Some songs work some don't - but they all work on itunes
on my ipod some of my songs do not work. they all work on my itunes on my laptop. i've tried updating the ipod with no luck. thanks for the help
The fromat of the sonf might be wrong for your iPod. Either update you iPod's software or try changing the format of the song: Go to the location of the song in your computer(Explorer folder) . Click "view", "choose details", and tick the "type" box. Rename the songs that don't work only changing the letters after the ".". Change it to mp3.

Lately I've been importing photos from my iPhone to iPhoto and when I attempt to edit them they seem to disappear. Some reappper as a photo stream pic (some as the edited version and some not). But they no longer appear as a recent import. Lots more happens and I'm wondering if it's because I have a 5-year old Mac book or iPhoto is having issues. I'm not happy with disappearing photos especially after I've deleted them from my iphone after importing them to my macbook.

I'm trying to buy some EA games but they are not availalbe in my country, South Africa. Most of the apps I want to buy are not availalbe there. Splitting iTunes by country really is lame, I can buy anything anywhere on Ebay with the same credit card, thats the nature or eCommerce, do it all the time. How do I do this without having a foreign credit card?

Then you cannot buy them.

Then you cannot buy them either.
You can ONLY buy frome the itunes store of your country of residence ( proven by the issuing country of your credit card AND the valid billing address) AND ONLY while you are physiclally located inside the borders of that country.
You cannot use other countrys itunes stores.

I just purchased a used 3rd generation Ipod Touch and the latest software is iOS 4.2.1 and I have been trying to download apps (Facebook, Words w/Friends, etc.), but they all say I need to have iOS 5. Help!
Here are some tools to search for compatible apps (The first one is my recommendation).
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
Vintapps 3.1.3 - paid app.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
I personally havent looked for any clones of Words With Friends, but I bet you can find something.

You can delete apps from itunes by going to the Apps section of the Library NOT the sync page. Select App and delete. It will then be gone from the App Sync page as well.

You can change your country if you need to and click or tap on Purchases, billing and redemption and follow the prompts from there. -
On 3G we cannot send Business emails from either our iPhones or Ipad and this also happens with some WiFi connections but not all. Yet we can always send emails from our Hotmail Account using both 3G and WiFi.
We bought the iPhones and Ipad so that we could send emails while we are out of the Office, but we are not able to do this unless we can find a WiFi connection. Incoming emails are fine. We use IMAP, for Business emails just incase this is relevant and I know that Hotmail is POP3.
Our technical IT knowledge is not great, so we look forward to your suggestions as to how to resolve this.Contact whomever supports the email account and get the correct Outgoing email server settings from them.

I called the help number and the lady said she would have to charge me $29 to do so, but that there are other ways that are free that someone may be able to help me with.

I used my friend itune to transfer songs to my iphone 4 but when i am using itunes from my laptop i am not able to tranfer songs to iphone.. .. why and what need to do ?
I would suggest that join your iphone with iTunes and do not sync. Than in your info window of iTunes uncheck auto sync of songs and videos. Check Mark for manual selection of songs. Also uncheck sync of songs window. After this sync your iphone and manually copy your songs from your iphone through itune by opening music under your iphone icon in the left status bar and copy to your laptop music folder. I think it would help out. I did same for myself. Try out. TC

I have music files by the same artist but they are listed in Itunes in more than one album hod can i add then to just one album of that artist I am using windows 8.1 .
iTunes will group songs into an album when:
All songs have the same value for the Album and Artist field, or
All songs have the same value for the Album and Album Artist field
All songs have the same value for the Albumfield and the Part of a Compilation flag is checked.
If you want to group all the songs by one artist into a single "album" you can do so by following one of these rules. However, it may be more useful to create Playlists to group music like this and retain the original release information. One Smart Playlist for each artist you're interested in would meet this need without over-writing information about the source albums. -

When I download videos (from an external hard drive), they appear to be downloaded (file sizes look correct) but they all stop playing a few minutes in!
Try the following in the terminal
ls -alh filename
du -chs filename
And what happens if you play the files directly of the external drive? -
What is the best iPhone 4/4s extended battery case? I've been reading reviews for a bunch of them, but they all seem to say the same thing.
Personally most of my co-workers are using the Mophie case. They are great quality but can be pretty pricey. All of my fellow co-workers have been using this case to help with the upsetting battery drain that comes with ios5. I have seen people drop the the iPhone with this case on and seems to be a good sturdy case with an extra 9 hour battery life.
