Some Vista users are stuck in Basic Interface

I have a couple of Vista users that are stuck in the basic interface. Deleting the cookies and re-starting IE8 does not fix the problem they are brought directly to the basic login screen "the screen you get to if you have basic interface selected and click on login without the username and password" no settings button available.

IE8 isn't supported with GW 7, and isn't planned to be AFAIK. You MIGHT
be able to fix it by altering your web server to feed the compatibility
mode headers. Search the forums for more.

Some external Users are getting Duplicate Emails from our domain. I have Exchange 2013 and is properly configured. A user reported me that, I sent one email to the other domain's user, and it was delivered twice after 1 or 2 hours. I checked the Message

Maybe some hidden rules cause this, I suggest use MFCMapi tool to double check whether there is any hidden rules exist.

PO Receipts are stuck in RCV Interface tables with Status as LC_PENDING

Hi All,
I need urgent help in fixing the following issue in Purchasing. We are on R12 and we have LCM integration implemented with Purchasing.
Right now PO receipts are getting stuck into RCV_HEADERS_INTERFACE and RCV_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE tables with PROCESSING_STATUS_CODE as LC_PENDING and TRANSACTION_STATUS_CODE as PENDING after running the Receiving Transaction Processor (RTP).
I understand that this means the receiving is not yet complete, and record is pending for Landed Cost integration, you must have done receipt in LCM (Landed Cost Management) enabled inventory organization.
I have also gone through the Metalink "EBS LCM : How To Diagnose Issues With Landed Cost Management In Procure To Pay Cycle[Article ID 860747.1]"; but could not make out what could be the possible fix to resolve this issue.
And also how to process these PO receipts by running Receiving Transaction Processor.
Any help or guidance is appreciable. Need to resolve these urgently as lot of transactions are stuck and our year ending is close by.

Groupwise Webaccess Basic Interface via NAM (Access Manager)

Hi,
I have just setup Groupwise as a protected resource behind NAM (Access Manager), and it works great. The only issue is that I did not take account for the mobile users using the webaccess basic interface. What I think is a possible solution is to have a different URL for the basic interface along the lines of http://portal.website.com/gwbasic, but what I need to do is to be able to get webaccess at the backend to open in basic interface mode from NAM. Can anyone please give me some clues of what needs to be passed in the headers to get Webaccess to render the basic interface?

Yeah I flipped a coin whether to post it here or in the NAM forum...I don't normally like to multi-post, but I think I will make an exception is this case as it concerns both products...I've been trying to capture the post from the webacc login screen to see if I can fool it without much success so far....Need to do SSO as their are quite a few line of business apps that are being NAM'ed. Itunes cannot run because some required files are missing...vista 64 bit OS

I'm running on a Vista 64 bit HP computer, and I have been trying to download itunes for the past couple days and all it says is Itunes cannot run because some required files are missing please reinstall itunes...I have no idea what to do...i have looked around the forums for information and I guess I'm not the only one having issues using a 64 bit OS. Btw the 64 bit Itunes won't work either. It does the same exact thing...

I'd like to check for malware with that message, Nico. (With modern versions of iTunes, if files really were missing, iTunes would be much more likely to do a repair install of itself when you wen't to launch it, rather than returning the old-fashioned files-are-missing message.
Download and install the free version of MalwareBytes AntiMalware. Update your MBAM definitions and run a full scan of the PC. (Takes about 2 hours on My Lenovo.)

SSRS 2012 some users are not able to edit reports in the server

I am install reporting services SharePoint native mode but some users are not able to edit reports on server error is "Application cannot be started contact your application vendor" but this users edit reports on their client machine

Because Report Builder in the Report Manager is a ClickOnce application, the error message means that one or more of the files listed in the application manifest cannot be found on the server, so the application cannot be started. Based on my research, frequently
this means that the application is somehow corrupted, or that the ClickOnce store is corrupted.
To fix this issue, we can try to refer to the following steps:
If Report Builder is corrupted, we can update the Reporting Services to repair this.
Check that the Report Builder application is existing
Open the Report Server folder. By default, the folder is located in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.<X>\Reporting Services\ReportServer\ReportBuilder
Make sure the file "ReportBuilder.application" is existing in the folder mentioned above.
If it is existing, please use the following URL to access the Report Builder directly:
http://<server>/ReportServer/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder.application
And this issue can also be caused by browser. Because not all report functionality is supported by all browsers in Reporting Services. So please use IE browser to start Report Builder to try it again.

Can it be possible to disable outlook anywhere for some few users who are working from home ?

One of my customer wants to disable outlook anywhere for some of the users who are working from home.They have exchange server 2013 in their premises and also have outlook 2010/2013 on their clients machine.Please advice?

In Exchange 2013, all Outlook connectivity (Internal and External) are using Outlook Anywhere anyways. It is not recommended to use the following command to disable Outlook Anywhere for a specific user:
Set-CASMailbox UserA -MAPIBlockOutlookRpcHttp $True
If you disable it, the UserA would not be able to access the mailbox from both Internal Outlook client (Office) and external Outlook client (Home).
For your requirement about disable Outlook anywhere for some few users instead of all external users, there seems to be no method to achieve it directly in Exchange server. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Some users are not synced with dirsync

i have installed the dirsync tool to sync my on-premises AD with office 365, i have some users located in one OU some of them are synced and the others not, the strange thing when i move the users to another OU they sync.

Why are some form users stalling on upload or getting an error?

Some of my form users are reporting the following issues...
"I've tried several times to submit the form below to you per your request, but I either get an error message - or the system spins in upload mode for over an hour."

Sorry you're having a problem.
Can you please send me ([email protected]) the form url so we can investigate the problem.
Also, can you ask form users:
- clear browser cache and try to submit again
- try to use different browser to see if the problem browser specific
Please let me know if the above steps helped or not. If you still the problem, can you provide screenshot of the error.
I don't think that Flash would matter in this case, we only use Flash on authoring side (to design forms). On fillable side (during sumbit) we use HTML.

When I open emails with PDFs I click on the attachment (doing this all on my iPad) it gives me the option to "open in iBooks", I accept then after that the document is sucked into my iPad but I can't do anything with the PDF after that. Where is the actual file on my iPad? Why can't I email or send these PDFs to my cloud (Dropbox)?
It's like once they go into iBooks they're stuck forever.

I wanted to download all upgrades and now the apps for which upgrades were available are stuck. The download never completes so we can neither use the app or remove it. What should i do ?

Try any or all of these suggestions. They have worked for others in the past, but YMMV.
1. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
2. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
3. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
4. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
5. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
6. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

All external users are missing in Shared services.

We are on Hyperion System 11.1.2.. Today all of a sudden in production users are not able to log in. So logged in as admin (native user) to see whats going on. Surprised to see that all the groups are empty and all the users are removed from all groups. So when tried to add back its unable to find the external users.
So some thing is wrong with external users.
Any suggestions on how to fix or any one experienced similar issues?

Got this same error in Shared Services 11.1.1.3 Was due to an Active Directory Domain Controller being decommissioned Here is a fix you might try, It basically refreshes your user database connection
Log into Shared Services
Click on “Administration” on the “Shared Services” toolbar
Click “Configure User Directories
Check the Radio button next to “Active Directory” (or the db your are experiencing the error) and then click “Edit”
The next screen displays the connection info for “Active Directory”(or the db your are experiencing the error), nothing to change here, just click “Finish” and the connection refresh should start
Re-start All Services
Verify that you can now look up an external user without error

Question for iPod Touch/Windows Vista Users

Has any other Vista users out there had any problems syncing?
As long as I don't sync large amounts of data, it works fine...but when I sync a lot of songs at once, or just 1 full length movie, I get playback problems. Some songs will skip and stutter, but that can usually be fixed by recopying the songs individually. Movies (even ones downloaded from iTunes) will not play all the way through. They will either crash and take me back to the videos menu, or they will reset the iPod Touch. Because movies are so large, simply resyncing them will not solve the problem.
I have tried resetting and restoring the iPod Touch, and reinstalling iTunes, and nothing has corrected this problem. I don't think it is a problem with the iPod Touch, because this doesn't happen when I sync using a friend's Windows XP computer.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

I have the exact same problem - point for point, my iPod touch is doing exactly as you described. I have tried all sorts of things, but to no avail.
You added a new USB card to your machine, and that has solved the problem? May I ask if you still use your original 'onboard' USB for all of your other peripherals, leaving the new USB card for just your iPod? perhaps it was one of your other peripherals that was causing the problem. Just a thought, but I am certainly glad to hear that the problem is solvable. USB cards aren't very expensive, perhaps I should go invest in one to see if it solves the problem for me too.

After Looking into the forums many days I had a small conclusion about forums,
SAP Forums are better place I have seen for getting a goo dhelp & Knowledge...
Why can't we make it a BEST Place.
This is just a small doubt which I would like to clear myself first,
I have seen many users In the forums asking for a Basic Questions
When cleared, But still they want to have a Spoon feeding with a Sample Code.
When Sample Code Given they will provide the original code and requests for Modifications.
These always looks to me as crazy.
I have seen somelong time agin by moderators posting that In SCN there will be no SPOON FEEDING.
I am not sure whether if still this Rule AVAILABLE or NOT.
Ok if the task is really difficult let them ask again and again,
And it was not replied, let them repost, I agree with them.
And How about a User Registered in SDN very long back and asking for a silly question in below thread,

According to me It's not the Requestor to see Rules & Requlations before posting the threads,
But its responsibilty for the Contributing person to see th Rules & Requlations before replying the threads,
If we follow the rules and stand on a single word or rule or anything there will be Good Result.
Major Problem is in US not anyone else.
Example Some one saying search in the forum,,, then please no replies after that...
But we are very pity hearted again we post the solution,,,
But it is not at all enough(for cintribtor's)... they will copy the solution and post again by slight Modifications,
And Some users are having 500,600,700,800 Posts with 0 points, registered long long back.
They are completly dependent on forums,,, As they goto office and as they eat, The same they open forums and ask Queries...
They will never realize what they are doing,, and we will never let them improve better...
Finally Lets Discuss About this and Correct & Suggest me if I am wrong,

First tell me a little something about my self...
After completion of my certification(as a fresher) I was down the streets hunting the job,
with the insufficient knowledge and being a non-experienced person, I never got one.
And mean while when I got my "S-UserID", I used to be proud, To say frankly, I registerd in SDN & SAP all at a time, without even knowing what I can do there..,
When I got a job afterwords I was doing the job and never seen SDN page for many months,
when I came to know that of we have doubts we can post at SDN. then started requesting help,
I posted only a little, I didnot got the proper response. on that day I decided,
still there are some places where we cannot get help on time and there will be people waiting to get help,
Why cant I put some of my efforts to help others.
Then I searched some topic by Topic in SDN topic by Topic I used to read threads just for knowledge.
when I feel my self comfort for contributing, I started contibuting...!
If you haven't read it, take a look first, so you can understand where things are now.
I dont know where things are now. But these in this thread I mentioned clearly what I seen from the day I started contributing.
I searched with the terms of 'Rules for replying', The results are not as I expected, and this link has subject as
"O SDN, where art thou?" So it dosent hit my in the list.
Like everybody until a certain stage I am also rushing for points.
But I most cases I never tried to copy paste answers. If I done some then that is just to point it myself some day,
I have no hopes or no intrest on the points...! This was discussed with Rob & Matt, at my inital contribution where my points are 36.
From that day till date I have changed a lot to myself.
Everyone cannot change like me because they are not like me & And I dont even expect that...!
I will be online almost 6-8Hrs a day, Not even getting intrest to see the forums just because of the co-contributors.
My only point is I am just requesting to a co-contributor,
Clearly In a example : Lets say contributor has replied to a thread, and if you know that is a correct solution,
please dont reply any more, If you have a better solution than that, then only reply,
Even there is one reply in the thread not a matter, if correct answer leave that query.
If still error persists, Show up with your Idea's...
Dont let down the contributor, by copying his reply and editing and pasting(edit only if incorrect).
I am just looking for this one exactly to circulate between ourselfs.
For this we a little support from moderators to circulate(may be as a rule or may be as a mail to them)
You may say again how many mails we have to send, It dosent matter, one mail to one person one time,
and +ve factors will show up definetly.
A real contributor always understand what I am talking about, but some one who hunts for points will never.
I am really sorry if I am troubling with my doubts & requests,
