Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

How do I switch Timecode on a reel after someone has started using it?

Hello all, I could really use some help on this one...
I captured a digital reel of a feature and forgot to set the timecode to start at the hour. Therefore, instead of cutting with a reel that started at 01:00:00:00, it started at something like 1:38:02:12. I need to revert the timecode on the original clip so it starts at 01:00:00:00, but have already started using the original clip with the faulty timecode. If I were to try to knock the original clip with faulty timecode offline and reconnect to the clip with correct timecode, all of my work would be shifted because it would be reading the incorrect timecode. This is a huge timewaster considering how much work I have already done.
Is there a way to knock everything offline and reconnect successfully to the CORRECT reel with the CORRECT timecode while still keeping the original cuts I made?

I work at a production company. We need to have correct timecode for finishing. We got in footage that we are supposed to start every reel at the hour. When you convert the footage through final cut pro to the format we need to work in, the timecode resets to a random number of where it was in the final cut pro sequence when exported.
We need to have the reels timecode start up at the hour of each tape, so reel 1 should be 01:00:00:00 and reel two should be 02:00:00:00 and so on. It is strictly a finishing thing.
My question is, how, when someone has already started working with the clips with the incorrect TC can I change it so everything matches up correctly? If I were to change the Timecode now, everything would relink to the wrong timecode.

Hi my late 2008 model Mac Book Pro has gotten really slow and has made a loud noise twice in the last month.

My Macbook is not acting right it has gotten very sluggish online and has made a really loud buzz or screaching sound twice in the last month. The first time I was just on the internet and it wouldn't quit making the loud noise until I turned it off and back on. This last time it made it while restarting it or was in the process of restarting from updating and while it was still a black screen it made that noise but stoped on its own this time. I have no idea what to check in Macs or where to looks for errors or problems. Also the link you profided is this what the update to 10.6 will provide? I really didn't understand the tech language so I didn't understand what it was telling me. I am sorry to be so inept on this. I just had to have the battery replaced about a month ago and while in the store I was asking the tech to check all the error messages and make sure everything was OK because I had no clue what they meant or if I had any problems. I just use it I guess you would say. The tech said I didn't need to worry about any of that stuff that Mac's don't get viruses and I was fine. Well that didn't answer checking for hardware problems or anything like that but he didn't have anything else to say about it.

Double prompts for Exchange 2013 migrated users: "The microsoft exchange administrator has made a change that requires you to restart outlook"

I have Exchange 2010 SP3 in my environment and am migrating to Exchange 2013. Whenever a mailbox is migrated, the Outlook 2013 client will prompt the user with a "the exchange administrator has made a change that requires you to restart
Outlook". When the user does so, he or she is prompted again. After he or she closes and reopens Outlook for the second time, the issue is gone permanently.
I've seen a number of other posts about repeated prompts like this but I haven't yet found one or someone gets exactly 2 prompts for each client and no more.
A couple of pieces of information that may be relevant:
1. On exchange 2013, the authentication method for the internal host name is NTLM
2. I have not yet migrated public folders from Exchange 2010. I plan to do that after the mailbox migration is complete.

From your description, after mailboxes are moved from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013, users receive the following prompt when opening Outlook.
The Microsoft Exchange Administrator has made a change that requires you quit and restart Outlook.
In order to solve this issue, you need to apply the Outlook update that is described in KB 2863911.

You should consider enabling two-factor verification on your Apple ID, to further protect it. Without doing that, it's entirely possible that a hacker who gains access to your account in the future could take control of your Apple ID away from you entirely.
You also should consider whether any confidential information might be stored in iCloud. If you have made the mistake of putting a list of passwords in the Notes app, for example, that list should be considered compromised, and all passwords should be changed (and removed from the Notes app).
If you used the same password as your old iCloud password for other accounts, you need to change the password on all those accounts.
You should also alert your contacts that your e-mail was compromised, so that they are cautious about trusting any attachments supposedly coming from you. Keep in mind that the spammer can continue to "spoof" your e-mail address on the From line of new e-mail messages, even without access to your e-mail account.

All the com.apple stuff in red can't be good.
First: you need a backup. Then:
I would boot into the recovery partition (restart and hold down ⌘ R until you see the apple logo) and use disk utility to repair your HD. Repair permissions while you are there too.
I'd also get rid of the google keystone agent, which is a frequent flyer here for slowing macs down.
Then restart and see how things are.
If that doesn't fix it then I'd reinstall Yosemite over the current installation.
If that doesn't fix it then you probably need to start over with a clean install (i.e., backup your documents, erase your HD, and reinstall everything from scratch).

Just found that someone has called a number with 317 area code numerous times and billed to my number. How can this happen??

Every time I make a call it is announced how many minutes remains, I could not believe I was using this many minutes. I checked my usage and found that there were numerous (10's if not 100') calls made to a phone in the 317 area code, using up the most of my minutes over the last several months.
I don't know any one in this area, (I looked it up online and if I remember correctly, it is in Indiana)

Someone has gained access to my computer. please help

Recently someone has gained access to my computer. The first time they interacted with me they made a chat window pop up and started to ask me questions about what i was doing on the computer. I couldn't close the window he was typing in i had to shut my computer off. The window i think said something like controller something. The second incounter was a few mins ago the person really went to town. First they was making my computer talk to me. I know the Mac can talk but it doesn't say stuff like "i like cocaine ******", "**** ", plus many more and called me the N word. This made me believe they can see through my webcam on my mac. And they where saying my username .After 10 mins of them spamming the voices back to back. They then made a Google chrome open up with like 10 tabs that played a werid video like a dude from the saw movies or something/the ring type video. So i close it then they open it again with like 30 tabs... so now i really don't know what to do to stop this. im running snow leopard and updating is not really an option right now. I checked like my firewall cause that's one of the few things i know of and it was off the first time. But the second time the firewall was on and they still did what ever they wanted. I work from my computer and don't want to lose all my programs but i wonder if i just learn how to reset my hole computer would that stop them.i have the snow leopard disc somewhere.

Uninstall Hamachi.
Any third-party software that doesn't install by drag-and-drop into the Applications folder, and uninstall by drag-and-drop to the Trash, is a system modification.
Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
I never install system modifications myself, and I don't know how to uninstall them. You'll have to do your own research to find that information.
Here are some general guidelines to get you started. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickMyMac” (a hypothetical example.) First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickmyrmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the Web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, contact the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickMyMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickMyMac.” If not, open “BrickMyMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
Back up all data before making any changes. You generally have to reboot in order to complete an uninstallation.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase and install OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
You may be advised by others to try to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name, or by running "utilities" that purport to remove software. I don't give such advice. Those tactics often will not work and may make the problem worse.

Someone has been using MY email address as their Apple ID. When I started setting up my own Apple ID with my own email address, I eventually had to reset the associated password, thinking I had made this Apple ID earlier. Then when I logged into the account, it turned out to be someone else's account. Help, how do I fix this so I have my Apple ID associated with my email address and the other person knows to change their Apple ID email address?

I had this happen a few years ago. Someone created an iTunes account using one of my Gmail email addresses. I got the email to verify the account. I verified it, and then hit the forgot my password link. Reset the password and logged in. There I could see the ladies name, address and credit card. I changed it all to my name and removed the payment info and never entered my card number so they account could not be used.
Never had a problem again.

Is there any way to tell if someone has cleared and reused a lost Ipod touch? Or will it continue to show up as offline in Find Iphone app?

I have the app Find Iphone, and my kids' ipods are linked to the app because we share an itunes account. My son cannot find his ipod, in which, he took it on a mini-vacation with friends. He never took it out of their vehicle, but it may have fallen out at some point, just not sure. When I check my app, it simply reads offline. Will it continue to say that the device is in lost mode if it has been restored? My Find Iphone is saying that when the device is connected to the internet that it will be locked and that a message (that I typed in) will appear. How did they wipe it? By using Find My iPad and performing a wipe? If so, that means they have your icloud ID and password, not a good thing.
You could try connecting it to iTunes and performing a restore from iCloud. But if they changed password, then you are out of the loop. How did they get your password in order to change it?
