  • Need help with imessage and someone else getting my texts.

Yesterday i bought a phone, NOT A IPHONE, a samsung. And i got a brand new number. The number i got belonged to someone else before they changed theyre phone, the Person has an iphone but changed their number. They CHANGED their number, but for some reason they are receiving MY TEXTS (only from my friends with iphones/imessage
) i was able to get  a hold of him and i told him to just turn off his imessage. I read online about that youre supposed to turn off imessage and reset network settings etc. but i did not know at the time i am worried he will sign back into his apple id and get my messages again, or because he turned off imessage and put it back on while my NOW number be erased from his phone? thanks.

Wow...OK...let me see if I can understand that...if I boil all of that down, I think we are at this point.
You still want to send SMS to an email account -- I stand by what I said before; I know of no method that an SMS can be sent to an email. Now, if you are meaning some other kind of "text" or "messages" (there are many many kinds of those), then you will need to clarify exactly what you mean. What I gather from what you've said so far continues to mean "SMS sending to Email".
You do not have BlackBerry Internet Service on your BB plan from your carrier. As such, you will be limited as per this guideline:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/What_do_I_need_a_Data_Plan_for%3F
You may think that BIS is ridiculous, but that is a core function and feature of BB's. Period. Without it, all you have is a phone (IMHO).
    Good luck!

  • How can I stop someone from receiving iMessages on their old disconnected iPhone, w'hich is still active in iMessage, when the number now belongs to someone else with a non apple device!?!

To further clarify my dilemma ....
A friend of mine just got a new phone number on her LG cell phone.
When I try to text her, my messages are going to someone else's iPhone.
The iPhone has been deactivated off the VZ cell network, but they are still using it on WIFI.
They used to have this number on their iPhone, and it's still active in iMessage.
So, when I try to send a text message to my friend on her LG, from my iPhone,
they instead go to this total stranger, cuz they still have that number active in their iMessage account.
    This is a serious issue!!
The only suggestion I get from apple support is to have my friend get a new number, or for me to turn off iMessage when I want to text her.
    Not really the optimum solution.
Something really should be done to prevent this from happening!
Strangers are effectively intercepting text messages!
    Help!?!

Tell her to contact her carrier and get a new phone number.

  • For some reason when my daughter sends a text to someone else I get it and vice versa.  Also, when I send a text to her the text comes to me as well.  How do I stop this from happening?

For some reason when my daughter sends a text to someone else I get it and vice versa.  Also, when I send a text to her the text comes to me as well.  How do I stop this from happening?

This is iMessages, not an SMS/MMS, and this means the same Apple ID is registered for iMessage on each iPhone.
You or your daughter need to activate your own Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime. The same Apple ID can continue to be shared for iTunes store downloads - for music and apps.
On the iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.   Select the Apple ID at the top and sign out.   Sign in with the new Apple ID.
Make sure the same email address is not available below You can be reached by iMessage at on each iPhone.

  • When I try to buy or update an app on my ipad, a window comes up asking me for a password using SOMEONE ELSE'S apple ID which prevents me from buying the app. How can I get my ipad toprompt for a password using my own apple ID, like it does w/ itunes

When I try to buy or update apps, myipad asks me for a password using SOMEONE ELSE'S apple ID, which prevents me from buying/updating apps. But when I am buying songs on itunes, the ipad asks me for my password using MY OWN apple ID and everything works fine. HOW DO I GET MY IPAD TO REQUEST MY PASSWORD USING MY OWN apple ID WHEN I AM BUYING OR UPDATING APPS?

The apps you are trying to update were purchased with (and therfore permanently linked to) someone elses Apple ID. If you do not know the password then you need to delete the app and redownload/purchase it with your Apple ID.

This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes or iPhone forums.

downloaded acrobat reader 11 onto my Mac Book Pro, it can open the file but will not print. Get a message that says PDF cannot be printed, however, I forwarded it to someone else and they could print it, no problem. I called HP and spent an 1hour with them and then called Apple support and worked with them for 3 hours. No one can figure it out. Is there something wrong with this version? the pdf was created in 2004. Do I have to pay to get Acrobat?

Let me give you a slightly different perspective than everyone else here.  You are using an unsecured wireless network, which means that all your network traffic is easily available for viewing by anyone else using that network.  That's bad.  Very bad, for you, unless you absolutely trust everyone who lives within range of this network.  So stop doing it.
As to the Mac not connecting, wireless networking is simply too complex for any reasonable answer without more information.  There are many possible error points, and as often as not it's the Mac that can connect and the Windows PC that cannot.  Since you can't give us any information about the configuration of the neighbor's network, and can't make any changes to it, we can't do much to help you troubleshoot it.

  • I keep getting someone else's photos in my photo stream and can't delete them directly

    Hi !
I noticed lately that I keep getting pics of someone else in my photo stream. I thought maybe that someone hacked into my cloud so I disabled it and the share feature for photos. This isn't the first time this happens, I used to get pics from this person before and then it stopped. I also changed my ID and password just in case, but I still don't know where this is coming from. I'm afraid that they might have been getting some of my pics too :S

Just as an interesting follow-up, I contacted Apple's technical support line to try to inform them of this privacy violation (i.e. That I've received photos of some guy's kids on my phone) and was told that they couldn't help me because I didn't have tech support coverage.  I could, however, purchase said coverage for $60 or $70.  I explained that I wasn't having a technical issue with my phone, but rather there was a back-end issue.  I asked why I should pay to have them deal with a problem on their end, and a problem that is actually affecting someone else, since it's his photos that are getting broadcast.  The Apple tech couldn't supply an answer to that.  He did suggest that I change my password, though I can't imagine the issue is that some guy hacked my account so he could upload pictures of his family playing in the backyard or him attending a football game.

  • Getting Java errors overlaying pages, is this Firefox or someone else?

I'm running Firefox 33.0.3, and have Java 8 update 25 installed (the latest one, I double checked). On random web pages I'll get an overlay over the page saying that my Java is out of date and a security risk ( Exact message is..."the page at http://b1.fsqpyb.com says: WARNING!!! Your Java Version is Outdated, Have Security Risks, Please Update Now!"... the website given seems to be the same each time). Sometimes the message goes away when I refresh the page, but other times it refuses to go away. Is this a message Firefox generates or is it someone else?

Suspiciously poor grammar and that domain name was anonymously registered only a week ago. I suspect a malware infection, possible in the form of a bad add-on.
Here's what I suggest for tracking it down:
    (1) Open the Windows '''Control Panel''', Uninstall a Program. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help in smoking out undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.
    (2) Then, in Firefox, open the '''Add-ons page''' using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Set nonessential and unrecognized plugins to "Never Activate".
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or Remove, if possible) unrecognized and unwanted extensions.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
    (3) Check your '''Firefox connection setting''' in the Options dialog here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
The default of "Use system proxy settings" should piggyback on your Windows/IE "LAN" connection settings, but you also can try "No Proxy" to see whether that works better.
    (4) Search for remaining issues with the '''scanning/cleaning tools''' listed in our support article: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]. Note that the tools are free and take considerable time to run. If they seem to finish quickly and then ask for payment, you might have a Fake AV infection. Please use the specialized forums listed in the article in that case.
    Success?

  • TS3276 Why am I getting someone else's email in icloud acct?

I am getting someone else's email at my icloud.com account . This person has same email as me. Emails are all UK based

It is most likely that they have either mistyped their address or have somehow got the notion that your address is actually their address (inexperienced people do sometimes do this sort of thing).
Since you can't contact them (as you would just get the message back) I can only suggest responding to a suitable message to them and asking the sender if they can contact this person by another method and explain their error. As you have their credit card number possibly you could identify the card issuer (you could ask your bank - the first four digits would identify it) and contact them.
I don't think, given your description, that this is likely to be a phishing attempt.

  • I can't get someone else to store pick up a Dell notebook on checkout!

Hi folks, i'd like to ask if some1 knows why there is no option "Someone else will pick up this item" at the checkout of my Dell notebook (I17RSE-1282BK).
Are there any products that need the account owner to get it? Or it's just some kind of bug from the site?
    Thank you.

any last ditch suggestions before I throw it through a window?
    Open the window before throwing.
Most likely this won't work but you've tried everything else and it can't hurt... try an iPhone reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.  Might need to hold the buttons longer to get the logo.
Sorry, if DFU mode doesn't work, I don't know what else to try.  Maybe another computer?

  • How do i get someone else out of my apple id?

Hi guys, im using an iphone 4 to play this game Clash of Clans and recently, when i'm playing the game, i get the notification that someone else is playing which means that he has access to my apple id. Due to that im very frustrated and helpless... can anyone help me to solve the problem as in like get that guy out of my apple id?

It will prevent it from happening in the future.
Seems that both of her contacts and yours mixed as hers were on her phone and then iCloud synched both phones and melded them into one.
You will have to delete them manually. Sorry there is no other way of doing thiis. BEFORE aany of you delete any contacts:
1). Have her get her Apple ID. Have her sign OUT of your account. She should then sign in to he new account She can then delete the contacts she doesnt want.
    2) You sHould turn off iCloud synching. Delete unwanted contacts, then turn on iCloud again.
Remember.: while you are both using the same account, any changes made on one device will be reflected on the other device.
