Someone is selling our music and I need to find out who it is

I thought it was our small indie label so I was kind of stoked and hoped they made a little money of it. That was a few years ago. I just found out it's not. I tried emailing customer support weeks ago but no answer came back. I'm having a ***** of a time navigating around the site finding the terms for selling music on itunes or contacting the itunes people to find out who is selling our stuff. That's pretty slimey. Looking at the popularity chart some songs are more popular than others so I assume that means we're selling something. Help!! - Another oppressed artist

okay, there's contact email links for the iTunes music marketing folks in this document:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/contentproviders/faq.html
and if no joy there, there's various contact emails (and some phone numbers) for Apple's legal people here:

how can i tell if someone is logging into my find my iphone account and how can i find out who it is? Can I add a second layer of password security for Find My iphone?

Nobody can log in to your iCloud account unless you gave them your password. There is no other way.
If you shared your password with someone (not a good idea) and no longer want them to have access to your account, change the password and don't share it again.

    Hi:
You need to read your router's configuration instructions on how to access the router's menu.
Hopefully you can access that and in the wireless security menu you will find the passkey to use.

  • Someone stole my MacBook Pro. I need to find out what the purchase price was and the serial number for the insurance. Any suggestions?

Someone stole my MacBook Pro and I thought maybe I could find out how to get the serial number and purchase price for the insurance carrier. I looked in the community and found finding an iPod with iTunes, but iTunes on my iPad doesn't have preferences, so now I don't know what to do. Can I call someone? Is there really any help. Next time I'm gonna buy from amazon because you can go right on to my order history and have the information right at your finger tips in a matter of minutes instead of getting the run around!

Well, if you don't have a copy of your purchase receipt, then you can find the serial number in your support profile if you registered the machine. As for a copy of your invoice, call the Apple store and ask for a copy.

  • I have an old TC (500GB) and I need to find out what's on it.

Currently I have a 2TB TC backing up my iMac. I have an older, smaller TC (500GB) that I think came from a previous HD failure on an older iMac, and I think any info was migrated to a new HD. If I unplug the current TC and plug in the older one, will I see what's on it? If so, and it's contents have already been transferred (which is why I want to see), how can I wipe the TC clean to use as storage? If the data from this old TC was migrated to a new HD, would the old TC be wiped clean? This was done at the Apple store. Am I clear on this? I'm concerned the small TC will begin a backup of my iMac , which isn't my purpose, as I'm looking to start over with this smaller TC. I was unable to find a discussion which answers this. Thanks.

Let me answer the last bit first.
I'm concerned the small TC will begin a backup of my iMac
A TC is a dumb as a board hard disk in an airport router.. it will do nothing.. it will sit on the network and do nothing at all. All smarts for backup are Time Machine which is software on the computer.. and TM will not start doing new backups unless you tell it.
If I unplug the current TC and plug in the older one, will I see what's on it?
    Yes.
Unplug a computer from the network.. your imac.. !! And plug in the old TC. LAN to LAN port.
Do a factory reset of the TC if the computer cannot then access the TC.
    The Factory Reset.
    Power down the TC.
Hold in reset. and keep holding it in. Be Gentle! It is a tiny surface mount switch with a plastic lever.. Attempting to push it out the other side of the TC will not make the switch turn on better.
(I fix TC and have several reset levers bent over and jammed or broken off).
Power on the TC.. remember with the reset held in.. this needs three arms.. a friend or power switch you can get to with your feet..
Keep holding in reset for about 10sec until the front LED flashes rapidly.
Release reset and wait .. the boot will be slow as it deletes previous setting.. only from router side and pulls out the factory defaults. No files are deleted on the hard disk.. but the name of the TC may change.
If the data you are trying to find is in TM backup it is not easy to find out what you are missing.
    Please follow the instructions here.
    http://pondini.org/TM/17.html
If the data from this old TC was migrated to a new HD, would the old TC be wiped clean?
The apple store will not wipe the old TC .. or at least that would not be good practice. It is your data and your job to keep or delete it.
If you want to wipe the TC open the airport utility and go to the disk tab and select erase.. if you are keeping the TC for yourself.. just do a quick erase.. takes a minute or two.. if you want to sell it then do a one pass erase which will take a few hours.
If you want to use the old TC .. remember it is now 4 years old.. maybe nearer 5years.. it has done its time.. it will die shortly.. suddenly and without recourse. If you put info on it you need.. you will regret it.

  • Confused to how to use this and I need to find out activity on my sons I phone

Please help me to find photos I've deleted by accident. My son also has an I phone under my account and I'm trying to find out his activity. Please help. Thank you.

    ChrisJ4203,
Thank you for the help.  Every app on my phone was downloaded using my old I-tunes ID.  I just hope that they will re-download under my new ID because I still can't change it on my phone.  In order to change to the new ID it says I have to sign out from the old ID and change to the new one.  My problem is that I don't remember my password to be able to sign out from my old ID.  Then the phone says it can change my password through e-mail and I  agree but I never get an e-mail at my old address or the new one.

  • HT4859 Help!  My whole family shares one apple id and my daughter deleted all of our contacts from her phone, unknowingly deleting them from ours too!  I need to find out how to restore an archived copy.

Help!  My whole family shares one apple ID and one of us deleted a large amount of contacts from our phone, not realizing that they would be deleted from all of our devices.  Is it at all possible to restore an archive of our contacts?  Is there such a thing?

icloud is designed so that only one user uses it to keep his/her devices in sync.  Problems such as yours occur when multiple users use the same account - icloud is not designed for that.
If a user is using your account, they should get their own account and disconnect from your account.
To create a new icloud account, go to
    http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Once they have a new account, they should go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account.  This only disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost on icloud.  Then enter the account ID that you want to use.
Note that an ID used for iCloud does not have to be the same ID used for iTunes.  You can all keep the same iTunes store Apple ID to share purchases, but for iCloud, use different IDs.

  • How do i stop someone from hacking our accounts and we never know they do it?

My girlfriend and I have been struggling with her ex. He knows anything we talk about and gets pics that we send to each other or to other people. Somehow he logs on to both of our accounts and uses verizon messages to talk to other people then he screenshots the messages and sends them to her trying to get her to leave me. He made the mistake and told someone that he has a friend that works in verizon and he gets all of our messages? How is this possible and how can i stop it? The PA state police cant do anything about it and it needs to stop. He knew i left my housr yesterday and came here when she was alone and forced himself into my house. Anyone with any information on what to do please help me out before i go postal and go into the verizon store and figure out who it is.

I agree with Elector. If a VZW employee is giving out your account information to a third party they will surely be fired and prosecuted. VZW can easily find out who it is since the system tags the account when it is accessed by an employee or agent of VZW. If he forced his way into your home and you can prove it then the police should surely be involved.
I would also get a restraining order. Doesn't help much but it is something. Then once you can prove contact that violates it he will be arrested.
First change your passwords on everything. Even though VZW Message+ is great I would also stop using it because if he accessing your messages online then another app will not allow this. Plus a computer expert should be able to track the ISP of the messages sent from the internet and that would be proof of his violations.

  • My husband and I have separate iTunes accounts and multiple devices (iPads, iPhones, iPods etc) how do we share our music and apps between our devices if we have different iTunes accounts.

Help! My husband and I have multiple devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod ) that we we have linked to individual iTunes accounts ie he has his account with iPad, iPhone, PC and iPod linked/sync and I have my account with iPhone, iPad, iPad mini, PC etc.. How do we share our music and apps across/between our accounts?

It probably means that only one of you can use iCloud or at least sync calender/contacts with it. I would guess that you could manually manage the other phone as you have before.

Someone stole my Ipod and i Need to find it but the person who stole it isn't using wifi how can i find it

Until it's turned on and connected to the Internet you cannot find it.
What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:
This link, Re: Help! I misplaced / lost my iPhone 5 today morning in delta Chelsea hotel downtown an I am not able to track it. Please help!, has some good advice regarding your options when your iDevice is lost or stolen.
