Some users continue to get overdue notices for an approval workflow that has already completed and approved. How to stop the overdue notices. And there are no tasks running in the task list.

How did you do that? Do you mean you sync to iTunes that had the ipad library?
The phone with the issue, settings - general - reset - erase all contents and settings - this will wipe the phone clean and then restore from your backup. -
Getting multiple Mobile device quarantine notices for previously approved devices.
Recently we have started getting multiple notices to the user and to our help desk about a device being quarantined that is not. I've got one user getting them about every 15 minutes. When I use the following powershell this user is not listed
Get-ActiveSyncDevice -filter {deviceaccessstate -eq 'quarantined'} | select deviceid, userdisplayname
i've also had devices show up in the ECP that are not consistant with what shows in the above command and i've been unable to approve them to clear them so I blocked them instead which clears them then I fix them with powershell if they should be approved.
I am at a loss as to where to look and my users are getting annoyed by the spam. I'm about to turn off device quarantine to "fix it" but i'd rather not.
Oh and right now at least these are all iphones

Please create a new policy and apply to a test user that this happens
to often, and see if they still get
quarantined.
And please enable Mailbox Logging for ActiveSync to check result.

User Event Case getting tied up for long duration in LV 2009 (with SP1)?
Quick question here...is there any decent reason the user event case is getting tied up for long durations in LV 2009.SP1? In 8.5 I never had an issue with my code doing this, though when converting to 2009.SP1 I am running into huge lock-up issues with the user event case.
I have not seen aby issues...
You are saying that the code from LV8.5 (unmodified) behaves differently in LV2009 SP1?

I'm running pages 4.1 and get a notice for an update (4.2)
I get a notice now for a Pages 4.2 update, but when the machine transfers me over to the German store (where I live) I'm told there are no updates available. I wouldn't bother, but pages opens now only after several attempts. How can I update to Pages 4.2?
iWork '09 installed from the retail disk or from the downloaded trial must be updated through Software Update. In Mountain Lion Software Update has been "rolled into" the Mac App Store. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu just like you always have & the Mac App Store will launch. Depending on what you have that needs updating you may see two sections in the MAS window.
But, as always, if you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.

Hi Experts,
I am facing issue related to sendor name format.
Whenever SRM approval workflow gets triggered then corresponding responsible user(Approver) gets a mail in their SAP inbox.
I checked in the system these workflow runs using RFC_USER user.So approver gets mail with sendor information as RFC_USER i.e. "Sent: Jun 17, 2011 by RFC_USER, Functional ID "
My requirement is to replace this RFC_USER with some other generic user.
Can anybody tell me please how can i achieve this.

Usually, if I want to do anything unusual with mails from workflow then I create a step which calls a task which calls a new method of my BOR object which calls fm SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1. In that we can specify Sender name different from WF_BATCH or RFC_USER.

The WF guy told me that the PO approval workflow (1 step) works by default with the immediate manager (the manager is the approver).
Im confused with this.. Is this true ? If yes, What is then the purpose of Assign Agents ?

This is my understanding...but do check what the 'Gurus' have to say.
It is not just assign agents. It is "assign agents to tasks".Meaning,to approve the shopping cart--you need to assign an agent in the form of a role,user etc.
By defualt,it'll go to your managers inbox--default because the task of approving your shopping cart has already been assigned(assign tasks to agents) to your manager.Does it make sense?
On the same lines--i have two questions:
-Can we assign more than one task to the agent??Say in Diego's case(i-step approval),how many and which tasks can we assign to the agent?
-Some tasks are defined general and some tasks are background and the remaining tasks have nothing defined.Why?What is the difference between general and background tasks?

We have a SharePoint Enterprise 2013 system at RTM level. We've installed Workflow Manager 1.0 by following the steps at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj658588.aspx. For the final step of Validating the Installation we created a simple list-level workflow and verified that the workflow
is invoked successfully. This is working successfully, but only for a single user. If other users in the same site collection try to invoke the workflow on this same list we get the ULS Log Error:

I am facing issue with work flow where Workflow goes to Suspend mode.
I am facing an issue with SP2013 Custom Workflow developed using Visual Studio 2012.
Objective of the Custom workflow: User fills the form and submit, list get updated and workflow will initiate and go for the process.
Issue: After the deployment of WF, for first time when user is filling the form and submit, list is getting updated. But the Workflow Goes to "Suspend" mode. (
This Custom Workflow has a configuration file where we are providing other details including ID of Impersonator (farm is running under Claim Based Authentication).
Work flow works fine once when the Impersonator initiate the workflow (Fill the form and submit for approval) and everything works fine after that.
Following steps are already performed
1.Make sure User profile synchronization is started.
2.Make sure the user is not the SharePoint system user.
3.Make sure the user by whom you are logged is available in User Profile list.
4.Step full synchronization of User Profile Application.
From the ULS logs it seems the user's security token from the STS service and User profile service is not being issued.
Appreciate any thoughts or solution.

If you are at version 9.5.5 that was the end of the line for Acrobat 9.x. You are correct that Acrobat 9 is no longer supported. Adobe is only supporting Acrobat X and Acrobat XI at this time.

I have an original IPAD, which I am beginning to call "Planned Obselescence" I am constantly notified when opening Numbers and Pages that I have an update. However, when I try to update it wil not allow it. It tells me to go to ITunes, which I have done, and still it will not download it, saying that my IPAD is not compatible. All of this if fine if Apple wishes to do things this way, but I just want to stop being notified every time to update it, if I am not going to be allowed to do so.

The updates for Numbers and Pages are perfectly compatible with the iPad 1. I'm not sure what you are doing; perhaps a better explanation of what you are seeing is needed. -

New outlook install not showing all email histories for some users

I recently installed outlook 2013 on a windows 8 machine connected to exchange. I noticed it is not showing all the email histories for a particular user. Is there an index that needs to be rebuilt or something? Some users it shows a

Do you mean only one particular user couldn't view all messages from Outlook?

If only one user is affected by this problem, you can follow the steps below to check result.
1. Please check if it displays all mails in OWA.
2. And please switch between Outlook cached mode and online mode to check result.
If some users are affected, please check database index status.

ESS Team Calendar comming as Table for some users
Hi,
When the users navigate to ESS -> working Time -> Leave request -> Team calendar
Then for some users it coming as Table, while for other it is coming as proper chart(graphics).
We want the it as chart(graph) for all users.
Any suggestions?
_vishalIt seems that accessibility switch is on for the users for which the chart is not coming properly. In the UserAdministration Search for the user for which the chart is not coming properly and uncheck the accessibility flag.

Unsubscribing but still get email notices
I asked a question on this discussion board a couple of days ago and got my question answered. Thanks. However, I now continue to get email messages for every new thread. I've gone to My Subscriptions and it doesn't show I'm subscribed to this forum, but I continue to receive constant emails.
I've tried to resubscribe and then cancel, but the email continue to come. Even by selecting "weekly email" under My Settings, I continue to get email as threads are posted. Please help!Hi Michael

User in Outlook gets prompted with login details during high CPU usage in HT-CAS server ?

I got the VMware virtual machine running Exchange Server 2010 SP2 (I know I'll upgrade that soon) as follows:
PRODHT-CAS01 (HT-CAS Server NLB node 1)
PRODHT-CAS02 (HT-CAS Server NLB node 2)
PRODMBX01 (Stand alone Mailbox Server 1) no DAG
PRODMBX02 (Stand alone Mailbox Server 2) no DAG
I'm having a problem with the Outlook 2010 in my company where
all in a sudden it is prompting for a password when the user open up their outlook first thing in the morning.
Some of the users are able to resolve the issue by retype the AD login & password but some are not able to ?
WHen testing using Outlook Web Access everything working fine with no issue,
but for some users who cannot get past Outlook prompt, even after resetting the password, the problem still exist.
I also noticed that the PRODHT-CAS01 cpu is running at 100% during the problem ?Hi,
According to your posting, I noticed that the Microsoft Exchange RPC Client Access service process consumes excessive CPU on Client Access servers.
It is a known issue in Exchange 2010 SP2. Please update your Exchange server with the latest patches and service packs to have a try. Additionally, the following KB descripted the similar issue with yours. For your reference:
