Some software does not recognize me as administrator since updating to Lion.  Any ideas?

I installed Lion today, and it seems fine except for one problem.  I cannot install games from BigFishGames.com because it says I don't have administrator privileges.
I checked my system preferences, and I am listed as the administrator, but the box that says "Allow user to administer this computer" is checked and greyed out.  I can't alter it in any way.  Other than a guest profile that hasn't been used in months, I am the only profile on the account.
Any ideas?

    In Austria, iphone and ipad "see" and connect to wifi signal no problem but mac pro in same room will not even allow me to choose the same wifi signal.  It seems almost blocked.  Havectried everything it seems by restarting, deleting preferred accoints, etc.  software is updated but running osx 10.6.8

    Try the basics first:
       Change your router channel number.  Most times this works & is all you have to do.
    Disconnect & reconnect your modem.  unplug it for about 10 seconds.  Plug it back in.  Do the same for Apple’s routers.  Wait for everything to reboot.
    System Preferences>Network
    Click the Assist Me button.
    In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

    My problem is that when I plug my phone into my desktop computer by USB it will charge, but when I go to do anything to by means of BlackBerry Desktop Software the program does not recognize that my device is plugged in. This has been going on for months now that it will not sync, I just haven't desperately needed to sync my phone until now. I have tried pulling the battery and pulling the sim card. I have also tried other USB cords.

    I have Canon Wireless Inkjet Photo All-In-One printer (MG5520).  I have installed Canon complete software.  But the quick menu does not recognize my scanner.  In Preferences only Printer is listed, but for Scanner nothing is available.  Could you please suggest how to get scanner as well for my device?

    Reinstalling the drivers for the printer from the Canon USA website should provide the scanning option on the Quick Menu. Please click here to go to the Drivers and Software page for the PIXMA MG5520.  Once on the initial download page for your model, please do the following:
    1. Verify that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop-down menu is correct, and if it is not, please click the drop-down menu to select your operating system.
    2. Next, please click on the red arrow next to the "RECOMMENDED DOWNLOADS" section and click the FULL DRIVER AND SOFTWARE PACKAGE file. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click on the checkbox below the DOWNLOAD button, then click the red DOWNLOAD button to begin the download. The time for the download process may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.
    Once the file has been downloaded, please double-click on it to reinstall the drivers and software on your computer, then restart your computer.  If you still have difficulty with the Quick Menu showing items related to scanning, please call or email us using one of the methods on the Contact Us page for further assistance.

    This all started this morning when i tried to load a HP driver and the install program did not recognize me as the administrator. I am the only one using this and no one has access so i never put in a password. Having this problem I thought I would add a password and it still did not allow me to load the software. Tonight I downloaded an iTunes update and the updater said i do not have permission, I have done this before and it worked fine. I am on a G4 500mgz over a gig of ram and never had this problem. What do you think is the problem and how do i fix it?

    Try Repair Permissions using Disk Utility, which can be found in Application/Utilities.

    My PC is running Windows Vista Home Premium. Blackberry is a Curve 8900 running OS 5.0.0.900. Desktop Software is v. 6.0.2.44 bundle 45. I recently wiped my PC and reinstalled everything, so this is a fresh install of Desktop Software. I use the Windows Vista native calendar, and am unable to get DS to recognize it. When I click on the organizer button (Select Organizer Data to Synchronize), the Calendar entry says "Not Installed". When I click "Configure Settings", I can choose Windows Vista Native Application as an option for the calendar, but on closing that window, the Calendar entry says "Not Installed" again. I know that I can sync my 8900 with the Vista calendar, as I was able to do it in the past. Not sure why it's not working now. Anyone have any ideas?
