Some websites tell me that Silverlight needs my permission to work, how do I give this permission?

I have recently connected to a couple of websites and am told that Silverlight needs my permission to run. I am new to this and don't know how to give this permission. My computer is on XP and the Silverlight version installed is 5(5.1.30514.0)

Which browser are you using? This problem may be caused by browser setting. The following are the solution for the browsers

Those are only for newer Mac OS X versions; you need to upgrade the computer's OS or switch browsers.

You need to provide more info. What is your hardware? Was there any other Adobe software on your system? Those sorts of things can make a huge difference. You may have a technical issue, you may simply have a licensing problem from a previous version...

Your i-device was not designed to be a reliable unique storage for your media. It is not a backup device and everything is structured around you maintaining your media on a computer which is itself backed up. Sync transfer is one way, computer to device, matching the device content to the content on the computer. If the computer has nothing on it, the device is set to match the computer's content -- nothing.The exception is purchased content.

It is not worth it. Java is insecure until you get to 10.5.8. Read this tip on disabling Java, and why.

Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac". Write down what it says about "version"and report that here. Now continue to "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
If you have a PPC Mac you cannot sync your idevice without a newer computer. See the end of this post for options.
If it says you have an Intel Mac you can upgrade to Snow Leopard, but check system requirements first:

You're running an older version of Pages, perhaps in a folder called "iWork '09" in the Applications folder, or else on your Desktop. Quit it and launch the one at the top level of Applications.
