Someone is getting to my computer

Hope you can help.
I got an issue with a 12" G4 Powerbook (1.33 Ghz, Tiger 10.4.6, 768 Mb RAM). This computer is used in an school network, is a huge network actually. The thing is that someone is getting into this computer by the network and is very annoying. This person is getting accounts, deleting files, getting personal information, well, you could guess this is so ******* me off.
I don't know that much about Unix, which is the way I guess this person is getting access to the computer, could someone give me some orientation on how this person is doing it? Any solution to put a barrier or something?
By the way, directly in Mac OS X at system preferences, i have already changed passwords, stoped services at sharing pane, also the firewall is on (only network clock and ichat are active). Am I missing something?

Ever since I purchased my computer I have complained to APPLE - over the phone and in store - taken in my computer for them to look at and have been told no way- buy new mouse or tracking pad is acting up

Hello, I have a question on "quest".????? I have someone getting into my computer. I have shut of the quest... and yet yesterday all of my files were stolen. Data rate DOES make a difference, but I'd say your real problem has more to do with the fact that you're working on a Powerbook. Motion's real time capabilities derive from the capability of the video card. Not the processor. Some cards do better than others, but laptops are not even recommended for running Motion.
To improve your workflow on a laptop will be limited, but there are a few things that you can try.
Make sure that thumbnails and previews are turned off.
Make sure that you are operating in Draft Mode.
Lower the display resolution to half, or quarter.
Don't expect to be getting real time playback. Treat it more like After Effects.
Compressing your clips into smaller Animations does help because it lowers the data rate, but you're still dealing with the animation codec which is a high data rate codec. Unfortunately, it sounds necessary in your case because you're dealing with alpha channels.
The data rate comes into play with your setup trying to play through your USB drive. USB drives are never recommended for editing or Motion work. Their throughput is not consistent enough for video work. a small FW drive would be better, though your real problem as I said is the Powerbook.
If you must work on the powerbook, then don't expect real-time playback. Instead, build your animation, step through it, and do RAM previews to view sections in real time.

Now that you mention it, I'm having the exact same problem on Facebook as well, when I play Family Feud.
I wish someone would investigate and post a solution to this problem. No-one from Playlist has responded, and no-one "Officially" from Firefox either.

Yesterday I lost my ipod in school.
To be more specific, someone stole it out of my backpack
But I have the serial code and everything since its new.
Is there any way to find out if someone plugs it into their computer or goes online with it? I read online that it's possible and i don't know what to do
Because My facebook is all connected to it. If someone goes online with my ipod they would know whose it is. . So obviously they're not giving it back.

First thing that you should do is change your passwords for Facebook and any other apps which connect to online services such as email accounts. Once you've done this the iPod will no longer be able to log into these services.
Secondly you need to report the theft to local authorities as soon as you can, the longer you wait the less likely it is to be recovered.

If you have items from other sources (ripped CD's, etc.) on the phone, you can't transfer those without purchasing 3rd party software.
Restore the backup of your old computer or just copy the data from the old computer to the new one.

Mac OS X does not offer a Clean install option. If by clean install you mean erasing the system, that is not recommended unless:
1. You bought a used/refurbished Mac and there is software on it without any accompanying discs, and it is older than July 20, 2011 in model release:

Or if it is at or newer, then erase it if it has applications installed that would not have been prebundled with it and you have no CDs for those applications.
You don't want someone else's software keys, or accounts, or to be running unlicensed software. At and newer Macs offer a built-in internet restore for their software with a command-R boot that lets you erase the system with Disk Utility, and then install from the internet the latest operating system.
2. You have a hardware issue and want to eliminate possible software issues as the cause when troubleshooting a problem all at once.
Issues affecting a new install have to be isolated before you attempt it. Unless you know it is software or hardware, erasing may only mask other problems.

There's this site he tells me about that he can use to text my phone. Will it cost me additional if someone texts me using his computer? Or is it included in my unlimited texting plan? Because my other friend texts me using his itouch and it's free. But I want to make sure that texting me thru computer is free before letting him send me a message.

The Mandatory Access Control Framework is part of OS X, and is not spyware.
If you want to know if someone is spying on your computer, install Little Snitch. It will tell you when anything new is trying to send something outside of your system.

What is it about InDesign CS5 that someone would get this error message?

What is is about the .swf file that is generated from the InDesign CS5 interactive workspace that someone would get the following error message when they go to view the site I created?
"This file may contain newer information that this viewer can support. It may not open or display correctly. Adobe suggests that you upgrade to the latest versions of our Acrobat products blah blah blah."
The site doesn't seem to work for four Mac users, but works fine for at least one PC user.
I'm trying to figure out how to save the .swf file down to Flash Player 9, which I've done by exporting a .fla file, then adjusting the Publish setting in Flash CS5. But that throws a wrench into the works...all the animations go haywire by continuously looping and the scale of all the text elements on the first page is much larger than it should be.

Rich text box used in Infopath Form not displaying option to get images from Computer

We have used "Rich text box" in Infopath Form which is not displaying option to get images from Computer.
Options available are : From Address, From SharePoint
But if we Rich text box in list, then it works fine with "From Computer" option.
can you please help me out to get this option.

From your description, there is no “From Computer” option to get images with rich text box in InfoPath form.
Per my knowledge, by design there are “From Address” and “From SharePoint” options without “From Computer” option in rich text box in InfoPath form. As a workaround, you can develop a custom InfoPath Rich Text box to do it.
About developing a custom InfoPath control, I suggest you create a new thread on the forum “Visual Studio Tools for Office”, more experts will assist you with InfoPath development.

I have changed my apple ID but cannot get my Mac computer to change it on iCloud. I have signed out but do not know how to sign back in with my new id.

I have successfully changed my apple ID and password, but cannot get my Mac computer to change it on iCloud. I have accessed system preferences, iCloud and sign out. But now I do not know how to sign in using my new id and password. I would like iCloud to work on my Mac so that it will sync to my iPhone and iPad. I have installed all of the latest software. How do I change this account on my Mac?

Do you have your Mac backed up?
If not, you should use Time Machine to back up your Mac to an external hard drive just "in case".
But if all you did was change your existing ID, then deleting the Calendar infomation from the Mac when you sign out should not be an issue. Since it is the same Apple ID, it is the same iCloud account (just with a different name), so your Contacts, Calendars, etc. are stored in iCloud. When you sign back in, you will have the option to sync Contacts, Calendars, Notes, etc. with iCloud - it should already be checked. Just sign back in, and your iCloud info will re-download to your Mac.
I just tried this, and all of my stuff showed up when I signed back in. Notes took a couple of seconds to load once I opened them, but they are all there.
Note: If you are signing on with a brand new Apple ID, then nothing will be downloaded because it will be an entirely different iCloud account. But if it is the same Apple/iCloud/iTunes ID with just a new email, then it will all be restored.

I don't want to "erase" or lose any information when I sync with a new itunes that is "empty"
What are the steps? After I download Itunes and set the folder location to my external harddrive what is next? Will Itunes recognize my IPOD? Will it load the music/list from my ipd or external into itunes?
