Someone please walk me throught this before i cry
hello.
have an ax.
plug it into wall socket.
plug in ethernet cable to ax.
green light comes on ax.
ipod touch 2g works perfectly.
macbook work perfectly
signal of ax shows up in airport drop down on imac.
no internet connection.
airport utility keeps stating re scan.
what am i doing wrong and how do i fix this very very annoying problem.
if you do reply please use simple terms as i simply am not computer literate and terms such as 802.11, n e.t.c. mean nothing to me without explanation.

The problem sounds like it may be one of two things:
o Your iMac's internal AirPort card is not configured properly, or
o The AirPort Express Base Station (AX) is not assigning the correct IP addresses to the iMac.
I am leaning toward the former as the issue.
Can the iMac find any other Wi-Fis (wireless networks) in the area? If so, and they are unprotected (no lock symbol in the AirPort menu), can it connect to any of them?
Let's double-check your iMac's AirPort configuration settings:
To setup AirPort for High-Speed Cable Internet connectivity:
System Preferences > Network > AirPort
o Location: Automatic
o In the left column, verify that an AirPort option exists. If it does not, click "+" to create one. (Note: If you are unable to create an AirPort configuration, the AirPort card in your computer either doesn't exist or it is not recognized.)
o Verify that AirPort is "On." Click "Turn AirPort On" button if not.
o Ask to join new networks: (enabled)
o Show AirPort status in menu bar: (enabled)
Systems Preferences > Network > AirPort > Advanced
AirPort tab
o Remember any network this computer has joined: (enabled)
o Disconnect from wireless networks when logging out: (enabled)
o Require Administrator password to control AirPort: (disabled)
TCP/IP tab
o Configure IPv4: Using DHCP
o Configure IPv6: Automatically
DNS tab
o DNS Servers: <if required, add your desired DNS server IP address(es) here>
o Search Domains: <if required, add your desired DNS Search Domain(s) here>
WINS tab
o Enter desired WINS info or leave the defaults
AppleTalk tab
o Make AppleTalk Active: (disabled)
802.11X tab
o Enter desired 802.11X info or leave the defaults
Proxies tab
o Enter the desired Proxies info or leave the defaults

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card. -
My safari keeps closing unexpectedly and when it does it tells me that it quite while using the .GameHouseBeachParty.so plugin. I have no idea what this means! Can someone please help me fix this?

My husband and I both have iPhones on the same account. When he did his update yesterday, he chose both his number and my number during set up. Now he is getting my messages, too. Can someone please help me fix this?
What do you mean he chose his and your number during setup. Chose them for what? Is you number showing up in the Settings>Messages>"You can be reached by imessage at" section? If it is he needs to remove it.

What "child lock" are you talking about?
Do you mean you set up a Managed account (Parental Controls), or some other software?
For Parental Controls, select the account in Users & Groups and uncheck the "Enable parental controls" checkbox. -
I would like to download / backup my entire iPhoto library, but want to do so in a manner where each event is saved as a distinct folder. Can someone please advise if / how this is possible?

I am a new poster here and was hoping someone might be able to help me...
I am writing a program that is supposed to generate a non applet (IE text) version of a 4-way intersection....however i have run into a problem that i simply cannot see a solution....please tell me why this code does not do what it is supposed to:
in i meant to call the car arrives method which is supposed to enqueue based on some randomly determined parameters, known as direction and bound....it is supposed to loop through and do that for every car created.. what i think is happnening is that everything is getting overwritten rather than enqueued...what i dont understand is why...the reason i believe that nothing is enqueuing is because later in the code i attempt to dequeue these queues and and set a paramter and i get a null pointer exception

I appreciate all help givenok running it through a debugger DID NOT HELP at all, please somebody help me, im very desparate now. i have spent 15 hours on this problem alone. i see absolutley nothing wrong with my code and have tried about 10 doifferent ways of trying this.,....i cannot get it to work, somebody please help me, ...in addition i was hoping someone could clear up an issue i have with enums...i do not understand how i can access the variable of the enum, the only access to it my text book provides is how to acess the string associated with enums....but i need to access the variable itself...how would i design such a get method....ive tried that a bunch of different ways as well, and right now im so lost that i want to cry, somebody please help, im begging on my knees...i really need someone to explain this to me....

I recently have been trying out XCODE and learning Objective-C. Coming from a background
of Microsoft Basic 2.0, it's been a challenge to say the least!
Here's what I wrote so far, it's a basic 'wager/dice' game. I basically want the game
to keep repeating until the player runs out of money (I know I still have to program
that into the 'while' function, so I defaulted it for 10 times in the interim).
Here's what I need to figure out:
- The "While" loop is working, yet the 'cash' constantly resets to 1000 each time it starts again. I tried
{bracketing} the functions, but whether I win/lose the dice rolls, it always resets to 1000
There's a bunch more things I need to figure out, but if someone can tell me why the 'cash'
keeps reseting to '1000' each time, I'd greatly appreciate it!
