somebody stole my ipod touch can i track it from muy computer????

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Somebody stole my ipod touch 4G and i dont have the apps "found my ipod" how can i know where is my ipod? :( please help!

You do not need any app.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
    - Apple will do nothing

  • If someone stole your ipod touch can u get a replacement if it hasnt been found

hi someone stole my ipod and im wondering if apple would give me a replacement ... if i dont find my old one ... its a white one ... ive had it since christmas .....  and if i do get a replacement can i get my old belongings back from my stolen one ?

Apple does not replace stolen items, (is there a company that does replace their stolen products?) you would have to purchase a replacement. It may be covered under homeowners insurance but the deductible would probably not make it worth pursuing.

  • My ipod touch can't sync apps from previous ipod touch

recently I bought a new ipod touch gen 4 32 gb and gave my daughter my old 4th gen 8 gb touch. also I got a new desktop tower and transferred all music and apps to an external drive so I could save everything in tiunes. when I went to treansferr everything to the new ipod touch I could transferr the music off the external and even though the apps were in the new tower and imported to itunes, when I tried to drag and drop them them would be seen in the touch but when seen in on the pc. I bought new ones to see if I could drag and drop and the new ones weren't even on the the ipod touch. I did a restore and tried again but the same thing happen. Do I have to return this and get another one. Can anyone really help me. Thanks

  • Someone stole my iPod Nano, can they use it on their computer?

Will my iTunes account just pop-up & my music appear on their computer?

No, their computer won't be authorized with your itunes store account details.
Bummer, I had an ipod stolen out of my car a few months back.

  • Touch can not be read from or written to

After upgrading to iTunes 7.7.1 and iPod 2.0, I can not sync at all anymore. I get an error window telling me that my sync failed because my iPod Touch can not be read from or written to. I applied the "5 Rs" troubleshooting tips, to no avail. (5 Rs = restart, reset settings, reset iPod, remove files, restore).
I went to the Genius Bar & they were able to eventually get it to sync, but replaced the unit anyway.
I got home with my new iPod Touch and it had EXACTLY THE SAME problem as my old one did - the "could not read from or write to" my iPod Touch.
I have a new appointment for next week at the Genius Bar.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or know what the fix might be?
I want to try restoring to the iPod 2.0 or prior iTunes software, but can not figure out how to do that.
    All help/suggestions are welcome!
    Heidi

one of the solutions fixed the error on my itouch:
    Symptoms
When using iTunes to sync photos to iPod and iPhone, iTunes creates a folder called iPod Photo Cache in the top level of the folder you selected for your photos. Picking another folder to sync does not erase the previous iPod Photo Cache. Depending on how many photos are being synced, the hard drive could fill up.
    Products Affected
iPhone, iPod with color display, iPod photo, iPod nano, iPod nano (2nd generation), iPod (5th generation), iPod (5th generation Late 2006), iPod touch, iPod classic, iPod nano (3rd generation)
    Resolution
Drag the folder named iPod Photo Cache to the Trash or Recycle Bin.
If you're syncing from an iPhoto `08 album, use these steps to find the iPod Photo Cache:
    1. Go to your Pictures folder (~/Pictures) and locate the iPhoto Library file.
    2. Control-click the iPhoto Library file and choose Show Package Contents from the shortcut menu.
    3. In the iPhoto Library window, locate the iPod Photo Cache folder and drag it to the Trash.
    4. Close the iPhoto Library window.

Okay, so somebody stole my Ipod, 4th generation, and it don't have IOS 7, it has IOS 6.1.4, and apparently I was tracking it  with police officers this morning and when I get home from school (now, 4:26) it appears that it's offline and I can't see the location no more, so my question is... Can they still find out where is it located?

Your carrier might be able to locate it if it's on their network and they are ordered to do so by the police or the courts.  It can't be tracked with Find My iPhone if it's offline.

  • Hey some one stole my ipod touch 5g 3gb i want to see if theres a way i can track it down

hey some one stole my ipod touch 5g 32gb and i want to see if theres a way i can track it down

    NO you cannot
    As I said before,
IF you set up find my ipod on the ipod itself and it is on and it is connected to wi-fi and the thief has not restored it, then you may be able to get an approximate street address using icloud.
Otherwise it cannot be tracked at all.
Report it to the police and change your passwords."

Someone stole my ipod touch and I havent been able to find out who did it. I want to know if i can track it? Get it cut off ? Or Something that will be helpful ?
Please Help Im Really Scared !!!!!!!!

There is not much Apple can do besides denying service to your iPod

  • Some one stole my iPod touch. is there a way I can track it to get it back?

someone stole my Ipod touch. Is there a way to traCK IT and how?

    No.
Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod.  If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number).  If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief.  All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself.  Something as small as an iPod should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

  • Somebody stole my iPod . Is there any way iPod can find where it is or if somebodys been using it?!

somebody stole my iPod and I want to know is there anyway that apple or somebody can locate it or give me some details about who or what's been on it or using it ?? Please that cost me a lot of money and I want it back.

If you had already set up the FindMyiPhone feature and left wifi on and some other conditions are met you maybe able to find/track the iPod.  Otherwise there is nothing you or Apple can/will do.  Sorry.
