then drag-and-drop from Explorer.

Can't drag and drop music to iphone5

I updated to the latest Itunes, plugged my new Iphone5 in and "restore from previous Iphone back up" It did it fine, then i went to manage music manually and checked the boxes for all the artists I wanted on my new phone. Sync it to my phone and all seemed ok. Prior to this I downloaded 250 songs off the cloud so I had some music while I updated my computer so I could run Itunes for Iphone5. When I sync everything it doubled up the 250 songs that were on there. then some worked and some just skipped over and went to the next song. I want to delete the doubles off my phone and re-enstall the music which i can't do from Itunes and when i do it from my phone its gone on the phone but still on the "on this phone" in itunes. I can't drag and drop any music onto my phone and when i go to "music" on my phone from itunes it says i have to erase all content and sync with this computer. this is the only computer and only account it has ever seen.

Tried that, I can get almost all my music except one album (the album I want). I deleted it off my phone by swiping then hitting delete. It does not show up on my phone but it does say that it is on my phone when i plug into itunes. I can't drag and drop it, I checked the box for that album and it didn't transfer. No idea what to do. How can I even just use Itunes to delete music off my phone? Used to be able to highlight and then right click and then delete, not anymore.

I'm liking Leopard so far I guess, but I can't drag and drop anything on the Desktop or from Finder windows. Am I missing something?

Had the same problem. Reinstalled the software - all is well. Cured many ills with the initial installation - don't bother trying to play with permissions, etc. Just reinstall.
Thank goodness this isn't Micro$oft or you'd have to sit in front of the computer to keep answering the "Okay to reboot" questions every time a chunk of code is installed.

What's going on with iTunes (10.4 (80))?
I can't drag and drop my songs, re-order my playlists or anything?? I can import a song into a playlist, but it just appears as the last item in the list, I can't place it where I want.
I've checked other complaints here, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer: is this a bug? Is it going to be fixed soon? If not, can I downgrade to a previous version?

I am having a similar problem. For some time I have had sudden loss of drag and drop so that I cannot even move a song around in a playlist, much less to another list. The only thing that stops the is a full system reboot. I have been waiting for a fix however version 10 is much worse. I am having this fail almost every day. I am running an internet radio show from my computer and use iTunes to set up playlists. When I have this problem happen, I have to kick my listeners off and reboot. This is NOT an acceptable situation. I am running iTunes 10.01 on a 2.8 GHz Core i7 iMac with 8 GB of onboard memory. This problem has been happening since at least version 9, however.
Somebody at Apple please fix this! Or tell me a workaround that does not involve me closing all other programs There is no excuse for this problem continuing.

Can't drag and drop attachments into mail fullscreen

Have a weird issue. In lion I could drag and drog into a new mail message by dragging the attachment to the hot corner then to the fullscreen mail app then onto the new mail message.
Now for some reason in Mt. Lion it will no longer do this.
I can do it when mail is not in full screen mode or if I create a new mail message in another desktop.
Any suggestions?
And no I do not have air display on this computer (did do a search before posting)

When this happens can you drag and drop regular files and icons etc?
I did a clean install, setup several user accounts last night. Dragging and dropping was working in my main user account last night. This morning (computer on all night) I could not drag and drop anything in that particular user account including mail attachements. Other accounts worked fine. Thought it was a permissions issue but they were fine.
Ended up trashing the user account and resetting it up and everything back to normal.

Some sites I can't drag and drop to the bookmark toolbar.
