Someone has hacked into my ipad!
I've been having problems with my password and I've had to reset it several times. Now someone has hacked in and downloaded a game in my ipad! How do I contact apple to get a refund for the price of the game? More importantly how can I stop this happening again?
Nobody has hacked your iPad.
Someone, somehow has got the password to your AppStore account, downloaded an app using your account, and you have Automatic Downloads turned on in your iPad.
First thing is to login to your AppleID/AppStore account and change the password to something VERY secure and don't share it with anyone.
Then contact iTunes Support and tell them what happened.

Someone has hacked into my account and sending emails (iCloud) pretending to be me. I've changed my icloud password. Do i need to do anything else?
You should consider enabling two-factor verification on your Apple ID, to further protect it. Without doing that, it's entirely possible that a hacker who gains access to your account in the future could take control of your Apple ID away from you entirely.
You also should consider whether any confidential information might be stored in iCloud. If you have made the mistake of putting a list of passwords in the Notes app, for example, that list should be considered compromised, and all passwords should be changed (and removed from the Notes app).
If you used the same password as your old iCloud password for other accounts, you need to change the password on all those accounts.
You should also alert your contacts that your e-mail was compromised, so that they are cautious about trusting any attachments supposedly coming from you. Keep in mind that the spammer can continue to "spoof" your e-mail address on the From line of new e-mail messages, even without access to your e-mail account. -

IS there a way to hack into someone iPad webcamera? and if there is can you get rid of it by yourself and not have to go into the store? Thank you sooo much!
Unless you have jailbroken your iPad, no one has hacked into it. If that isn't enough to allay your fears, put a piece of masking tape over it. There is no way to get rid of the camera, even if you take it to the Apple Store.
Best of luck. -

Don't know what I pressed but everytime I log in to Firefox (which is about 100 times a day) My phone gives me a message
that someone has logged into my account. Make it stop.Hi arsthegreat:
I don't understand what happened. Clarification please:
# What do you mean by "log in to Firefox". Do you mean login to your Firefox account? or do you mean log in to some other site. If it's not a Firefox account than it's probably not a Firefox issue.
# What do you mean by "My phone gives me a message that someone has logged into my account.". Do you mean text message? or an email? or someting else
# Any further info on what version of Firefox, what version of Android and what you did, what happened, what you expected would be super helpful.
Cheers!

SOMEONE HAS HACKED MY REWARDZONE ACCOUNT
Someone has hacked my rewardzone account. They changed the phone number on the account, and have used the account to purchase 2 tablets. Fortunately the credit card used is not one I (knowingly) own. In fact I just checked a free credit report and don't see the credit card there. Still this is very disconcerting. I called BestBuy customer service but they were of little help. Why would someone do this?! I only had $5 in rewards in the account.
Hello menglehart,
Welcome to the Best Buy forum, and thank you for connecting with us.
I can imagine your surprise and the concern you may have felt when you saw a purchase that you did not make displayed in your My Best Buy™ account. With the growing concern over identity theft nowadays, it is understandable to cautious. I looked over your account using the email address you registered with the forum and it would appear to me that everything should be fine.
As CrystalWoW mentioned, your personal credit card information is separate from your My Best Buy™ account. Do any family members have access to your account? The last name for the person that placed the order and the last name on the credit card used match your last name. The email address that was used and the shipping address appear to be similar as well.
I would like to go over your My Best Buy™ account with you in greater detail and make sure the information associated with your account is up-to-date, so I will be sending you a private message. To check your private messages, you will want to login to the forum and click on the little yellow envelope icon located at the top of the page. I look forward to further speaking with you.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Can I determine the IP of someone who has hacked into my wireless DSL?
I had all my PCs shut down/unplugged recently to move them but noticed the wireless light on my Actiontec was still lit/flashing. Could this be due to someone hacking into my DSL? I removed the antenna and it stopped. Replaced the antenna and it started again. I have a password on the wireless part but I understand software is out there which allows someone to determine the password. I have not changed the password yet until I ascertain if there is any way to determine the IP of the hacker. Or will any records just show MY IP no matter who connects? I am concerned with someone downloading illegal material or posting messages which will come back to my IP address.
Should I report this to Verizon now in case some legal difficulty should come my way in the future?
I'm not very smart on this stuff so please bear with me. Thanks...The IP address in this case will be absolutely useless. Because he came in through your wireless access point, he will be assigned an IP address in the 192.168.1.x range. These are non-routable IP addresses, and just about router in the world assigns connected users an IP in that range. So it is absolutely useless.
You may be able to obtain the MAC address from the Wireless router log/statistics, at least that is likely to be unique, but it doesn't tell you where or who the hacker is.
As the other poster suggested, lock down your wireless network. WEP is probably the easiest to use, and will certainly deter the average hacker. MAC filtering also usually works well because very few users understand how to change the MAC address through software. Basically MAC filtering only allows the MAC addresses on your list to utilize the network. WPA may or may not be available on wireless access point. It is more secure than WEP, but probably exacts a small performance price. -
Yea that happened I saw the device looked at it clicked on it then it disappeared from the device list..I did not have my Ipod connected so this an american prayer person I believe has hacked my account..I went in pref..now how would I handle it ???
Hmmm. what library are you refereing too? iTunes? You may have seen a shared music library? Were you on a wifi network?
