Some systems donu00B4t recognize master system in SDCCN administration

Hi everybody,
I have defined all my systems in tx SMSY. I added all of them in SDCCN Administration and check the status with green light result.
The problem is when I define the master system. Three of my system have "No master defined" text, the rest of systems are Ok. There are two CRM (Prod & Qua) and a BW (Prod) with this failure.
Any idea? Is necesary any maintenance in these satellite systems?
Thanks for all.

Hi Pablo,
you could try defining a master system directly in each of the satellite systems via SDCCN->GoTo->Settings->Task-Specific->RFC Destinations->Settings->Display<->Change->Set Master SAP Solution  Manager System.
best regards,
-David.

  • Early watch alert task not created on satellite system via SDCCN

The task about EWA is not created on satellite system via SDCCN.
The RFC back was created on Solution Manager and the user assigned to it has the following profiles:
    S_CUS_CMP (SAP_S_CUS_CMP) Read data
    S_CMSREG (SAP_S_CSMREG) -> Central system repository data
    S_BDLSM_READ (SAP_S_BDLSM_READ) -> SDCCN data
    SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_ADMIN -> Service Desk messages
    SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE -> Service Desk messages
I have checked the RFC authorizations and Connection nothing is wrong.
Do you folks have any clue about that issue?
    tks,
    Re

    Hello,
Not really much information to go on. The Maintenance package tasks is intended to schedule the Refresh defintion and services SDCCN tasks. So is this tasks scheduled? Is this taks gettign any errors/warnings in the logs?
The EWA task is created when the refresh service task runs and gets a list of the serivce sessions that need to be
    populated.
You can run a refresh services task to see if there are any sessions to pull. If ther are no sessions, it could be a problem in SMSY defintions for the system. if the system is not delared 100% correctly in SMSY  you will not get an EWA session populated.
In DSWP in the SOlution is the EWA for the SID red flagged? If so this means the data still needs to be colelcted from the satellite/managed sysetm. Does the installation number of the SID match the one in SMSY? If not you willnot get any sessions.
Is the refresh session actually using the *BACK RFC to the intended Solution Manager ssystem and is it defined as the master in SDCCN RFC destinations?
If you go to SE37 and run TH_SERVER and specify the SM_SIDCLNTnnn_BACK RFC, does it pull the server list?
If so your back RFC is functioning properly and a logon is successful.
Are the service defintions being replaced successfully when the Maintenance Package runs? Are they replaced when an upgrade was done? It could be the service defintions need to be replaced.
But really more information is needed. I have covered off just some of the issues possible.
    Regards,
    Paul

  • Won't boot from install discs after deleting some system files

I've been looking through the forum and haven't found an answer to my problem - maybe someone can help me out.
I have an aluminum Powerbook G4, 1.67, 1.5 RAM, 10.4.11. I was experiencing the problem with FCE capturing video for about 5 minutes and then freezing, and I read some threads here about how this can be fixed by returning to Quicktime 7.2 and installing it with Pacifist. I did this, but first tried to delete my previous Quicktime version files, and obviously I deleted some system files in the process. That's how my new problem started.
Programs now that do not open - Preview, iTunes, iMovie, FCE, Yahoo, Mail, and Microsoft Messenger. I no longer have my date/time/battery level/airport/bluetooth indicators in my toolbar. The Spotlight icon flashes, but will not open. Also, when opening the System Preferences pane, it opens just for a second or two and then crashes and closes. Safari, airport, and Word all work, though, and I still can access internet.
I tried to re-install OS 10.4 from my black install disc. The computer reads the disc, but after I click the installer icon and then "restart," the computer fails to completely reboot. The disc spins in the drive, I get the Apple, the indicator, and then the screen goes to blue and the disc soon stops spinning. Nothing happens after that. I've tried rebooting by holding down the C key but the same happens. When I hold down the option key, I get to the point where I can choose to boot from the install disc, and then the same thing happens - the blue screen and nothing more. Booting with the shift key held down doesn't work either.
I did just have a repair by Apple - my adaptor plug sparked when inserting it into the outlet, and I had to have the logic board replaced. But the computer seemed to be working fine when I got it back, except for the FCE issue first mentioned. Looks like my good intentions have done me in.
The install disc is about three years old, and is in good condition. It's been in the garage, so could heat or cold affect the readability of the disc?
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can boot from my install disc and get a fresh install of my OS?

    Hi bboross,
Tough without a Tiger Disk, but try fsck...
To use fsck, you must run it from the command line. Unlike using your mouse to open an application to do something, you'll need to type a text command at the prompt (#) to tell fsck what to do. The Terminal application (/Applications/Utilities) and single-user mode are two examples of command-line interfaces in which you can type such commands. To use fsck:
    1. Start up your computer in single-user mode to reach the command line. Hold CMD+s keys down at bootup.
Note: If necessary, perform a forced restart as described in the Emergency Troubleshooting Handbook that came with your computer. On desktop computers, you can do this by pressing the reset/interrupt button (if there is one) or holding down the power button for several seconds. On portable computers, simultaneously press the Command-Control-power keys. If your portable computer doesn't restart with this method, you may need to reset the Power Manager.
    2. At the command-line prompt, type /sbin/fsck -fy
(space between fsck and -fy important)
    3. Press Return. fsck will go through five "phases" and then return information about your disk's use and fragmentation. Once it finishes, it'll display this message if no issue is found:
** The volume (nameofvolume) appears to be OK
If fsck found issues and has altered, repaired, or fixed anything, it will display this message:
*** FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED ***

Important: If this message appears, repeat the fsck command you typed in step 2 until fsck tells you that your volume appears to be OK (first-pass repairs may uncover additional issues, so this is a normal thing to do).
    4. When fsck reports that your volume is OK, type reboot at the prompt and then press Return.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), & use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, reboot once more.

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more.  And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should.  On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much.  I will post a note in the app store to let them know.  I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again.

The issue is resolved. It was because of updating the IE version from 6 to 7.

  • Some systems doesn't show up in the all systems. why?

    Hi
We had a SCCM 2007 sp2 environment before. then we changed the server and installed a fresh SCCM2012.
We use active directory client deployment method. even i tried installing the client from the exe file of ccmsetup.exe
until now 120 systems client has installed successfully but we faced two issues:
1- on some systems ccmsetup process exits after 10-20 seconds!!
2- on some systems even after a successful installation, the system wont show up in the config manager console.
    any advise or help?
    thanks

Yes, those are client side logs. If the client cannot communicate with the server, there is no way for the server to have information about the client in its logs.

  • Sections of report not being displayed on some systems

Hello... strange issue... We have these Crystal 11 reports deployed that are being called via a VS .NET 2005 application.  The reports display fine on most systems, but on some systems (Dells, a few years old, 512mb of ram), sections of the report are not being displayed.  For example, on one report parts of the header are not displayed, nor is some of the subtotal sections etc. However, if they zoom to 75%, they can view the subtotal section but the header part disappears. Additionally, if they export or print the report, it comes out just fine! Any idea what could be going on here? Thanks!

I have issues in ReportDesigner  when I have my hardware acceleration set at maximum try reducing it. Goto
ControlPanel-> Display Properties (settings Tab) -> Advanced Button -> troubleShoot tab. I had to set my down by 4 notches before it worked. - Try setting it to none to see if it fixes your issue

    Thank You!

Have you upgraded your SCOM 2012?, please note, manually installed agents will NOT be updated automatically, you need to run the agent roll-up/upgrade by manually logging onto the servers
plz run the below PS to check the updates on your agents
    Import-Module operationsmanager
    $agents = get-scomagent
    $value = $agents[0].HostedHealthService.GetMonitoringProperties() | ? {$_.Name -eq “PatchList”}
$agents | select version, Name, PrimaryManagementServerName, ManuallyInstalled, @{Label=”PatchList”; Expression={$_.hostedhealthservice.getmonitoringpropertyvalue($value)}} | sort primarymanagementservername, manuallyinstalled, version | ft -autosize

  • Get error messages for those procedures in some system tables

    >
No - there is no system log table.
You need to create your own logging package and log table and modify your procedure code to call your own logging procedures to log into your own log table.
The procedures in the log package would typically be defined with PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION so that the exceptions get logged even if your procedure performs a ROLLBACK.
See AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION in the PL/SQL Language Reference
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28370/autotransaction_pragma.htm
Here is an Oracle-Base article that shows how to use the pragma to perform logging.

  • Some system sounds have disappeared

I just retreived my MacBook Pro from the customer services, where the Logic Board has been changed.
I noticed that some system sounds are not performed anymore.
For example, after completing a download from the Internet the "download folder" on the dock used to "pop". Now the icon jumps but no sound is played.
How can I manage sounds and assigned actions?
    Thanks a lot

    Welcome to Apple Discussions:
Do you have any 3rd party audio apps such as AirFoil or WireTap installed?
If you open the Audio MIDI setup and under Audio devices, Default Output, if you see some SoundFlower or other listings, that is usually the problem.
If you only have "built-in output" then the problem lies elsewhere.
FYI: There is an entire forum for coreaudio, well hidden

  • Wallpaper fixed for the entire domain with group policy but some systems are getting the updated wallpaper

    Hi ,
I fixed the wallpaper for the entire domain and It was applied to entire domain.
After some day, I have changed the domain wallpaper. Then some systems are showing New wallpaper and some systems are showing old wallpaper.
I have applied the gpudate /force command for those system who didn't get wallpaper.
    Could you please suggest.

    Hi Srikanth,
First, please make sure that the GPO is applied to client properly.
To check that, please follow the steps below:
    gpupdate /force
    gpresult /h C:\report.html
Note: This procedure needs the privilege of the Administrator.
If the GPO is applied properly, please try to reboot the client.
If issue persists after reboot, please check if the following link is helpful:
The "Desktop Wallpaper" Group Policy setting is not applied in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you are having a problem then if you post it what it is then somebody on here might be able to help - if your problem is related to the iPhone itself, then you will probably be better off posting in the Using iPhone forum, this forum is for problems related to the iTunes Store.
