Someone please help? I need a lot of it.
I'm trying to create a song on garageband and I have the iLife '08. It supposed to be so great and amazing, but I cannot get it to work. It is constantly freezing and it won't allow my to listen to the audio I have put on there for more than 3 or 4 seconds.
I tried to download updates on it, but all it will do is install them as like a plug-in on my desktop.
I am very frustrated!
Also, to record any music you have to have a microphone right? Where could I get one?
King is right that it's hard to help w/o more info. Did you just buy iLife? Did it come with your computer?
W/o more info, I'd suggest 2 things off the bat though.
First, try trashing both Garageband preferences (go to your "Library" and "Preferences" folder; find both Garageband preferences files and throw them both out). Restart your mac, repair permissions (using the Disk Utility application) and see if that helps.
Second, I notice that your name is "confused with iDVD" and you are also having problems with GB. The programs in iLife are pretty easy to use. However, if you are just starting out and feel like you are swimming in a vortex of confusion, it might be a good idea to step back and try to watch the introductory videos Apple has on their site about them, and then read up on them through the "getting started" PDFs under the Help menu.

After restoring to factory settings/new iPod you will then have to restore from backup

My iphone 4 won't connect to my mac book, it says that I need to install to latest version of itunes 11.1. When I go to itunes and try to update, it says that I have the latest version (10.6.3). Can someone please help me!
thanksYou are probably running OS 10.4 or 10.5 on a PPC Mac. No version of iTunes higher than 10.6.3 is available for these older Macs. I have the same problem, and while I can still use the PPC to sync my iPod, it can't be used to sync an iPhone 4 or higher. The only solution, as I discovered after upgrading to the iPhone 4, is to buy a newer Mac. I was able to get a 2006 MacBook running Lion for under $300, and that has been a lifesaver.

'm trying to transfer the music from my iPhone 3G to my iPod shuffle using iTunes but I don't know how. I checked on websites but i dont really trust them cause I don't want all my music to be erased (cause i spent a lot of money on them) can someone PLEASE help me. Why is iTunes so complicated.

My iPad has been stolen. Someone broke into my house on Tuesday. I have already tried locking it through icloud. I have reported this to the authorities but they cannot do much unless I give them the serial number to the iPad. With the serial number they can put it into a database and send that inormation to pawn shops, so i the theie tries to pawn it, the pawn shop employeee can convscate the iPad and hand it over to the authorites. I need the serial number to report it to the authorities. I dont have the box it came in or the receipt and its not on my itunes on the computer because I didnt use it or music, just pictures. Can someone please help??? btw, some words are misspelled becasue the letter that comes ater the letter E, doesnt work on my keybord.

I need to download all of my photos from my iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 to my MacBook Air because there is no more storage space available. I want to make sure all my photos are not lost and that they do not return to the original devices because of the cloud. Can someone please help ?
Connect your devices to the computer with the USB cable (one device at a time) and import the photos via iPhoto or Image Capture.
If you have not changed any default settings on your computer, iPhoto will automatically launch when you plug in the device. Then follow the import prompts. -
when i turn on itunes, it crashes automatically with the error message saying "itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close." I've tried reinstalling itunes but its the same. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

Recently I installed iTunes on my computer so that I could put music on my new iPad and it was fine, the next day when I went to put some more on it it asked me to download the newest version of iTunes and I did but since then I have been having trouble getting access to iTunes. The action menu can be restored by, in the Finder, selecting under View menu "Customize Toolbar ...". There you will see options to put the action menu (wheel) back on your toolbar. -

Can someone please help? Recently just had my iPhone 4S reconnected. I've now waited the 24 hours that you need to wait till everything goes back to normal. However on a phone call I can hear whoever I'm calling but they can't hear me?
i had the same problem a few weeks ago and i had only had my 3g iphone for a few weeks. It was as if i was on permanent mute. I could hear others fine, but they couldn't hear me, even if i used speakerphone or even a bluetooth.
i took it to an apple store and they did a real quick test (they first did a system restore, then they took my phone and tried calling another employee). Once they validated it wasn't working, they replaced my phone quickly with no questions asked. Just make sure to back up everything on I-Tunes before you go in so that you dont lose any info. might want to do the restore before you go in, as well, otherwise you'll have to wait for them to do it at the store, which takes them 15 mins or so.

okay so my cousin downloaded a bunch of songs to my ipod and i couldnt listen to them so i decided to sync my ipod, i thought everything went well but i guess i was wrong because i saved all my apps to my laptop and my music also. but now i cant get any of it back on my ipod it says i have to authorize my computer so when i go to itunes and attempt to authorize my laptop it doesnt give me that option ive tried everything someone please help thanks...

Haven't been able to use itunes for at least 2 months now. I went to upload a newly downloaded album and now itunes freezes on "determining gapless playback information" every single time! Then i have to hard reset my mac every time as well, which i have done a good 30+ times now. Someone please help me out, it would be much appreciated. i just want to listen to my music again. Apple support is useless and just want money when it's there fault it has happened anyway by applying that useless 'determining' non sense. Please help!
