Someone changed the forward of my iCloud email

I received an email from Apple iCloud notifying me that a forward had been added for my iCloud email account (I understand that we have the option of iCloud.com, me.com, mac.com but I don't even use iCloud.com, I use mac.com). The Apple notification told me how to go to icloud >prefrences > general, which I did...and sure enough, someone had added the forward address. I removed it and - immediately changed my password (numerals, uppercase, lowercase and special character). I sent and email to the forwarding address saying "nice try" - but, this is scary.
Last night I was changing planes in San Francisco and when I turned my iPhone on I got a popup asking if I wanted to connect to xxxx server (a mac), to which I naturally said no. I wonder if this is connected.

What you are seeing is correct according to the following article. You can only access apps purchased in the country you have set your account to:
Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account
After you change the country of your account, you won't see the items you purchased from the previous country’s store in the Purchased section.

I had MobileMe on the iPhone with alias email addresses and I liked how it didn’t attach any “name” to an alias. For example, I had MainUserName, then for aliases I would have [email protected], [email protected], etc. When I sent an email from my iPhone using one of the aliases as the "from" no name would be associated with the alias email address. If it was the MainUserName then it would associate it, e.g. Main User <[email protected]> will show up on the "From" field when I sent an email. But with iCloud on the iPhone (and iPad), it’s Main User <[email protected]>, Main User <[email protected], etc., which I don’t want. If anything it should be Alias 1 <[email protected]> or Alias 2 <[email protected]>. It works differently if I access iCloud through a web browser. If I send an email via iCloud on the web, I can customize and have a different name with each alias, e.g., Tom <[email protected]> or Harry <[email protected]> And the customization carries over to the Mail app on my Mac. That would be ideal if the customization carried over to the iPhone and iPad, but I'd be happy if there was no name association with alias email addresses. Hopefully, there's a solution to the iPhone/iPad situation with iCloud as I don't want the name linked with the main iCloud email address linked with all the different email aliases I have.

To change your iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
To change the ID on your Mac, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, choose Delete for all the prompts (your data will still be in iCloud), then sign back in with the changed ID.

Do you mean selecting the address which by default appears as the 'From' address when composing a message? Mail Preferences>Composing and set 'Send new messages from' to the required address.

Your iCloud and @icloud.com login ID is an Apple ID. Go to http://appleid.apple.com and sign in with the ID you use to sign into iCloud (you can check this by going to http://www.icloud.com and signing in there).
Click 'Password & Security' in the sidebar and you will be able to change the password.
HOWEVER
Before you do this you must turn off 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' if you have it enabled on any of your devices, otherwise you will land yourself in difficulties.

I am trying to find out how to change a change name associated with a iCloud email account.
for example name displayed Robert with example [email protected] The name Robert is wrong I wish to correct it to David.

Just open www.icloud.com, open "Mail", open "Preferences..." (in the lower left corner), then open the "Accounts" tab and here change your "Full Name".

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

When you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

I'm not sure what that means Richard, but I did change the router's IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.5.1- isn't that what you meant in your first post. I know that isn't reflected in my screen capture that I took last night, but I did do that this morning after I read your post.

I tried this- at least to the part about checking the IP address under WAN. I assume you mean the WAN page in the modem setup- nothing looked any different after trying what you suggested, and I'm not really sure where I would be "getting IP in public range" or what that means.
I'm about to give up and just buy a new router to see if I can get the same lack of results with a different one. My ISP maintains that everything is set up correctly on their end and really can't do anything more for me. The Modem works and is set up correctly and they can give tech support for a router.

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.
