Some trouble with iMac (IOS 10.9.2) in windows shared folder

I Have several iMac with IOS 10.9.2 conected with a shared folder in a Windows Server 2003.
A external user send via email some .jpg files, this external MAC has IOS 10.8.5.
From PC we copy that file into shared folder, but in our MAC with 10.9.2 can´t see that file in FINDER, but another iMac with 10.8.5 see all files.
Thats happens only with this jpg send by external user (outside my office).
Can you help me?

Unfortunately, unless you know the Apple ID, there is absolutely nothing that can be done, you cannot use your mobile device. You may be able to find your Apple ID at Look up your old and forgotten Apple ID

If you're updating your iPad with an over-the-air iOS update, the following Knowledge Base article offers up some practical steps for troubleshooting some of the issues that can arise:

In your instance, these sections may prove particularly useful:
Download takes a long time, or you can't reach update server
iOS updates require a persistent Internet connection, and the time it takes to download the update will vary according to the size of the update and your Internet speed. You can use your device normally while downloading the iOS update, and iOS will notify you when you can install the update. To improve the speed of the download, avoid downloading other content.
If you get a message that "an error occurred downloading iOS," try again later. If the issue persists, try updating your device in another network or use iTunes to update your device. Learn more about iOS updates.
Update does not complete
If you're installing the update and the progress bar appears to move slowly, be patient. The time an update takes depends on the size of the update and the number of files on the device.
When you're updating over the air, keep your device connected to a power source so that it doesn't run out of power. If your device does run out of power, connect it to a power source and turn on the device to let the update or restore complete.
If the update never completes and the progress bar hasn't moved for an extended time, try restarting your device. If you still see the issue after you restart, see what to do if your device appears frozen or won't start.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

I have some trouble With the graph XY, if I display a curve and try to zoom on it, it may be corrupted, or may disappeared.

In fact this happens on some computers. the graph XY causes some trouble when zooming. Sometimes, when I run my main program and open the window with the graph, it has change the displayed it overflows to the edge of the windows. Or somtimes it works but if I zoom the curves disappeared, or is corrupted.
I have this for instance on a computer with win 98 and a ATI graphic board. So I try to update all drivers but noting has changed. I try to decrease the hardware acceleration, and it seems to happen less oftenly.
Does anybody have seen that kind of trouble ?

I think what you are describing is not due to video driver, but rather
to the way the graph works. The LV graph maps points to integer screen
coordinates and draws lines be tween those point. When the numbers are
way to large to fit on the screen, the numbers are pinned to a special
large value. When this happenson one axis but not the other, it causes
the slope of the line to change and potentially not cross the screen.
If this is the same effect I'm describing, it only takes place when you
zoom into the data by a large extent, pushing the other points about ten
to fifteen monitors away. At this point you are no longer
looking at
measured data, but rather just on the interpolation of a line between
two points. The solution if you must have one is to resample your data
on the diagram to contain more points.

Hi! I have some troubles with my iphone 4 since a few months. Sometimes, suddenly, it pretends to discharge very fast, but when it comes to 1% I can still use it for hours. Also, when I recharge it, nothing would change at the 1%-note but the battery seems to be fully charged. The first and second time this happened, I made the mistake to turn the phone off because I thought a restart would solve the problem. But it made it worse: The Iphone wouldn't turn on again. I tried all the tricks with home + power button and also tried to connect it to itunes on my macbook, but nothing happend. When I connect the charger it shows me that the battery is empty (which isn't the case - I also tried different wires). After a few hours a little miracle occured and the **** thing turned on all by itself and pretended as if nothing happened.
The third time this happend I didn't turn the phone off and just used it normally. I took care that the battery is always full and after a few days it was normal again.
Now it happened again but I had no wire with me at work and the battery ran low and the phone turned off. Now I'm trying to "reanimate" it for 2 days now...nothing. The last times it took 3hours to 12 hours until it would awake but now...
Does anyone know this problem and knows how to solve it? As I said, I already tried the "press the home button and powerbutton and both and whatever" tricks for a few times but it doesn't change anything....

Press the "Delete All" button

Hello, I'm having some troubles with my computer. Before nothing excuse me please if i'm not writting english very well its just because i'm not speak it very well.
This is my computer's configuration:
Motherboard MSI 875P Neo Series (MS-6758)
Pentium IV Hyper Threading 3GHz
2GB Ram DDR 400 Kingston
2 HDD Maxtor Diamond 9 80GB @ 7200RPM (With ventilator and dissipator each one)
DVD Rom Samsung
DVD Ram Sony
NVidia GeForce FX-5200 128MB (MSI, too)
Power Supply AOpen ATX-300GU (The Computer Housing haves 2 ventilators behind and 1 more in the front)
I'm just trying to use good components for this computer, but i have these problems:
1. When I'm working with Windows XP Professional, suddenly the PC resets itself. I was trying to disable the "Restarts Automatically" option from My PC Properties to see if it was a Windows problem or a Hardware one, but the second problem becomes more persistent and I neglect it.
2. This problem is the hardest one for me (I lost just 2 weeks trying to solve it but I cannot solve it). Sometimes, when I restart the PC, I can see that in the First Screen (The MSI's Logo) the system it's blocked and I must restart the PC from the front button or turn off (Sometimes the PC don't block this part). Then When I restart, In the Raid Bios (when you must press ctrl + i) it don't recognize the Raid 0. Sometimes send these messages:
Raid 0: Failed
Maxtor 0: Missing
Maxtor 1: Fine
Or simply:
Raid 0: Failed
Maxtor 0: Fine
Maxtor 1: Fine
If this message appears, I can enter pressing Ctrl + I and the system question me if some hard disks belongs to the Raid 0 array, I answer "YES" and the Raid is repaired. Then I restart the PC and I can work very well in Windows. But suddenly if I restart or turn off the PC the problem appears again. It don't causes information Trouble or missing files or Operating System, but it's very annoying and therefore it doesn't have to happen... This is a list of things that I was made to try to repair it but I simple and simply fail.
a) I was change the motherboard for another 875P MSI but it was equal.
b) I was change the memory too, and decrease it.
c) I upgrade the BIOS to Version 1.8 I guess
d) I disconnect the 5 extra ventilators thinking in a probably power fail, but not
e) I was change (too) the Hard Disks for 2 Seagate Barracuda (I don't have the model but it's of 80GB too)
f) I was change the motherboard for an 865 but I forget a little detail: It don't have the Raid option
g) I was change the Power Supply for another similar but.... not....
h) I was change too the SATA cables...
i) I was change too the processor and I was installing a PIV HT 2.4GHz but....
Like you can see, I was almost assembling a new pc but i continued with the troubles. The configuration in BIOS is correct, I was checking it in this page and everythings seems to be OK... Right now i'm working with this pc without a Raid 0 array and I'm working fine (for now) but it's very important for me to be working with the array. I'm not sure if I'm forgetting something in BIOS, but I'm sure that everything is OK... I would be happy if someone can help me....

This power supply is too small.
Acer shows the +12 rail as having a normal current of 4.3A and a max of 13A. Your CPU will draw around 10A, plus your drives and fans draw from this rail as well.
This site indicates your power supply should be around 500W.

Mouse troubles with iMac Summer 2000 DV with OS 9.1

I have recently inherited an iMac as above, but am having trouble with it. I don't have a keyboard for it, but i do have an old school apple mouse for it. The mac starts fine, but when you are on the desktop you can move the mouse around, but you cant click on anything. Aside from this everything seems fine. I have been using macs for many years now, but am stuck as to what the problem could be. My only thought is that it might need a keyboard just to function.

Welcome to Apple's Discussions.
Unlike earlier Macs (perhaps ADB-based ones, certainly the very early ones with phone-connector type keyboard cabling) which would not fully boot, if at all, if a mouse and keyboard were not present, the USB-based Macs will boot satisfactorily whether or not a keyboard and/or mouse is connected. This is in line with the hot-swap nature of USB.
Old mouses (old hardware of any kind) can be suspect. Unfortunately, in order to test that you will need to get a functional keyboard for the Mac in order to use startup commands.
You need not use an Apple-labelled keyboard; there are many 3rd-party keyboards which work well with Macs, even with OS 9. One company in particular, Macally, offers keyboards for Macs which are also compatible with Mac startup commands - and they are less expensive than Apple keyboards.

Ahhh, the new Error 69. Many people but not all have the same problem. E-mail Apple about this and try to use the last version of iTunes. For the songs skipping, there is an error when syncing those songs and were not synced properly. Try reseting the ipod to factory settings

Library problems with two XP user accounts accessing music in shared folder

I'm sorry if this has already been answered; I have not been able to find the answer. My wife and I each have a different user account on the same Windows XP machine. I recently combined our iTunes libraries into the shared folder on the computer. I correctly pointed iTunes (in each of our accounts) to the correct location for the music files. I did an "Add Folder to Library" to make sure each account had all of the music. When I did this, I got duplicate listings of all of the songs that also had exclamation points. When I did a "Get Info" on these songs, I found that each song was correctly pointed to the correct file location. I laboriously deleted each "exclamation point" song one at a time (in each account). Now the problem I have is that whenever my wife or I close iTunes and the other person opens iTunes in their XP user account, none of the songs can be found. The best way I've been able to resolve this is to (unfortunately) delete the entire library, and do an "Add Folder To Library" to find all of the song locations and include all of the songs back into the library. Surely this can't be how this is supposed to work.
So, my questions are:
- Do I need to add new albums / songs one at a time to avoid duplicates (rather than use the "Add Folder" for the entire iTunes music folder again)?
- How do I setup iTunes so that my wife and I can each go into iTunes in our seperate XP accounts and have all of our songs right where we left them (WITHOUT having to delete the entire libary and "add" again.)
FYI: I'm using the latest version of iTunes and (again) I'm using Windows XP.
My wife and I really want to each get a new iPod Nano, but if I can't trust iTunes... forget it.

I have this setup at working. Two accounts with all files stored on a shared folder, mine is a network drive. Each account has its own library and can access all files. We also use one iTunes account for rare purchases.
This is how did initial setup:
Make a folder in the shared folder. I called mine itunes.
This is where iTunes stores its files.
With second account point iTunes at shared folder.
Import the folder you created earlier.
This worked for me without duplications. The only complication is that when importing from CD with one account the other doesn't know it. The other account must do import on the folder for the CD just imported. We keep track of this with a spreadsheet updated to show which account has which CD files.

Trouble with iMac

When I turn my iMac on it asks for my password, once I have put my password in the screen goes blue as it normally does before the background and apps appear however that's where it's stopping. What's wrong with the computer?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

I am having some trouble with Adobe Flash Player

I have tried to record an audioboo and when I press record the Adobe Flash Player comes up and asks to allow the mic etc... I set it up to allow but then can't close the box!? I have tried lots of times and it just won't close and hence I can't record the boo. I don't have a problem closing the flash player any other time and I have in fact recorded audioboo's before, but for some reason I can't now? Any help or advice would be great.

I have the exact same issue - but the funny thing is that it is only on my iMac - my MacBook Pro is fine and they both have 10.7.2 and the same latest Flash Player, so I think it might be a hardware problem to be honest.
Ever since upgrading to Lion my iMac has been that way - my MacBook Pro had the problem with the first update from Adobe but after the second update of the Flash Player everything is fine on the MacBook Pro.
How old is you MacBook Pro?

Some troubles with filetransfers

I have to transfer files from a Webserver running with ancient OS to Tigermaschines (Powerbooks...) and back.
So I can mount activate Filesharing and mount the Tiger on the old machine; transfered files have false characters in the filename in case of some signs in german..
With a ftp application (Cyberduck) sitting on Tiger all fetched files beyond html and text files have an second fileextension hqx and are not referenced in webpages, resulting in an linkerror...
On settings in Cyberduck I have Automatic, Binary, or ASCII; changing the settings brings no better result.
Lies my mistake on the Tiger or on the ancient software (FTP-Server)?

is there any problem with artcovers in the ipod cos when i put artcover in the song i have in my ipod it doesnt sync with itunes
If you are adding artwork to the songs directly to the iPod it won't sync this to the same songs in iTunes. For a start, to add artwork directly to the iPod it must be set to "manual" and under those circumstances nothing syncs from iPod to iTunes.
The correct way is to add artwork to the songs in your iTunes library, then transfer those songs to your iPod either manually or automatic sync.
You should try adding the artwork to the songs in iTunes first, not directly to the songs on the iPod (through iTunes).
If you add artwork directly to the iPod, the artwork is sometimes not displayed when playing songs.

I too have this problem but I've had it for about 2 years. We used to think it was because I was on wi-fi and I was getting interference. I moved the modem closer and that didn't help. Then my ISP kept telling me it was my Dlink modem so I chucked that modem out and went with my ISP's modem. That didn't solve the problem but at least my ISP couldn't blame it on other equipment. I then moved the modem right beside my iMac and I was still loosing the connection while on wi-fi. I got so fed up that I have hard wired my iMac right into the modem and it's still happening. Ive had my cable company out here a zillion times trying to trouble shoot this. They changed all of my cabling from the road to my house and from my house to the computer. They gave me a new modem and then they gave me another new modem but a different brand. I'm still dropping my internet connection every few minutes.
The one thing that I discovered with my provider is that I'm not actually loosing connection to the internet as they don't see my internet dropping at all. It's as if the signal comes and goes on this iMac and when it goes, I'm left with my curser doing the whirley-bird until it reconnects to the net. Usually takes 5 minutes or so but it eventually comes back. My wi-fi is fine with my iPad and my iPhone but it wasn't with this iMac. I've been on Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion and I've had the same problem with all three OS's on this iMac.
I'm totally at a loss as to why this is happening. It's very frustraging and makes it near impossible to use online banking or booking flights etc because I can't keep a connection long enough.
Anybody have any brilliant suggestions to try?
