Some songs won't load on my ipod

I recently loaded some new songs from original CD's but they don't show up on my ipod after I sync up. If I look at the ipod properties it says I have 24 mb of "other" rather than music. I would appreciate any help on this. Thanks.

24MB of Other is really not a lot. You should not worry about that much. If it gets over like 100MB, then you could Restore.

  • Some songs won't load onto my iPhone 4 D:

Please, I put about 300 songs in my iphone
they all got sync., but when I want to add some more, they won't ''load'' in it; the little circle isnt fulled like the other songs did. I have enough space in my phone, and I already tried to put away all the songs and put them back. I closed my phone many times, and my computer too. I'm almost raging. help me.

    Hello lightninghbolt
Try to remove the tracks from your iPhone by unchecking the Sync Music in the Music Tab within iTunes. You can also Drag and drop the tracks to your iPhone to get them to sync as well. It is also a possibility that you may just need to convert the songs to a different format and sync as well. Check out the articles below for all the steps need to troubleshoot.

  • Some Songs Won't Play on the iPod

    I have a bizarre problem.
All of my songs that are on my iPod are in iTunes (How else would they get on my iPod xP) and they all work fine. In general, the songs on my iPod work/play fine, minus a few.
When I go to play them, the load up, I see everything that should be there (album cover, band name, song name etc.) but the song doesn't play. What does happen though, is that the iPod rapidly goes through the album, going song to song, without playing any of them, as if I were pressing the skip song button. (which I am not pressing)
Then it slows down and stays on one song, staying at the 0:00 mark, even though the play arrow at the top is there. If I press pause and then play again, the arrow icon changes, but the song still won't play.
Now if I go to any other song by any other band the iPod won't play that song. If I press the center button, and move what part of the song it is at, it skips to the next song, and it doesn't matter how far into the song I put it. It's like the screen shows there is 4:24(or any time, this is just an example) of a song but the iPod thinks there is 0:00.
A simple restart of the iPod sets everything back to normal, I can listen to my other music without a problem, but the same thing happens when I select any of those songs.
At first I thought they were just broken files on the iPod, or even from the CD which I uploaded to iTunes. So I just ignored it, and didn't play those songs. But then I got more music yesterday and put it on my iPod, and the same thing happens to the entire album. So I decide to go open iTunes, and see what would happen if I tried to play the files on the computer. In the iTunes library, they worked fine. I go to where my iPod is listed, and play it from there it also works fine. So it's only on the iPod.
Is it the format or the bit rate of the file? I don't think this is the problem, but maybe it is, so here's the info on the files.
    Kind: MPEG audio file
    Bit Rate: 320 kbps
    Format: MEG-1, Layer 3
    Encoded: LAME3.93
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

i have this exact problem on my 120 classic. it started earlier today on a few song i had downlaoded from the iTunes store. i thought it was an accessability issue since i had just updated to the latest iTunes, but it started happening on my songs from CDs, and then what you described happened on every single song i played on shuffle (out of about 10,000 songs total)
i got home and plugged it into to itunes only to find it told me to restore it. so i did. then it looked as if it was fixed (the bar at the bottom showed everything on it)
then i unplugged it, and it said no songs, yet there was 50gb of info on it.
i checked under settings and it said it was all 'other'. then i plugged it in again and restored it again and the same thing happened, 50gb of other.
iTunes works perfectly still. im not sure what the problem is, and ill probably go to the nearest iTunes store this weekend and ill tell you how it goes if theres a way to fix it.

  • Songs Won't Load on New Ipod

Got a new Ipod because my old one died. I can't load songs onto it. Here is what happens. When I hook the Ipod up, Itunes sees it and attempts to load the songs. I get a message that says it can't copy some of the songs because they aren't playable on this Ipod. This never happend with the old Ipod. I hit OK. Then I get an error that says "Attempting to copy the disk GREG's IPOD failed. An unknown error occurred (-69)." Any ideas?

This did help. However, I had to delete the file and just not uncheck it. I changed the preference to download only checked files, but it tried to download it anyway. Any idea why that would happen? Additionally, the "corrupt" file was a podcast. Are podcasets more apt to be "corrupted." This is the first that I have ever used my ipod with podcasts, and I am trying to understand if I should expect more of thest types of problems.
Thanks so much for your help.

  • Itunes 7.3.2, libra, and now songs won't load onto my iPod or iPHone

I'm not sure if Libra is the culprit, but since I updated last night, when I sync my iPod and IPhone no music or movies load.
I don't want to to to the hour of removing Libra and reconsolidating libraries if that is not the cause. I love Libra, I love being able to have my full library on an external drive and my iPod and only small ones on my laptop...

If the songs on the iPod are "greyed out" when you look at them through iTunes, it's because you have it set to auto sync. That's why you can't drag and drop.
If you want to do that, you need to change to manage the content manually.
"also once the songs are on the ipod, you can't change the text or get the artwork."
You will be able to edit the songs when you change to manual. However, if you add artwork to the songs on the iPod directly, you will not be able to view it on the iPod.
Artwork must be added to the songs in iTunes first, then transferred to the iPod.

  • Some songs won't copy to Ipod from Itunes

    Hello all,
A bunch of songs won't transfer to my ipod and I can't figure out why...
Exact message: "Some of the items in the Itunes Library, including "..." were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod" Then it says there are "101 problems - see below"
I counted the tracks, there are actually 63. (My library has about 6000 tunes.)
I've recently upgraded to buy the new DRM free songs, but I don't see the connection.
I checked the Kind, Sample Rate, and Bit rate and there doesn't seem to be any differences between these and others.
I converted the songs to mp3-192s, trashed the originals, still won't transfer.
I still have 10GB of space left on my iPod, so it's not a space issue.
Most are songs I purchased in the I-tunes store.
The only thing these songs have in common is that they all were loaded in the same session.
They were on my iPod before I upgraded to 7.2
    I'm on a G4 laptop, OS 10.4.9 1.67 PowerPC.
    Running I-Tunes 7.2
    Video iPod version 1.2.1

I was shocked to see your post. I was just about to paste this new thread:
After updating iPod software to 1.1.3 for my nano 8GB, there are 101 songs that iTunes refuses to sync to the nano, saying:
Some of the items in the iTunes library, including "Great Escape", were not copied to the iPod "My iPod" because they cannot be played on this iPod.
When I use the disclosure triangle to see details, all songs give the same info, for example:
"Multiply" was not copied because the file type is not supported by the iPod "My iPod".
But these are all just MP3 files. Some, if not all, of them were purchased in the iTunes store, then burned to a standard CD (aiff?), then later reloaded. They've all been played before on this iPod. I still have the original protected song files filed away, and I could pull them out, but I shouldn't have to do that. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks.
    --Scott
Sully, I think it is an odd coincidence that we both have "101 problems". I thought this was an iPod problem at first, but I have reset the iPod and started all over. The problem persists. I think the problem is in iTunes. In my case at least, there seems to be a list of m4p files within iTunes that were on this iPod before, files that i have replaced with regular mp3 files now, and iTunes doesn't want to copy over them. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

  • After upgrading to Mavericks, some websites won't load (using wifi)?

    Hey guys,
I upgraded my Macbook Pro to Mavericks last December. I had some problems when loading some websites (such as eBay, Society6, etc) while I was at home using my home wifi in Indonesia. It's like, sometimes these websites won't load, but sometimes they do.
I've tried different browsers and it's still the same. I thought, it was just the wifi at my home in Indonesia that's problematic, because at work (using cable), the internet's just fine. But THEN, I am now here in Australia, I don't usually have problems with my aprtment's wifi at all, but now it's doing that thing. Some websites won't load properly or won't load at all. I realized that this is most likely has something to do with my laptop (ie. upgrading to Mavericks. I've never had this problem before), because the wifi works just fine with my smartphone and my iPod.
Has anyone encountered similar problem? How do you fix this?
    Thanks so much,
    S

    Hello sharlegit
Try creating a new network location and test to see if the same thing happens of certain websites not working.

  • I was trying to sync my itouch with my new mac, and some songs won't download because they are not authorized for this computer. But even after my computer was authorized they still won't sync. How do I fix this?

I was trying to sync my itouch with my new mac, and some songs won't download because they are not authorized for this computer. But even after my computer was authorized they still won't sync. How do I fix this?

I have the same problem. It is only with tv shows and only with programs I have downloaded after the software update.
Apple support sent me the above link too....but it doesn't solve the problem...my computer is authorized and the content is in my library and will play on my Mac air, but it will not sync the tv shows, it keeps saying my computer isn't authorized for it.
No answers here, but you are definitely not alone with this issue.

I have reset the ipod, I have done a restore, I have reloaded itunes, I have updated the ipod but still am unable to figure out why. It did not used to do this. iPhoto [v 9.5.1] on MBP won't load photos from iPod touch Gen4 32GB, even if let run overnight and don't let machine go to sleep.
MBP has 8GB Ram and separate video card using 2.3 Ghx i7 processor ... so i don't think it is a hardware issue.

  • Songs won't load into ipod nano from new computer.

Load itunes library from old computer.  Installed iTunes& authorized new computer.  iTunes recognizes my iPod nano (4th generation), but won't load songs when synchronizing.
Any suggestions on how to fix?

I am having a similar problem. I recent reset my iPod as some songs were just skipping during play (they showed on the screen but after a second would just skip to next song), and have been trying to re-sync with no success. I have over 8,000 songs and when I attempt to update songs iTunes puts about 100 or so songs on then stops and states all songs have been updated. When I select update again it adds another 100 or so. Counting to 8,000 is going to take a while!! Don't know what to do...iTunes 5.0.1.4 9/23/2005 firmware. HELP!

  • Songs won't load into Ipod

I recently started having a problem were no songs I try to upload to my Ipod will actually stay in the Ipod. It tells me it uploads the songs in Itunes and when I look through the artist menu in the ipod, I notice that none of the songs that I uploaded are there. It happens also with podcasts. I have updated the firmware for my ipod and itunes to the latest version and it still happens.

  • Some songs won't display on ipod

I figure this seems more like an itunes syncing issue than an actual ipod problem, so I'll post it here...
It would seem that some songs under certain artists will not display in my ipod. This occurs when some songs are listed as being from one album, and the others are not tagged as being from an album at all. When I click the artist, it proceeds directly to the menu for that one album, skipping the screen which would normally give me the option to click "all". This problem does not occur when there is more than one album listed for that artist.
    Example:
    Song A - Album A
    Song B - Album A
    Song C
    Song D
    Song E
My ipod will only display the songs on Album A, giving me no access to the "All" menu and consequently no access to any songs which are not labelled as being on a specific album.
This problem does not occur with the following scenario:
    Song A - Album A
    Song B - Album A
    Song C - Album B
    Song D
    Song E
In this case, I would get the select album menu, at which there would be an option for "All," giving me access to the songs which are not tagged as being on an album.
Is this a bug, or are my settings screwed up?
    Dell Inspiron 6000   Windows XP

Not completely certain what you are trying to describe, but the first thing I would look at is your mp3 tags.
Both iTunes and the iPod are very sensitive to incorrect mp3 tags.
In iTunes 7 you now also have album artist as well as artist, if I were you I would select the middle view in iTunes 7 (the one which gives you a small picture next to the artist) and just see how your artists and albums are arranged.
After upgrading to iTunes 7, I had to spend about two hours organising album artists and compilations, this was never an issue before v7.
Once this is done your music should display on your iPod correctly.
