Hi, apologies in advance if somebody has already posted this information, but for those people (myself included) who have tried in vain to find the correct code to enable you to use your handset to operate your television - put an extra zero in front of each code and try them again.

The extra zero is documented in the instructions, but very easy to miss. I really don't understand why BT think it's a good idea to have the instructions in one place, the codes in another and have 3 digit codes when clearly 4 digits are required. A simple tidy up to combine the instructions with the codes and make all the codes the correct 4 numbers would make life a lot easier for your customers BT.

and I would like to know what's going up and what I should do, so in case somebody have some infos about it, I would be very interrested.
I'm trying to find a way of veryfing fragmentation of the backend, but not sure about this.

Looks like the attribute sunIdentityServerDiscoEntries is defined twice in the schema. Run the following and see where it is defined for the second time.
# cd /var/opt/SUNWdsee/dsins1/config/schema
# grep -w sunIdentityServerDiscoEntries *.ldif | grep -iv objectclasses

IMac Remote Code for DishTV Remote

I am using a new iMac as TV monitor via the EyeTV Hybrid input. Everything is working well except that I need to program my Dish remote to control the volume of my iMac.
Before I embark on the lengthy code discovery process, does anyone happen to know what the Dish remote programming code is for the iMac monitor?

Unfortunately, if you use all of the given device codes as well as the code search option, then you've pretty much gone through every code in the remote. There are over 300 codes, so you could try again in case you accidentally bypassed the correct code. There's also the possibility that the remote is defective, but if you have no trouble controlling other devices, then that makes it less likely.
If you have a 2nd remote for a 2nd STB you could try that and see if the trouble replicates. If you don't have a 2nd remote, you can obtain a replacement remote through the In Home Agent on your PC or Set Top Box. It can be downloaded here:

Try the setup with the 2nd remote, and failing that, then it just means the remote does not hold a code for that device. I realize the 2 devices are from the same manufacturer, but they are 2 separate products, produced for 2 different services. Any question as to why the 2 are not compatible would have to be directed toward Philips.

Need some info about screen type for Satellite C50

Was wondering if someone could help clear up what the situation is regarding matte and glossy screens on the C50 series. Ideally which particular model numbers mean I would get a matte screen ? and also ideally from Amazon UK as an example in terms of product links.

What you need is an 15.6 wide screen (13.6" x 7.6") display with an 40 pin LED socket
The part number isnt known to me and I think that such info would not be very useful since the part numbers are Toshiba internal part numbers.
If you want to purchase an display from independent dealer, search in google for SATELLITE C50-A 15.6 wide screen matte
I found some online dealers providing such part but dont want to post the link since I dont want to make an promotion.
However, you can also get all compatible parts from local Toshiba authorized service providers

Opinion:
Java sucks more than any language in graphics (sorry again its my opinion). I had a time when I was doing C++ graphics work. And tried to run the same code in java. java really has a bad performance windows. even on non windows platform java graphics is very slow.
Compared to that C# graphics is really good. have an ability to talk with C++ dlls and work back in high object oriented language.

well i believe both java and C# use vm or something to compile the codes, when it comes to doing graphics, you can acutally see in java
GC kicking in, but i noticed in both(Dx9.0 examples, and OpenGL examples) you get Very very close performance in C# as you do in C/C++ version of the code, hmmm i think that suggests that guys in Sun need to work a bit more on their VM, dont you agree =)

I am updating content in an old site and am using an old extension to close a child page. It has worked fine up until I started using CS6. The code for this is in a template I am using and the code has not changed.

if you choose the first HTML link to the current newsletter when you try to use the close buttons neither of them work. Yet if you go down to the issue from January, and go to the HTML version, it works just fine. This is the code that the extension puts in:

I haven't changed it in any way. The only change is that I'm using Dreamweaver CS6 to make these changes. Anyone have a fix for me?

Boy, that didn't really come out very well.
On the archive_newsletters.html page, the "HTML" links are supposed to have target="_blank" in them...
<a href="newsletters_html/2014_03.html" target="_blank">HTML</a>
so a new tab is opened with the info. That new tab is then closed by the this.close() javascript.
On the newsletters that don't close correctly, there is no target="_blank" to open them in a new window initially, so they can't close with that method.

Using aggregation in ABAP code for internal table

I have written following code to get cumulative amount on a date but i have to hit database for each record.
Can't I use some function similar to SUM for doing the same thing on internal table??It would increase my performance.

When you create new business transaction of activity you get a pop-up window, where you choose the type of transaction type. I would like to change some settings on this component, but I don't know which component is this. F2 button doesn't work, because this is already a pop-up window and it doesn't allow to open new pop-up window where I would see this info.
Does anyone now which component is this?

Actually this pop-up window is nothing out one another view and it is displaying as pop-up when create_popup method of IF_BSP_WD_WINDOW_MANAGER interface triger.
With this method we pass the component usage name in which that component available.
If u will check EN_ONNEW event handler , u will found this code
     proctype_bo_popup = comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup(
                          iv_interface_view_name = 'ProcTypeBOWindow'
                          iv_usage_name = 'CUBTFOLLOWUP'
                         iv_title = lv_title ).
In this code CUBTFOLLOWUP is the component usage name which is available in Run Time Repository.If u will check there is one component bound with this usage ie. BTFOLLOWUP.
In this component 3 view are available. from these views BTFOLLOWUP/ProcTypeBO is the view which is displaying this pop-up for transactions.

So, there's a requirment to use this BADI, and you don't know what the BADI is for, nor why you need to use it. How was the requirement phrased? Did your boss say - Hey, Kalai - your next assignment. Use this BADI.
Funny that - because usually, your Boss or whoever, will say something like - we need this functionality, you can implement in this BADI. Then you know the why.
So, what's it all about? Why do you need this information?

Can anyone give me some tech info about the camera on my Pre?

I'm about to set off on a long, lightweight trip and plan to use the Pre as my only camera on this trip. I have a few questions about the pre camera which I can't seem to find answers to on the phone itself:
1. Is there any way to set the 'picture quality' on the camera - ie, low-res / hi-res - or do I just get what I'm given.
2. How 'big' is the filesize of each picture going to be - in other words, how many will I get before my 8Gb pre is 'full'
3. Is there any way to zoom with the camera? I think not, but thought I'd ask...
4. To get the pictures off the phone, I plan to send them as attached files with text messages or email, back to base. Then I could delete them from the pre, to create space. Will this method attach only low quality versions of each picture, or will the original-quality picture be sent?

In answer to your questions,
1. No, there is no way to change the resolution.
2. It depends on the picture you take. I have not seen a spec. on the default file size. I suspect they will be in the KB range.
3. No, no way to zoom.
4. When you send the picture it should not change the resolution.
