Some songs say "Loading Lyrics"  Foever

Hey, I got the newest firmware, and iTunes versions. I have Lyrics to every song in my iTunes library (1325 of em...got real bored one day here in Iraq) Anyways, 95% or so of the lyrics work perfectly when i go to the view them, but the rest will say "Loading Lyrics" with a spinning circle..pretty much foever, or until i change the song. Anybody know what causes this problem?
I've researched the problem for the last hour or so, and 90% of the help out there is for Jailbroken iPods, or for people who dont know how to display it, or get them onto the iPod at all.
I have them all on there, and know how to do it, but some of them just say "Loading Lyrics" and thats it. I have heard a few people say that converting the id3 tags to an older version should fix this, but I am not quite sure how to convert the tags. Any help on this matter would be Awesome.. Thanks

  • Lyrics say "loading lyrics" forever

Almost all my lyrics just say "loading lyrics" on my iphone 3GS right now. What gives?? This is annoying. I don't even get to see the artwork, I just see "loading lyrics" and the lyrics never load. On some songs, they do load instantly, but the majority just hang. So my phone always says this message with a dim screen. ********. Is there a fix? My ID3 tags have been updated to 2.4.

I (hopefully) managed to fix the issue creating a program that overrides the lyrics tag, fixing somehow the error that prevented the iPhone/iPod to show them.
Stay tuned on http://github.com/mariosangiorgio/lyrics to get the software to fix the lyrics (So far it lacks the user interface but the core is working) and to get lyrics for songs that don't have them.

  • I bought an album but some songs say play while others say purchased. Why is that?

I pre ordered an album about a month ago, but has now been released.  Some song say "play" while others say "purchased" the songs that say purchased will not show up on my iTunes library can anyone tell me why that is, or how i can get it to work?

I cannot answer why this happened -- it depends on what you were doing when the download started.  Anyway, you can get all the songs downloaded as shown here.  (Click to expand.)

  • Some songs correctly loaded into iTunes but won't transfer to iPod

Can't figure this one out. I have 40-odd songs in my 2000 iTunes songs that won't transfer to iPod. Error message says the format is not recognized by my iPod, even though the songs appear and play normally in iTunes. Songs are about 7 years old. The file extension on them says ".mp3". However, I notice when I select a problem song and click "info", the information tells me the songs is a MPEG audio file; 6.8 mb size; sample rate 44.1 khz; format MPEG-1, Layer 2; ID3 Tag V1.0; Encoded with "Unknown". How do I properly load or convert these so they will play on my iPod? Do I need to convert them to AAC format, and if I do, what am I giving up? I have about 500 of these old songs in my library, which I haven't yet loaded into my iTunes. Thanks in advance for any help or expertise!

  • Some songs cannot copy lyrics from iTunes.

I put lyrics on a song in iTunes, but when I sync it with my iPod, they don't seem to copy. When I try to look at the lyrics on my iPod, it says "Lyrics detected, but could not be retrieved." This happens in only some songs. For others, nothing goes wrong. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hello Snorkels,
Have you tried resetting your device to see if that does any good?
Otherwise, try converting the ID3 tags to an older version in iTunes, then syncing the updated changes to your iPod.
To convert the ID3 tags to an older version via iTunes:
    1. Locate the songs you are unable to retrieve lyrics from on your iPod
    2. Right->click on it and choose "Convert ID" tags.
    3. A small window will pop up with a few options for you to select.
    4. For the best results, tick the option that says *ID3tag version*, and choose either version 2.2 or 2.3 for the version.
    5. After the conversion has finished, sync the updated changes to your iPod.

  • I have some files that I named "Classic Rock" After the word "Various" as been suggested. When synced to a reader card so I can put in my car Player; Its a GPS with a Jukebox feature. Some songs say the artist I have named and some songs say "Various" i

Hello, I have a "Tom Tom" GPS in my car that offers a reader card slot for a feature called "Jukebox".
I have synced my I Tunes library to the card.
When installed in the GPS All my files play show info perfectly. HOWEVER the 4 or 5 files I have titled "Classic Rock" which I have entered as "Various" as been suggested. Half the songs show artists' name and the other half shoews the word "Various".
On my computer all shows correct information but on the GPS it shows as explained.....WHY?

Well, indeed that does not sound like a fun situation to be in. But, it is VERY good you are using Time Machine.
Let me explain, that there are two options when it comes to storing files in iTunes. When you import files, it will either leave the file in its original location on the hard drive and iTunes will know its location, or it will copy the file and store it in Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music/Artist_Name/Album_Name/, IF you have the option enabled titled "Keep iTunes Media folder organized."
I imagine you have it set to copy everything into the iTunes Media folder, which explains why your hard drive is filling up. Otherwise no extra space would have been taken up.
    Therefore, my recommendation is this:
Quit iTunes first. Then navigate to ~/Music in Finder, then Enter Time Machine. Restore the ENTIRE iTunes folder in that location from a previous backup that occurred BEFORE this whole thing happened. Depending on how much space you have left on your hard drive, it may be wise to first delete the entire current iTunes folder. The restore could take a long time, depending on how much data you have in iTunes.
This will guarantee you get back to a previous library, exactly as it was at that date and time. Yes, it may be a bit overkill but it is by far the simplest solution. Hope that works!

  • Some songs can't be loaded on 2nd gen ipod shuffle (question with answer)

I'm getting the following message when trying to load some songs on to my 2nd gen iPod shuffle:
"Some of the items in the iTunes library, including 'Allegro', were not copied to the iPod "iPod" because they cannot be played on this iPod." When I click on the details triangle I get "Allegro" was not copied because the audio format is not supported by the iPod "iPod".
This is happening for many songs that were previously loaded on this iPod. The songs were all loaded into iTunes from CDs. I have tried the iPod reset utility, deleting all songs and reloading, selecting a single song to sync, no luck.
When I do a "Get Info" on these songs they say they were encoded with either iTunes 6.0.5 or iTunes 7.0.2.
OK. Even before I was able to post the question, I found the answer. If I select the songs and from the "Advanced" menu select "Create AAC version", the AAC version can be copied to the iPod. Get Info shows the encoding has changed so AAC and iTunes 9.0.1.
Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.
    david.

You can't "sync" that is automatically update an iPod from multiple libraries or computers. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply.

  • When I first am looking at my newly uploaded photos in "Library", a box appears near the bottom of the photo that says "loading" (the photo looks good to me), then it is more "faded" and does not look as good.  Is there some setting on that I am not aware

When I am first looking at my newly uploaded photos in "Library," a box appears near the bottom of the photo that says "Loading".  While it is loading, I usually think the photo looks "good".  After the photo is done loading, it looks more washed out.  Is there some sort of setting that I might have on (or that I need to turn on) so that this does not happen.  I have Lr4.  Thanks.

    Hi Tracy,
There used to be a way to see if poster was new to the forum.., anyway - welcome to the forum.
As I was alluding to, biggest differences in initial display are due to:
    * Camera calibration profile.
    * Auto-exposure/contrast settings (for which compensations have been auto-applied in camera, but not in Lightroom).
So, choose a matching camera calibration profile (whether that's an option or not depends on your camera model - they're available for many but not all models) if you prefer one of them over "Adobe Standard" (the factory default profile).
Also, your camera covers for underexposure due to non-optimal auto-exposure/contrast setting, Lightroom doesn't, so your options are:
    * turn it off in camera.
    * learn to compensate manually (or automatically via a plugin) in Lightroom.
Of course, in addition to preferred defaults (alt-click big "reset" button in dev module), come up with some presets which are appropriate for your druthers and type of photography.. e.g. these will compensate Nikon ADL settings:

  • I am getting a message with some songs in my itunes library that has a different user id and says my computer is not authorized to play this song. ***?

Since transferring my iTunes library to a new computer, my library is just a mess.  There are lots of songs that are duplicated 2, 3 and 4 times although all but one of the songs will get a message saying iTunes cannot find the file.  Now I am getting a messages with some songs that shows a different user id for iTunes and wants the password.  I have spent lots of $$$ and time trying to resolve these issues but really want to know what the heck is going on here?

Maybe you purchased some of the other songs using a different itunes account.
    Could this be?

You seem to have tried everything, and you say it's syncing fine on your Dad's iMac, so I assume, you have also  done a Disk Diagnostic from an earlier post by tt2 and conclude that your iPod Hardisk is good.
You don't have to use it as a heavy paperweight, the problem is only using your Windows 7 machine for syncing.
In your troubleshooting steps, did you try to use another High-Speed USB 2.0 port, USB controller resource are very scarce, so if you use other USB devices, while syncing your iPod, it may just freeze.
Windows have a bad reputation for device conflict, so better don't connect other  USB devices, while syncing, better sync it while disconnected from Internet, stop antivirus just before you go to bed.
    Have a nice day!

Did you delete the hard copy of the songs from your computer after you uploaded them?
If so just highlight the said songs and delete but do not check the box that says delete from iCloud and your songs should play fine.
This happens when the original file is moved from the location that itunes was looking for it at and if you did this because you uploaded it then it will still be in the cloud you just need itunes to read from cloud and not think it's supposed to be finding the original file
