Some Websites do not display correctly (i.e. Facebook & Mozilla Page)

Recently when I visit Facebook and the Mozilla Page on my Desktop Computer (I am writing this on my laptop because this website does not function on my PC) using Firefox, the pages do not display correctly. Instead of the Facebook page appearing in it's usual blue-coloured format it shows as lines of text (not HTML code, but just lines of text, such as "Connect with friends..." in a different font than it should, its all black and white, no colour). Also the top of the screen has written "Facebook Logo" in blue underlined italics instead of the actual logo.
Does anyone know what may be causing this problem? If so, could you provide me with a solution? I have already tried several support topics (i.e. clearing cache, cookies etc.) but this does not help.
Please tell me if you require more detail or wish for me to elaborate/describe my issue in an alternate way.
Thank you very much.

  • Some websites do not display properly or function

    Using Firefox v29.0.1; running Win 7 Pro 64-bit version.
    Some websites do not display properly - as if Firefox is not finding the CSS (Facebook for one).
    Also, on Craig's List, I can't click on any of the links including the contact/reply button.
    Wanted to attach screenshots but see no place to do so.
    Thanks,

    Looks like something in my history must have been causing it.
    That's the only step I needed to go through and seems as though everything has cleared up - for now.
    Thanks Phillipp for your help!

  • [SOLVED] Some Xfce themes not displaying correctly

    When I try to use certain themes (e.g., anything that requires Murrine), it does not display correctly, instead looking more like the default GTK theme:

    How do I fix this?

    The themes you're having problems with probably use options that the current stable version of the Murrine engine can't handle. Try installing gtk-engine-murrine-git from AUR...I suspect that will fix the problem.

  • Website Icons not displaying Correctly on FF8.0

    Dear Support,
    After upgrading to the latest FF8.0, I noticed that some of the bookmarked websites in my bookmark toolbar don't display their icons correctly.
    for e.g.: I have Cisco.com at bookmark toolbar. Instead of displaying Cisco's logo next to the website name, I'm getting an empty dashed square.
    Kindly advise

  • Some XML customizing not displayed correctly in graphic in PDF form

    Hello,
    we have following problem: We want to create a read-only PDF with an integrated graphic with analytical data.
    The PDF form is created with SFP. Data is extracted and the graphic rendered with the class CL_IGS_CHART_ENGINE.
    We used SAP chart designer and transformed the XML into our string.
    The graphic is displayed in our PDF, but some customizing settings in our XML are neglected, especially the font type, her only courier is displayed. Also some manual positions of legends don't work.
    When I display the chart in the SAP GUI using cl_gui_chart_engine everything works fine, so  I assume that the XML and the  transformation is correct.
    So where is the problem: Mime type? codepage? printing job?
    Thanks and Regards
    Andreas

    Hello,
    I would like to know what type of scenario do you use. Is that WD form? Or offline form?
    Based on the type, you may find your solution here:
    When you need to send a picture into the offline form: another image question - using Regular ABAP not web dynpro and Display a logo dynamically in adobe form
    For the WD form: /people/bhawanidutt.dabral/blog/2007/11/15/how-to133-integrate-adobe-form-on-webdynpro-for-abap-and-deploy-it-on-portal
    What MIME type (picture type) has your generated picture? JPG for example is ok, but for exotic types please check in your LCD (place Image on the layout and open the dialog for picture assignment, you can see the allowed picture types in there).
    Regards, Otto
    p.s.: What is the mentioned XML customizing? XML is the form of the femplate, but I have never customized anything IN THERE. Did you change the XML source manually? Or what type of changes are not managed correctly?

  • Urls are not coming in as links in sent emails; certain websites are not displaying correctly

    When I send an email with a url/link, it does not come in to the recipient as a link.
    Went to a website (bjs.com), which was not displaying images and had no functionality.
    These things worked in IE8 so it's a Firefox problem.

    That is probably Hotspot Shield.

  • Some texts do not display correctly (appear as squares)

    Since I got my Z10 some of the texts everywhere else on the phone do not display properly. They appear as squares. Any help?
    See the image attached below for more details.

    You would have to contact the website developers and get them to check their site on mobile devices and update the code where necessary.
    Looking at the source code of that page, it looks like very old, quite convoluted and rather inefficient JavaScript that powers the menu.
    There's certainly no reason why a web developer couldn't make such a menu compatible with touch screen mobile devices. Plenty of similar menus work just fine.
    I guess whoever developed it hasn't checked it on modern web browsers and mobile devices for some time.

  • Since downloading OSX 10.7, half the websites do not display correctly in firefox 5.0, any one else having this issue?

    The websites look like they are formatted for a mobile device, but changing the display between mobile and full does not correct the problem. Perhaps a compatibility issue with the new OS?

    Firefox 5.0.1 was released last week to fix some issues with Lion.

  • Some CSS Links not displaying correctly

    Hi folks,
    I've been building a new site, but am having problems with some of the CSS links.
    The normal links are working fine.
    However, I've created a class that should display some of the links in bold - but it doesn't work!
    This is the CSS:
    .bold-larger a:link {
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #4E8AD2;
    font-size: 16px;
    .bold-larger a:visited {
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #4E8AD2;
    font-size: 16px;
    .bold-larger a:hover {
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #F47C01;
    font-size: 16px;
    text-decoration: none;
    .bold-larger a:active {
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #4E8AD2;
    font-size: 16px;
    And this is the code as it appears on the page:
    <span class="bold-larger">You can buy cool and interesting decorations and accessories from <a href="http://www.test.com">PartyBox</a>.</span></p>
    It doesn't display them in bold though!
    The test page is here:
    http://www.iainmoran.com/40/40th-birthday-gift-ideas.html
    Any idea why this might not be working please? I'm sure it's very simple, but I can't seem to work what it is!
    Many thanks,
    Iain.

    Thank you both so much for your quick replies!
    I'm pleased to say the links are now working correctly, so no more tearing my hair out is required!
    Thanks again,
    Iain.

  • *some* websites do not display in iphone friendly format

    Foxnews.com, facebook.com, and yahoo.com all recognize my iphone and display accordingly. Baylorbears.com does not.
    -My first iphone baylorbears.com would display the same as the others, in an iphone friendly format.

    Any ideas on settings on my phone that I could toggle? Or does this sound like a website error?

    This is controlled by the website, and the specific URL you entered in Safari.

    Firefox will show the link if nothing is blocking it...
    In case an ad blocker, script blocker, or another extension is involved, could you test the page in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
    You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    * Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
    After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
    Any difference?

  • Fonts on Websites are not displaying correctly

    I am using FF 16.0.2 with all the default settings. When I go to certain websites, it displays with non-readable characters, almost like it isn't recognizing the page encoding. I checked and my encoding settings are set to Unicode (UTF-8). Screenshots of what I see are at: http://davidpetersen.smugmug.com/Computers/FF-Support/26331201_Bx6tqM
    There are a number of websites that don't display properly but I have included three in the screenshots:
    http://www.dlife.com
    http://www.twitpic.com
    http://www.smugmug.com
    These sites display fine in other browsers.
    Thanks in advance.

    Sounds that you have a problem with a corrupted font.<br />
    That can be a Helvetica or Arial font: "Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,sans-serif,Arial;
    You can do a font test to see if you can identify corrupted font(s).
    *http://browserspy.dk/fonts-flash.php?detail=1
    You can try different default fonts and temporarily disable website fonts to test the selected default font.

  • Some websites do not display properly. I am getting overlapping of menu's. This does not happen with IE. What am I doing wrong?

    I log on to the same wesite on Mozilla and IE. On mozilla the left hand menu overlaps one over the other but the same does not occur with IE, I ask this as I prefer mozilla. Do I need to change any configuration setting. I have a Dell Studio Laptop which is only about 5 months old. Unfortunately I cant post the url because it needs a password to get into the site.

    Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: <b>View > Zoom > Reset</b> (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)<br />
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Zoom_text_of_web_pages
    If you increased the minimum font size then try the default setting 'none' as a high value can cause issues like you described.
    * Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
    * Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

  • Some fonts are not displayed correctly

    We are developing an application where in the font for the whole application can be changed from a particular font dialog.the problem is that although it works fine for majority of the fonts, rectangular boxes are displayed for Impact, Marlett, Symbol, Webdings, wingdings font.
    i am doing a
    GraphicsEnvironment ge =GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment(); for getting the fonts and displaying it in a JList.Is there any way of suppressing these fonts from being displayed to the user ?

    Yes these fonts have one feature - see http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4279855.html
    so you can check them by next way :
         GraphicsEnvironment ge = GraphicsEnvironment.
    getLocalGraphicsEnvironment();
         Font[] fonts = null;
         if (ge != null) {
              fonts = ge.getAllFonts();
         for (int i=0; i < fonts.length; i++) {
              fonts.canDisplay('a');
