Someone please help! This is so hard and confusing!!
Ok, so call me crazy or obsessed, but my iPod mini was very special to me, and it was stolen from my bag about a day ago. I cannot pinpoint who would have stolen it, because my school is absolutely huge. However, isnt there some sort of way to know if they try to register it again on iTunes? I have the serial number, and that has to help in some way! Please help me, I want that iPod back so bad. I am dirt poor too, so I dont have the money to buy another one. I mean, the serial number has to be entered to register it to a new computer, so shouldn't it be able to be found some way if the serial number is registered again? I am desperate to know if that can help in some way! Please help me! There has to be some way to find out of it is registered somewhere else!
Sorry your iPod got stolen, but their is no way for Apple to track the use of that iPod by the serial number.

No, it does not. An iPod can be used with unlimited computers without the need to register it.
If you did register the product when you first got it, then if you've reported the theft to the Police along with the serial number, if it's recovered Apple will assist them to return it to you.
That's all you can do.

You have a few options:
1- Increase the Buffer Size in the Logic Devices Preferences to the maximum (1024)
2- Freeze some Tracks with CPU intensive plugins
3- Buy a faster computer

Can someone please help this brain-dead 50-year-old?
I have an issue I need help with please!! I have a software program that allows me to add cool effects to text (Flasheff2). However, I can't figure out how to have one group of text fade in after the first group of text fades out. See this example: http://97.74.146.161/Original.swf In the example, you'll notice that the developer was able to have multiple text messages fade in then out again. I know how to create and make one group of text fade in then out, but I can't figure out (layers, timelines??) how to have multiple groups of text, one right after the other.
If this makes sense to anyone, please help me out. It is really appreciated.The very simplest method is to lay out the text and effects end to end on a single timeline. This will certainly work. A second method is to create each text fadein - fadeout as its own movieClip. Then you can play each movieClip one after the other. A third method is to write a set of tweens for each text object. The tweens can each be in functions which are called sequentially. A fourth method is to use the TweenMax tweening library to write one long series of sequential tweens replacing the actual text at each fade out end.
Each of these will work equally well. The first is the least flexible in terms of timing and content, the last is the most flexible. -

ok here is the problem,,, i got my ipod shuffle for xmas, was working good until something crashed on my harddrive i had to format harddrive , now itunes is not seeing that i have a ipod, my computer is because when i plug it in says "to safely remove hardware". I think lost all music on it which is fine as long as i can get it to work again.. i tried to use the ipod updater and it just says initializing and doesnt do anything else.. when i clici on the battery to see if it is charged nothing at all happens, but on the front the green light lights up when i push a button... i know surely it cant be the battery as i have only used this for less than a month and then only used it on 4-5 occasions b4 i had all these problems..

Make sure you fully meet all requirements -- you might have to contact your carrier to be sure since one of the requirements involves them. I suggest contacting them and asking them very specifically if your current service plan allows you access to AppWorld.

Someone please help this Audio Shuttering is driving me crazy.
Everytime I listen to music or watch video on my Satelite L655-S5083 the audio and video shutter and a loud buzzing sound happens. It doesn't matter if its streaming from the internet or already on the computer via hard drive or CD/DVD the buzzing and shuttering happens in both senarios. According to the computer the audio and display drivers are up to date and performing properly. Any ideas out there...Peter....anyone?

You should only be using the drivers from your model's Toshiba download site. Toshiba laptops are notoriously finicky about using only Toshiba supplied hardware drivers. For this reason, I recommend disabling automatic updates and only doing manual updates. Click on 'Start - All Programs - Windows Update', on the menu at left click on 'Change settings', under 'Important updates' click on the drop down menu at right, choose 'Never check for updates (not recommended)', and click 'OK'. Then only do manual updates, check them very carefully, and never let Windows Update change any hardware drivers. Though you should still regularly check for updates.
Next, let's try to reinstall your core set of drivers. Download these drivers to your desktop and double click to install them in this order:
Intel Chipset SW Installation Utility
Intel Display Driver
Conexant Audio Driver
Please let us know if this resolves your problem.

Hello, was attempting to back up old ipod touch to laptop (in order to set up new ipod) but message read that cannot connect because it requires itunes version 10.6.3 or later. itunes will not update on laptop. Any ideas? your help would be much appreciated as I'm new to all of this and don't know how else to transfer old ipod content over to new one. Thanks
iOS 6 requires iTunes 10.7 or later. Install the latest version of iTunes which is 11.

Jim and Rob, thank you for taking your time to respond. I have a mac & a pc with 4 gigs of RAM in each. I originally experienced the problem on my mac and afterwards the same thing happened on the pc. I shoot with a canon 5d mark iii and never had this problem before, but what I'm realizing is that I'm running out of space on both the mac & the pc. After an afternoon of shooting today, I filled up a 32-gig card, so my TB hard drives are filling up ridiculously fast. I need to drop some load off both drives and reboot. Hope this will resolve the issue as I really don't think it's a canon-LR problem (I'm using the most updated 5.6 version). Again, thanks for your input. I'll keep you posted.

Ok so I'm trying to update my iPad, and it keeps "timing out." I got to the actual update process, and it failed and asked me to restore my iPad, but I just can't lose all of my apps and photos! I payed for a lot of my apps, and my photos are just too important. Someone please help!
If rhe apps and photos are that important you made sure that you took the steps in order to keep them safe in an event like this didn't you?
You did backup the iPad before you decided to update the iPad correct?
And you did transfer all of your apps and other purchases into iTunes before you decided to update correct?
If you did, just restore the iPad and then restore from the backup at the end of fhe process and follow that with a sync with iTunes and you will lose nothing,
Now if you didn't do any of the precautionary steps .... -
My iPhone 4 will not sync my new voice memos from the "Voice Memos" app to my computer. This is frustrating, should not be so hard, can someone please help. I use PC with windows 7 with iPhone version 6.1.3 and iTunes most recent. Thanks.
In the Music tab of iTunes, do you have 'Include Voice Memos' checked?

I have just started using WD external hard drives, I use it to save my movies and music on. On more than one occasion, when I connect it to my MacBook it erases everything I had save on the hard drive. Can someone please help me with this problem? I am super tired of having to put all of my movies and music on the hard drive just to have it erased again. The products I am using are WD 4TB My Book and 2 TB My Passport external hard drives. When it happens, there is always an icon that reads, EFI, along with the My Book icon. Thank you for your assisstance.

Yes, you have WD software installed REMOVE IT !!
WD has warned its customers about their huge mistake that their software doesnt work on Mavericks and causes data loss.
(also dont use WD drives anymore)

Haven't been able to use itunes for at least 2 months now. I went to upload a newly downloaded album and now itunes freezes on "determining gapless playback information" every single time! Then i have to hard reset my mac every time as well, which i have done a good 30+ times now. Someone please help me out, it would be much appreciated. i just want to listen to my music again. Apple support is useless and just want money when it's there fault it has happened anyway by applying that useless 'determining' non sense. Please help!

Can someone please help a friend of mine get a permanent registration key (not a trial key that expires in 30 days) to replace his lost registration key for Adobe Photoshop CS2? His previous hard drive crashed and he no longer has his registration key. This is vital for his wedding business.
Thanks to everyone for the tips on my CS2 question. It turns out in the end it was some plug-in filter software that was causing the glitch, not a lack of an Adobe registration key. As for why he still uses CS2, it does the job for him, so that's all he needs.

My Macbook pro is acting Crazy....the Cursor just keeps on jumping everywhere and not responding when I use the trackpad....Even when it does respond it is very slow...I thought it was the trackpad acting up but realized it wasnt when i plugged in a mouse and it still did the same thing...this happened one other time and shortly after my computer froze...I had to restart for it to work but restarting dosent help this time...can someone please help?...Is this a Virus?

As to what it might be, that's hard to say. You should try some basic troubleshooting... Repair the hard drive with disk utility. Boot in safe mode and see if it happens then, log in to a different user account and see if it happens there, reboot from another system and see if it happens.
Apparently some people have had this kind of problem caused by swelling batteries that push on the underside of the trackpad and cause all kinds of strange problems. Is your machine's underside deformed at all?

windows thinks my itouch is a camera and itunes says this ipod can't be used because the software isn't installed - reinstall itunes. i've done that and continue to get the same error. can someone please help?

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, does your device connect without that message now? -

It can't be done on the iPad using iPhoto for iOS. You need to use iPhoto for the Mac.
