Somehow my mac is showing weird symbols on some web pages instead of proper words, it has never happened before until today
somehow my mac is showing this weird symbol (encrypted?) in some of the web page,it has never happened before and i have no odea what's going on ! please help !

Perhaps the lens is dirty. Try cleaning it with a DVD lens cleaning disk, shoot some compressed air into the slot or use a fine microfiber cloth (eyeglasses cleaning cloth) wrapped around a business card and insert it gently into the slot.

it also said a usb cable has been disbaled for sucking up too much power is this my cable? if so what do i do?!
So I am not second guessing too much, tell us where you are in fact plugging it in. I merely mentioned the keyboard USB socket (not even knowing what computer type you have (it helps to put that in your user profile) and maybe you don't even have a keyboard socket) because I (and others) have tried plugging a flash drive into my keyboard's USB and gotten a "too little power" message.

I downloaded several tv shows on my computer and attempted to drag and drop to my iPod touch. I received an error message indicating that there was a problem syncing to my iPod. What steps should I take next? This has never happened before.
Force Quit .
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select the Safari if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Safari will quit.
Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

Someone please help! I do not know how to fix this. It keeps saying my Mobile Device has not been started and I can't get my phone to show up in the iTunes window AT ALL. It will charge while plugged in, but it just won't come up in iTunes.

whenever i try to go on to youtube or Facebook an advert will open a new tab, and when the search comes through there are adverts all over the screen. This only just started happening? What should i do????
You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "VSearch" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:

Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot" or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return. -
My icloud emails arent arriving most of the time and a few days ago my iphone and ipad started showing "Can't Get Mail" box. This has not happened before since I set up the iclud email address with the purchase of my ipad about a month ago.
That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it... -

I would suspect this is a hardware issue. The rollers are probably having issues picking up the relatively smooth thick media. You might have better results be cleaning the paper pickup rollers with a damp paper towel. Also make sure the paper is snugly loaded and the paper guides have been correctly positioned.

After upgrading to Mac OS Lion, even after installing Java manually, some web pages don't download and appear blank whereas Firefox and Opera work. Can someone help?
Might be a third party Safari addon that was compatible with Snow Leopard but not Lion that's preventing pages to load. That add on may not have any effect on the other browsers, just Safari.

Also, if you have Little Snitch or Peer Guardian or anti virus sofware installed on your Mac, that might prevent pages to load also. -
Applecare not showing up on Apple's web page
I enrolled all 3 of my computers in Applecare, however only 2 of the 3 are showing up on Apple's web page. I called and was told that the 1 not showing up was enrolled......just a little concerned.
Any comments?It seems to take a while for the system to update. I had the same problem, but I don't remember how long it took for it to show up. Mine is now in the system, but they have the purchase date wrong. The web page shows 5/12/05 and the purchase was 5/23/05. They do indicate it is an estimated date which is strange. I just noticed my Applecare agreement shows 5/11/05 effective date. I guess I'll call for a correction.

Toggle Airplane mode On and Off.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Check for a carrier settings update. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, a prompt will appear.
Remove the SIM Card and verify that it is a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it is not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Restore the iPhone.

PBS POV video streaming stops when I order actual program to begin. Am up-to-date re PBS, in USA. Never happened before. Problem started when had POV ready to go and Avira Free Mac Security suddenly signalled download available--;"told"it to wait.Deleted Avira but still fails to stream. Well last night after I had got off the phone it had froze up (never happened before) and then it it went blank. I would call it from my house phone and it would ring and vibrate but nothing showed up on the screen. I don't know where to go from here I just need desperate help. Please and thank you!
Try doing a hard reset, Hold the "Home & Power Buttons" down at same time, until you see the Apple Icon appear. Then let go of the buttons.

Cant open up web console after install db 11gr2 and show weird symbols?
i just finished installing oracle database 11gR2. after successful install, i will usually want to open up web console at http://localhost:1158/em..
however if i open up the page i get a weird symbol on the top left. i also cant login to the db using any db management software.(im using toad)
Could anyone help me as to what i should do to fix this?and i would also like to what is the cause of this?
