Some songs cannot be played due to "lack of computer's authorisation"
Hi,
I've purchased an album from itunes store. But few (only few) songs are unable to be played due to "lack of authorisation of my computer".
When I try to authorise it, I'm said that the computer is already authorised. The songs are still unable to be played. I tried to unauthorised
the computer and authorise it again, without any result. When I try to play these songs by player other than itunes, there's silence. Other
songs from the album play normally. Anyone had something like that? I would be very grateful for help.

Installed Windows 7 from XP. Downloaded itunes and imported the music library.
Now some songs will not play until I authorize this computer by signing in using an old apple id. Now when I do that the message says too many devices on that id.
Is there a way to convert those songs to my current Apple id? Or is there a way to download them again under the new id?Content is permanently tied to the Apple ID that it was acquired with.
If you desire the conent on your current Apple ID, purchase it with the current Apple ID.
For future reference, do not create a new Apple ID simply because of a change of email address. Instead, update the Apple ID with the new email address. -
My iphone 4s is no longer syncing with my computer. Why? My software on the computer IS the latest version. Iphone 4 cannot be updated due to lack of storage
What happens when you try to sync? Do you see any error messages? Which software on the computer are you referring to, iTunes? The latest iTunes is 11.1.3. If you cannot update the phone due to lack of storage, you will need to delete some content from the phone.

some song will not play now on my 4s. it was since i updated software i think, cos it worked fine before that. it just skips songs. please talk me through step by step. i am going crazy. thanx guy's and gals of course
My situation is improving a little. When I returned home I found that my imac went to sleep during the match process (I would think that the process would keep the imac awake, but I recommend people with large libraries disable energy saving features while Match is working). When it completed the process the second time I tried, a LOT of the greyed out tracks returned to my iOS devices. The only ones missing right now are the ones pending upload to the cloud. I have a few tracks that I've purchased and are on my iMac HDD that are greyed out, but that list is down to 10-15 out of 12,000... so I can work on those when Match is done.
I'm surprised that the iOS devices would restrict you from accessing sync'd content while Match is running - i.e. the content is already on the device. However, it's error handling that must not currently exist in the service.
My biggest take away right now is the lack of information Apple provided on this service. I'm using third-party tutorials online instead of a simple "what is Match and how does it work" document from Apple... Documentation is still a must, especially for new and potentially complicated services like this. I.E. tell me that you are going to restrict my access to my own content during this process, and that this process may take 2-3 days (still uploading). -
BlackBerry Z10 Error "The file cannot be played due to an unexpected error (10)"
Hope someone can help this one, I received a voice note through BlackBerry Messenger, after downloading I tried to play it and the following message popped up, "The file cannot be played due to an unexpected error (10)".
I received another file, 3GP format, tried to play it, same error pops up. I headed over to the music and video libraries, I could not see these 2 files. I connect my Z10 to the notebook and checked on my SD Card, I could see the files from were not named correctly e.g. VID 00001-20101226-1206 was named as VID 00001%20101226-1206 with the percentage symbol being the unusual thing I picked up. This was the case for both files.
I then modified/remaned the files replacing the % with a - (dash) symbol. The files were now visible and able to play through the Z10. I think there is a problem with the way BBM files are being saved especially the naming convention might be having an error/bug.
My OS release is 10.0.10.99, Version 10.0.10.738 with Build 455718. Is there a fix for this problem that is known? I checked but saw no posts where it was clearly addressed. Am I the only one experiencing this anomaly?
I have restarted the device but this does not resolve. I have attached a screenshot of the error sequence also showing how the file is named upon saving to my media library.

Z10 Error.png 287 KBHey runyamhere,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
To find the root cause of this issue regarding the media not saving the file properly, we will need to gather logs from the BlackBerry Z10.
I would highly suggest you contact your network service provider and ask to be transferred to BlackBerry so we can get a case number created so we can get the logs.
Cheers.

I downloaded two cd's last night and I am un able to play some songs cause it tells me I am this computer is unauthorized to play some songs,I did what it said about going to store to get authorized and still will not work, not happy at all! I NEED HELP OR MY MONEY BACK NOW!
There seems to be an occasional issue with downloads from the store. They prompt for authorization when they are in fact corrupt/incomplete in some fashion. Try deleting the problem tracks (do not hide from iTunes in the cloud), close iTunes and reopen, go to iTunes Store > Qucklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer. Select a few tracks to download then click the icon that appears at the top-right of the iTunes window.. Untick the box that reads Allow simultaneous downloads. Proceed with the rest of your eligible purchases.
If you still have a problem use the Report a problem links in your account history to contact the iTunes Store support team.

Error: this song cannot be played because the original file cannot be found
I recently purchased a new computer and restored my music to the new computer. Although all of my songs are being displayed in the itunes library only half will play. When I try to play the remaining songs I get a message that says "this song cannot be played because the original file cannot be found". I'm at a loss and need help because all of the songs are in the same folder.
Hi
I've pretty much got exactly the same problem. We've just replaced our old computer with a laptop and I've transferred my iTunes library over but I can't open almost all of my songs as "the original file couldn't be found." I've tried the "locate" prompt but that gives me so many different options, all to no avail. However, I have added a few new CDs since transferring the library to the laptop and they open up without any problems.
Can anyone help? I've got to go through all of this again soon as my daughters both have ipods as well! -
WHen I put music onto my devices I will have some songs that will play, while others will be grey and can not be played....also I find that when I purchase an album from iTunes all songs from the album will not be downloaded...
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
If necessary

One song is not allowed to play on my iMac, I'm prompted to authorize the iMac. SC Info folder removed, still the song cannot be played. Mac OS 10.8.5 !!!
Got it! Look at the information of the song (right click in your itunes library) and if you don't see yourself as a buyer of the song, you have to delete the song and download it from the store again.

i tried to download a movie from itunes store just few minutes ago, it told me "This cannot be played in HD on this computer.
rather insane as I have recently purchased HD films with no issues or concerns at all. I have also updated to the most recent itunes software, yet it still gives me this same error message. and also all movies that i oiwn in HD do work without any problems. I read as much i could but its still giving me this message when i attempt to download. it only gives me the option to get the standard definition version of the film. which is not what I want. Any help on this please? thanks!.After I reformatted my Window 7 machine I'm getting this error too. I deauthorized all my devices and started fresh with my newly reformatted PC thinking that would solve the issue but no go...
Any insight? -
I downloaded album but one song will not play, repeatedly prompts to authorize computer. I did all four suggestions on help site for itunes, Nothing works. I have read several posts, but many have problems with old purchases and new computers. This is a purchase I made today. IPOD error "saving cannot be performed due to lack of space on your device"
I accidentally synched my iPOD touch when I didn't intend to and now when I am trying to save progress inside an App I get the message 'Saving cannot be performed due to a lack of space on your device'. I only have about 150 songs on it and there are NO photos or videos left on the device. I have also deleted any unused Apps but still can't get past this message. Any ideas?
That reference is useful. After resetting my iPod and getting the same result, I finally realized that the problem isn't permissions on the iTunes folder, but on the iPhoto Library. Once I adjusted those, it synced fine. Thanks for your help.

I downloaded the entire Beatles collection from iTunes in 2011. Some songs skip and won't play. Some albums won't sync to the phone but they sync to my iPad. I've deleted the entire music library from my iPhone, shut the phone down, turned the phone on and synced again to add the music but now 2 albums won't even sync (Rubber Soul and Revolver). I've tried dragging the songs to the iPhone, no luck. Any thoughts?
Sounds like you may need to re-download the entire albums from iTunes. See this KB article for how to download past purchases: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.
I'd suggest doing it one album at a time. Delete one, download it from your purchase histor, then the next, etc. -
