Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
    * Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
    * Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    * Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

  • Sharepoint Report is taking very long time to load

SharePoint(2010) Report is taking very long time to load and display in first attempt but from the next attempt it loads and display result normally. It's urgent..please help how to troubleshoot ...

    Hi Kunal,
is there multiple report viewer webpart on page? if so then SharePoint doesn't do well with multiple report viewer web parts. if possible then merge the reports in one.
Try to implement SSRS caching/ Database snapshots for reporting services, it will help you to improve the performance:

  • Reports taking unusually long time to load

    Gurus,
I am using BO 4.1 SP1. I am trying to open a report  on BI launchpad. But it is taking very long time to load. This occurs even when i am trying to access the last instance. Window remains in the following state.
I checked load on the server. But tha'ts fine. What could be the issue?

    Hi,
Ok, that's strange because the connection server doesn't actually handle data processing.
(that would typically be the WebiProcServer or DSL_Bridge or DF service (depending on workflow))
My advice would be to turn off 'refresh on open',  change viewer technology to "web view" (as opposed to Java rich internet client)  and start investigating again from that baseline.
Also, this might be indicative of a BIplatform sizing or APS configuration issue. another option: have you upped your memory allocation to the Tomcat config?
    Regards,
    H

If it's taking awhile to load it could be due to slow network speed or interference. It's around 600MB. If on ethernet, some have reported issues, try wifi.

  • OEM Grid Control taking a long time to load tablespace information

We use OEM Grid control to monitor many dev/tst/prd databases. OEM is taking a long time to load the tablespace page information on one of our RAC databases (only one all other dbs ok). I have tried going to 1 instance in the environment and it still takes a long time to load the information about all tablespaces in this database. OEM Path is
Cluster: crs > Cluster Database: sid > Database Instance: sid_instance1 > Tablespaces
This is a development environment and it is not a very busy database at this time. Anyone else encounter an issue like this with OEM?
Thanks in advance for any information

Purge your recyclebin. I had the same problem on one of our databases and realised that the recyclebin was very large. OEM uses the space from the recyclebin as well in order to load tablespace and datafile information.
    SQL> purge dba_recycebin;
    Worked for me.
    Regards,Thanks,
    It worked perfectly !
It used to take 4 minutes to view my tablespaces in OEM !!! Now I have sub second response time !
Still find it strange that the size of the recyclebin would have such an effect when viewing tablespace info in OEM. By the way it also sped up the viewing of datafiles in OEM.

  • In some web pages, pdf files are downloaded in very small kb and not opening despite I have Adobe reader, Pro and plug in

I have Firefox 3.6.6, downgraded from higher versions since I have this problem below.
At some web pages (mostly professional academic sites like Oxford Journals), when I am clicking to get pdf of an article, Firefox start downloading ridiculously small size and cannot open it as it gives the message "Acrobat could not open 'filename.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged ..."
I know the file is not damaged, because I can open them in explorer. And some websites are also working properly in Firefox. I do not care if it opens in firefox or pops up separately.
I have reloaded Acrobat and Firefox but problem continues.

hello vijayabhaskarv, that sounds as if you're using the pdf viewer built into firefox per default, which might not work in all situations. please see the following article in order to select a different plugin to render pdf files: [[How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer]]

  • FF 6.0.2 still having problems with pages taking a long time to load.

Seems that news websites take a long time to load properly
skynews.com kirotv.com are two I use everyday. First time I load the pages, FF seems to have a problem, when I go back to them later, all seems to load fast. This problem happens any time of day.

Did you make any drastic changes to your PC before upgrading to 6.0.1? If not maybe you could do a clean install of Firefox then see what happens. Remember to save your bookmarks, settings, etc. first before uninstallling.

  • Quicktimes taking very long time to load-Big Q appears instead.

When posting ipod (small) quicktimes to my .mac account (4 per page), the site is taking a really long time to load-a large Q appears instead of the usual Quicktime video frame for a few minutes. They eventually load, but it takes a long time. I've used this program and these files for a year without incident, and now there is this huge delay for my clients. The files aren't very big 2MB-20MB.
Maybe it's my Safari or Firefox acting up?
Here's the site if anyone is able to have a quick look and tell me if it loads quickly on their machine:
    http://web.mac.com/chopperfilms/iWeb/Steve%20Gaskin/Projects%201.html
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

To wait for 27MB to load is too big or rather long wait for your audience/visitor. Set poster frames for all and use movie ref to load only the one the visitor chooses so they don't get the letter 'Q' and use 'fast start' so loading long or big files feels like less waiting. Were poster frames and movie refs getting done automatically by iWeb before?
I am actually getting the letter 'Q' with a question mark in it 60/40 percent of the time in a QuickTime I posted which I am trying to figure how to get rid of.

  • Edge Animate .oam files taking a long time to load or not loading at all?

    http://pierosalardi.businesscatalyst.com
Is there a way to correct this? I have exported this Muse Site and uploaded into my server and the same thing is happening: http://pierosalardi.com/animate/ Its taking to much time to load the .oam files and sometimes they do not load at all.
This is a screen shot after reseting Safari and going to the site. If you see, there is no logo on the up right hand corner, or the icons at the bottom of the page
This is another screenshot after reloading the site. Some how all the .oam files came together but only after reloading the site.
Is there a way to correct this? I saw in another post that needed to replace the iFrame on the Muse html file and replace it with the html code generated by Edge.
    Couldn't get it to work.

    Hey Piero,
Love your site! I'm not seeing the loading issue, but I'm also on a fast connection so that might be it.
Took a look at the source - it looks like each button is it's own individual OAM file, which increases your load time due to the extra requests the browser has to make to load everything. Have you tried consolidating the left and right button groups into two Animate projects instead of having a seperate one for each button? This may solve your loading problems.
You can copy and paste between projects inside of Animate so aggregating the buttons into one file should be pretty snappy.

  • Particular webpages taking a long time to load

Around 80% of the time webpages are loading fine but I'm experiencing frequent problems with a number if sites (outlook.com, google etc.) where the webpage won't load or it will take a long time to load. I've tried loading the pages on IE, Firefox and Chrome, I've cleared the cache on each broswer, cleared my dns cache and the problems still persists. Turning off the Homehub firewall fixed the problem but I don't want to keep the firewall off.
Any suggestions or advice much appreciated.

Try a factory reset of the homehub by pressing a pin into the recess button on the rear for about 20 second. This can often sort out configuration problems.

  • DIAdem taking a long time to load 700MB TDMS file to data portal

I'm trying to load a 700MB TDMS file into DIAdem ,4 channels 10Hz sampling rate over 4 days . When i drag the file into the data portal , diadem freezes up , its on a 2GB machine, file located on the desktop, not running any other programs and it went 50min without being able to load before i made it quit. seems to work fine on smaller files though . Was wondering if this sounds normal and if anyone knows a way around it.

    Thanks for all your input.
YongqinYe and Brad : I've tried defragmenting but this also seems to be taking a  long time (in excess of ) on 2 different machines. The index file is 300MB, so about 75% of the *.tdms,
Otmar:  i also tried registry loading the data but this still took a long time  on this particular file although it worked great on smaller files (5MB).
Brad : the file does not open in the labVIEW TDMS viewer  although i'm able to view it in chunks of 65000 using the TDMS importer for excel.
Stefan: the file does have explicit time stamp channel .
Any extra help would be appreciated but the way I'm thinking of doing it now is to use much longer buffer size (from only 6 to a few hundred) when collecting the data to decrease the level of fragmentation.

  • Ichat taking a long time to load

When I was trying to load ichat the other day it took forever to load. Also the computer made a thud system sound. What was the sound all about? Also what is up with the long load time? I was using a wireless connection at the time. Please Help.

    Hi David,
It sounds like your computer was taking a long time to read the app from the Hardrive.
The "Thud" does not sound good to pardon the pun.
Is everything working ok now ?

  • Firefox is taking a long time to open and load my home page, didn't happen while the old version. Also stops responding frequently.

    Hello there,
I have been a loyal user of Firefox since 2005 and have never had and issue with this browser. It has been my top choice when it comes to using it in my devices along with suggesting to other people. The problem I have recently began to experience happened after updating to the newer version...4 or 5, not sure which. My Adobe Flash player is up to date and have no add-ons running that are not part of the default browser.
When I click the icon it takes a long time for the window to show up and a good minute before the homepage shows up and is functional to use. I never had this issues with previous versions so I am assuming there might be some bug causing this particular problem. Also, when I am playing games Firefox decided to stop responding and I have to force quit so my games don't suddenly slow down. I am running Mac OS X 10.6.7; I also tested opening Safari and it opened and loaded the homepage is about 3 seconds, I don't wanna have to switch unless I have to. Any help is appreciated, thanks. :)

    Hi Donekes,
First off I need a little more information to help with troubleshooting.  You say that an error occurs when you "try to re-open the same problem app before the old session completely exits".  Does the error have an error code or dialog display?  It may also be possible to receive an error log.  Here is a knowledge base that explains how to retrieve error logs.

If you are able to get that information then please post.  Have a good day.

  • Firefox is taking a long time to open the first time I click on it and also a dialouge box comes up stating firefox is already running, but is not responding, you must close existing firefox process? What is going on?

After I start my computer in the morning, I go to my email, then I click on firefox, with google as my homepage, it takes a long time for firefox to show up on the computer. It says it is connecting, then when I close firefox, and go to reopen it again, a dialog box opens up that says firefox is already running and I must close existing firefox process first. I have not run into this problem before.

    * The first time you start up any application after turning on your computer is called a cold start, which is why Firefox takes a while to load right away. (I've noticed that future versions of Firefox start up faster on a cold start then Firefox 5.0.1.) Also, a lower amount of RAM could be slowing its start-up down since Firefox is kind of memory hungry.
    * As for the second part of your question, press ctrl,Alt, and the delete keys on your keyboard. The Windows Task Manager should start. Go to the processes tab and look for 'firefox.exe'. Right click on the firefox.exe and click 'End Process'. Hit Yes and wait for a minute.
    * Then opening Firefox again.
    Hopefully this helped somewhat!
