Some Songs On iPod Don't Display Artwork Until Center Button is Pressed

Okay, I just got my computer revamped so I had my itunes library file and all the songs saved but I reinstalled iTunes. Now some songs on my ipod are acting weired by displaying all the song info to the left (the firmware calls for them to center when there is no album artwork) and when the center button is pressed twice you see the album artwork as if nothing was wrong. Now no one dare say restore it because that is my backup plan if all else fails. Here are Blured but recognizable pictures of the problem

The only thing that does fix it is removing the artwork, syncing, adding the artwork, and syncing again. Obviously that's a pain because I have to go into "get info", clicking "artwork" and removing it from there one by one because the feature "Clear Downloaded Artwork" seems to not work.

Try selecting the thumbnails (Shift+Click) or (Ctrl+A) to select all, then click on the top menu
Edit à Update Thumbnail For Selected Items
If that doesn’t work close Elements and delete the thumbnail cache by navigating to:
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\MyCatalog
In side the MyCatalog folder (or whatever name you gave your catalog) you should find a CACHE file:
    thumb.5.cache
After deleting that file restart the elements Organizer and wait whilst it regenerates thumbnails.

  • Can't copy some songs onto ipod

Some of my songs won't copy onto my ipod nano for some reason, even though I have the new version and enough space on my ipod, and the files are all fine. I can't figure out why some songs are unable to be imported...(no warning sign, I only find out when I can't find the song I want on my ipod)
The only way I can get the songs onto my ipod is to put them in a playlist and then load the playlist into my ipod. Only then are the songs imported into the ipod.
Does anyone know what the problem is, or how I can make itunes copy ALL my music into my ipod without creating a separate playlist? This only started happening recently, everything worked fine before!
    Thanks!

Same problem. Some of my playlists wont import either. HELP

  • Problem with Apple Lossless, skips some songs! Ipod Video 30 gig

I would love to play my music in higher quality then mp3 so i re ripped my albums to apple lossless (knowing ipod don't play FLAC) but when i try to play a song the ipod often skip the song and go to the next song and when i get it to start playing the first song, it can skip every other other song (from one to three) what's up with that?
    My firmware is 1.2.3

    Hi,
I brought my ipod yesterday and had the exact same issue. it would skip certain songs frequently and was extremely frustrating. Im not sure if this is the case for all ipods (i have an ipod nano 16Gb 4th gen, with firmware 1.0.4), but i fixed my issue in a series of steps. Im not sure which exact part of my method did the job, but here it is:
    1. plugged it into iTunes and clicked "restore" under the tab "summary". WARNING: This will delete everything, and restore factory settings. im not sure if this is necessary, but youll need to delete the songs which skip anyway.
    2. pressed the eject button IN ITUNES (under "devices", and next to your ipod icon), ejecting the ipod. wait for the ipod to specify when it is ready for it to be unplugged. proceed to unplug said ipod.
    3. Choose the language of your ipod, and go into playback settings and (settings/playback or something) and turn OFF "shake" and "energy saver"
    4. Plug your ipod into your computer again and drag all the songs onto your ipod using itunes.
    5. after it has finished copying, WAIT until the ipod no longer says "synching", and until it says "connected"
    6. Press the eject button IN ITUNES (again, under devices, and next to your ipod icon)
    7. Eject when the ipod says it is ok to do so.
As i said, im not sure which part of the method did it for me, but i think it might be the way in which i was ejecting it. Before i was ejecting the ipod on my desktop. I think it is important to eject it using itunes. Anyway this fixed my ipod. Im not sure if it will do the same to yours, but if its making you very angry (to say the least) like it made me, its worth a try i guess. I would appreciate it if people let me know if this works.

  • Question: Problem Syncing some songs in ipod nano 6th gen

    Hi all,
So I've been having some problems syncing songs over to my new Ipod nano 6th gen. Whenever I try to sync, this message pops up:
This happened before with another song, and I just ignored it, and after checking my iPod, it had synced anyways. However, some songs do not seem to do this. I've tried changing the file format from mp3 to wav, finding other copies, deleting it from iTunes and then re-loading it. Nothing seems to work. The songs that won't sync work fine on iTunes, and I can play it from my computer, whether from iTunes or Windows Media Player, but it refuses to go on my ipod. >.< If anyone has encountered this problem and knows how to fix it, help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Did you actually add these songs to your iTunes library and move their physical location or is iTunes referencing them in another location? Sounds like the latter in which case they won't be synced to the Nano.

  • Displaying time until a button is pushed

    Hi everyone
I was just wondering (before I scoured the internet for answers) if there was any possible way to have a timer going until a button is pushed, and then be able to display the time it took the push the button? To clarify, a page would load and the timer would start. The timer would keep going until the user pushed a button, and then somehow display the time it took.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

  • My iPod no longer displays artwork for certain albums

Ok, so here's my problem. Every so often when I alter the artwork on my iPod with iTunes, I have to reset the artwork by clicking the "display album artwork on your iPod" checkbox in my menu, then clicking apply, and repeating the process to redisplay them. If I don't do this, sometimes I wind up with a black box where the artwork would normally be displayed when I peruse my iPod. I know that this is a common problem for some people so hopefully there are some on this site and know what I'm talking about. Anyway, to my current problem, when I attempted to do that last night, it was just about at the end of the progress bar when an error message appeared that said "The iPod 'name' cannot be synched. An unknown error occurred (-50)." So, because it didn't complete the cycle, certain albums no longer display the artwork. It's still there on my iPod when I go into iTunes, but when I go through the actual menus on my iPod such as Cover Flow etc. I instead see that annoying box with the musical note in it. Has anyone come across this problem before? I would very much appreciate a solution

I just tried it again and this time a different message showed up "The iPod 'name' cannot be synced. The required folder cannot be found." I have no clue what folder it could be talking about.

  • Why do some songs on iPod not appear in My Computer?

My iTunes library has most of the songs that are on my 60Gb iPod photo. It has approx. 2600 of the 2900 songs that are on my iPod. It is set to manually update as I don't want to lose the 300 odd songs that are on my iPod.When I open the iPod (E:) in My Computer, only the 2600 songs show though.Basically, there are about 300 songs that are on my iPod that are not picked up in iTunes library or My Computer. How do I get them into iTunes library so that I can finally set my iPod to automatically update? Please help. Thanks

    Troubleshooting songs that skip
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Won't play some songs on ipod but will in itunes

This is concerning an ipod w/color (4th generation I guess)............
All of a sudden, some of the songs won't play on the iPod but they will play when I connect the iPod to itunes and the song list comes up. When I try to play the same song just on the ipod itself it skips down to the next song.
    Any ideas?

i got the same problem, happened with "Now its on" and currently with "My Wife, My *****, My Girl", both by Tech N9NE. i ended up just getting now its on from limewire. i think the song for download might be faulty becuase i even deleted the song from my computer and bought it again, but to no avail. as well, i took the song off my ipod and put it on again, which also didn't work. I suggest just finding it on the internet in some other way

  • Only part of some songs on iPod play?

I have my first iPod it is the Classic 160 GB. I am using WinXP Pro with the latest iTunes version. I have many songs on my iPod and HD. Some of the songs, and it seems random as to which ones, are showing on the iPod as the full song size - ie. 3:05 mins but will only play for as long as 40-42 seconds before going to the next song. The full song - of the ones in question - are in iTunes and they play the full length from the PC. I have Restored already and it is still doing it. Suggestions? Thanks!

For some reason, many of my songs that were encoded with iTunes v6.05.20 Quicktime 7.1.3 were the ones that were skipping. You can find the version by right clicking on the song in iTunes > get info > summary.
Interesting... I've a few tracks that do the skipping thing and had assumed codec problems but hadn't got around to trying to figure out which. In my time I've used iTunes, Windows Media Player, CDex/Lame etc. At least one of my problem tracks has an "Unknown" codec. Odd that one of Apple's own is also implicated.
