How on earth does someone hack into my iTunes account and charge my visa/debit card? I got no emails from iTunes, so I know it's not them. This has happened twice to me and it's after I take out my credit information. I found out because of a bounced check, plus my bank statement had all the charges on it. They start small with just a few dollars but they do it every day sometimes twice a day. Then next to where they tell you who charged it, it says iTunes with a bogus phone# to call? In total they stole $224 from me. I was lucky my bank refunded the money stollen. Has this happened to anyone else?
People get their accounts hacked all the time. It's unfortunate, but true. To prevent this in the future, you need to:
- choose a good password, with a mix of upper and lowercase letter and numbers, that someone wouldn't be able to guess by stalking you on social media sites
- be aware of surroundings when entering a password, to be sure nobody's looking over your shoulder
- be cautious of what you do on open wifi networks (ie, networks that do not require a password to join)
- use a different password on each site
- use a password manager so you don't have to remember all those different passwords -
I have been invoiced for a movie that I haven't downloaded can you confirm when this was rented?

Have you checked the purchase history on your acocunt via the Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) drop-down menu option on your computer's iTunes ? If you didn't rent it, and nobody else has access to your account, then you can contact iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption -

Certainly. If someone has hacked his Apple ID, they could use it on a different device, and could send messages as him. These messages would sync to his devices as well. Of course, use of an Apple ID on a different device causes a warning message to appear on all other devices using that Apple ID, saying that the Apple ID is being used on a new device. He may have simply dismissed that message without reading or understanding it and has forgotten all about it.
Or, of course, he might have sent the messages and be trying to deny responsibility... Can't rule that out, but what he's saying is indeed possible. -
Hello, someone stole my sons IPhone today in his gym class. I have the "find my iphone app" on my phone BUT he is not a listed device. I went into his itunes account and downloaded the "find my iphone app" app under his account. When I try to log into "find my iphone" under his name on my device I get an error msg involving icloud......he is MUCH better at this stuff then I am BUT he is in school and now I need to figure out how to use the "find my iphone app". PLEASE HELP
It doesn't matter whick account you use to download the app.
You have to sign into the app (or iCloud.com from a web browser on your computer) with his Apple ID & password.
Find My iPhone will only work if it was enabled in the iCloud settings on the device and it was powered on with a connection to the internet -
I have an iPhone 4 and plugged it into itunes on my computer for the first time. Only to discover my sister has obviously plugged hers into my itunes account and now I have lost all my photos and numbers. Please help me!!
It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it. -

I have logged into my iTunes account and downloaded an app. I am trying to make an "in app" subscription purchase. I was asked to re-enter my password, which I did (multiple times) and I get the same message... "Your purchase could not be completed". Anyone know what is going on here?

If you haven't remove the code from the card then you should be able to redeem it onto your account e.g. via the Redeem button under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes, or via the bottom of the Music tab if using an iOS device

If any charges were made to your credit card you should report them to your credit card company. -

They hacked your account. That is how it is possible. I'm sure you could study and learn how hacking is accomplished if you desire.
Change your password, contact your credit card company and discuss reimbursement with them and then alert itunes support that your account has been hacked. -
Im having problems signing into my itunes account on my apple tv so it is not letting me homeshare with my laptop, others are claiming to have the same problem. What is going on?
If you are absolutely positively sure that the password you are typing in is your Apple ID password, I would try once more to enter the password. Be real careful as you type and make sure that Autocorrect is not changing what you are typing.
If no luck try to proceed without entering the password. If you can get the iPad functional go into
Settings > ITunes and App Store and log in there.
If you can log into to your Apple ID there you will also need to go to
Settings > Messages > Send and Receive and enter or check the email at which you want to receive messages,
Also
Settings > FaceTime > check or enter the email address you want to be reached by FaceTime. -
