Hi. I have tried watching dozens of videos, but keep gettinglost as the video assumes you are at least intermediate or better. Example...

But I get so lost, it is not even funny.
Is there a series of videos for BEGINNERS? People who know NOTHING?
What I need is to create a very simple menu where I have three videos to choose from and you can click and choose.
Best thing for me to do is give you this example here. The three boxes would each signify the videos.
So again, each of those three pics would be the button to press to get to the corresponding video. I've been trying on and off for almost a year and have never been successful at this. TEXT explanations do not help. They are long winded and being dyslexic, I end up seeing gibberish. I need video tutorials.

I haven't read through your post but it's still marked at unanswered; this video goes through a 'motion' menu but it's very well done by an "Adobe Embasidor" easy to fallow and understand it has three parts to completion and includes most information you may need check it out it may help.

I’d be grateful for advice on setting up a home network.
I’m a total newbie to MAC OS Leopard, so please excuse my lack of knowledge!
Background:
Livebox (residential internet gateway)
XP Home OS Desktop pc (has wired connection to Livebox)
MAC OS Leopard (latest) Apple Mac Mini (has wireless connection to Livebox)
Mac Mini also has a Windows partition with XP Home OS (has Boot Camp and Fusion installed).
I want to set up a network between the desktop pc and the Mac Mini so I can back up the two hard drives on a shared area, share files, and share the printer.
Can someone please point me to a step by step guide on how to do this?

if you are going to use Apple Extreme N routers then www.apple.com/support and type in Airport Extreme networks so something similar. There's an excellent pdf 60 page file for your perusal.

Can Someone please tell me how to save movie for email & web? I have created a few small videos, (last one was only 3 minutes), and I have tried to save them many different ways, but when I try to send them via email, it takes forever to send and for others to open.
People send me video links all the time, and they never take that long. What am I doing wrong?

you have two options for sharing video with the world: you can send the whole file to someone - as an xx MB attachement to a mail...; or, you load up the video to some website (.mac, youtube, whatever...) and send just the link x kB to that site...
asymmetric:
normal "internet accounts" are asymmetrically (A-DSL)... means: you have FAST downloads, but SLOW uploads.... (my socalled 2k-DSL connections offers downloads 20x faster then my uploads, just to give you an impression...)
so, uploading my videos to my website needs easy >30min for a letssay highly compressed 2min project.... the link to it is just >1kB; the download/watching of the movie is almost instant on/realtime....

I have a SoundBlaster Li've! 5. soundcard installed in my pc. My pc crashed and a new hard disk was required. I do not have the CD that came with the card,?I have managed to ?download Li'veDrvPack.exe, all be it from DriverGuide.com as i cannot find the file anywhere on this site. Every time I run the .exe file I get the following error message;?Setup could not detect any SoundBlaster Audio card on your system. Please ensure the your SoundBlaster hardware is properly installed before running this Setup program. Setup will now exit. I have checked in my Device list and there is an item marked as driver not installed with the label 'Multimedia Audio Controller'. The card is being recognised by Bill Gates' wonderful OS. I am getting towards the end of my tether with this and ready to launch the whole f***ing thing out of the window.... :-s?PLEASE, SOMEBODY HELP ME..

You can download the CD for the Li've 5. from [url="http://badboy.hub.io/">here[/url]. Look in the Audigy & Li've section. Which download you want depends on your model number. If you get a similar error when you install from the CD, run ctzapxx.exe in the /audio/driver subdirectory on the CD and select "overwrite existing..." (or similar phrasing).

Ok I know people are having this problem. I updated to the latest version of iPhoto and now I get the following: "Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable". Can someone please point me to a fix?

This is super frustrating.
I tried to uninstall iPhoto and all related files and then reinstall but I keep getting the same result.
I have spent hours trying to fix this and nothing seems to work. I am pretty good with computers so I think this requires some expert help. I notice many people are stuck with this problem. Do I have to go and buy the disk from the store? How ironic that I was updating the software online so I could use photostream. Now the solution may be I need to go back to the "old school" way of doing things. Lucky I don't have a mac airbook. Lol.

Re-installing the app is unlikely to help because the problem is with the Library and not the application.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

TS3252 Can anyone please point to any articles, discussions, videos ... describing how to migrate an existing Aperture 3 library built on a home server (Netgear NAS Nv+V2) to an attached iMac (27in using Mac OS X Version 10.6.8)?

All images would still remain as referenced files on the NAS. (There are no managed files for my setup).

At this stage I am aiming to keep all my images as referenced files on the NAS. Apple Supprt have advised me this should be quite OK - and I already have more images than will fit on the iMac. All our data for all our computers here at home use the NAS as the only storage. We are in the process of builing centralised off site archiving and backup, which is made a lot easier with all data being one centralised place - ie the NAS. It also means we can easily view slide shows on our big TV via DLNA just using the TV's remote control - using the same referenced image files (or exports if they have been adjusted with Aperture). I can also share photos easily straight from the NAS as my own private cloud with no cost or restrictions. (http://www.readynas.com/?p=5370). I do like the way Aperture does not tie one to the organisational strcuture of the referenced filing - so one is free to use all the advantages of Aperture's project, album, metadata systems ets. I am aiming to continue this way unless there is some change that causes me not to.
Once a few niggles about permissions across our home network were resolved, I have had no problems with both the library and referenced image files being on the NAS. The casual user would think the iMac was "it" for everything stand alone ... (unless the ethernet cable was puttled out of the back of the iMac!). Nonetheless I will take Apple Support's advice and place our ever growing single library file on the iMac following the 'precautionary principle'.
I will post again with my results soon.

You need a "bulk renamer" to do this.
I personally use ABetterFinderRename, but there are cheaper and some that are free. ABFR has a free trial.
Renamer4Mac is cheap. Check the App Store too.

Can someone please tell Apple to create a "dot" for every event in a given day?

Can someone run this idea up the chain at apple? It would be nice to see what days are busiest from the monthly view. I single dot can represent 1 event or 20, but this is not helpfull. It seems like it would be an easy programming fix to make a "dot" for every event scheduled in a given day, no? You could press this idea further by making the dot color coordinated to the type of event.
Or is there a setting that I am missing?

Can someone please help me with my security. For some reason when I go to download from my itunes account, apple is asking me to verify my ID by asking me questions that are simply not relevant to me. How do I change the questions?

When I go to download from my iTunes account, it has started to say that I have to verify my ID. When only last week I was able to download ok. The questions it asks me are not relevant to me and I need to know how to reset the questions.   For example, it asks who is my favourite teacher? I am over 50 years old and have not been in a classroom for almost 40 years, so I would not have ever answered a question like that in the first place as I would not know a name of a teacher. Any clues anyone?

Hello, it's famke again...Still trying to find drivers.. My sound card is apparently also missing drivers... I've tried many drivers from different sites matching the information i've taken off the card...but for some reason i always get a big red slash through my audigy sound control panel after trying to install the driver and reboot my system... I'm convinced i haven't been able to find the correct driver... The information off the card is...Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS M:SB0350... If anyone can help out i would greatly appreciate this...Famke.
