Somehow the Notes app on my personal iPhone 4 has synced with my workplace Mac Pro. How do I change this?

They do not have the same apple id's. I want to sync notes to my personal computer through icloud - just not my work computer. I will try to delete the account for my work Mac the way you suggest. I just can't figure out how my Mac Pro linked to my personal iPhone. They are separate accounts, separate ids, separate emails, Mac Pro account was set up by the IT guy at work. 1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Go to settings >> iTunes and app stores. Tap on the appleid and change it yours. If you had downloaded any apps using your friend's id then you will need his/her password to update those apps. But you should be able to download any new apps using your id once you've have the change in settings.

You should be able to link your phone number by following the steps in the article below. From your iPhone, sign out of FaceTime and iMessage and then sign back in and it should link. Check in the Start Conversation With and I Can Be Reached at section in iMessage and FaceTime respectively.

iDevices do not sync with a date... they sync with the computer.
If the user has restored the device using an older backup, simply restore it with a more current backup.

Move the content from the old computer to the new computer.
Sync the iPhone via cable to the new computer and enable Wi-Fi syncing.
It should now be possible to sync via Wi-Fi to the new computer.

How can I move notes (in the notes app) from "On My iPhone" account to my "iCloud" account so that they will sync with iCloud and with my computer (and not 1 note at a time either - all at once)?

I used to be able to use iTunes to sync notes between my iPhone and my Mac. With iOS-7 and OS-X 10.8, that is no longer possible. The notes were created on my iPhone in the "On My iPhone" account. My understanding is that in order to synch them, I need to move them to my iCloud account on the iPhone (I'd be glad to hear that this isn't true, ...).
So how do I get my notes (several hundred of them) from my On My iPhone account to my iCloud account?

sorry for the confusion, that response was meant to defend your solution to iamcem (i should have quoted their response when i posted mine). they were saying that changing the region was a bad idea, and that the change should be made in the default weather app. i was explaining to them that although their's was a simple solution, it only worked on the iphone. i was trying to explain why their solution wouldn't work on the ipad, and so why your solution was the best available.
