Can you please help. The tracker comes with the update for the Ipod Touch with Camera
There is no tracker application bundled with an iPod (nor iPhone nor iPad). Apple offers an app in the iTunes Store that allows an iOS device on which the "Find My..." service has been set up to be tracked from another iOS device (the app goes on the device doing the tracking). But the service has to have been set up on the device you want to track before it was stolen.

Thank you!Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

I was hoping that apple would be able to find my ipod through the serial number. the stolen ipod is linked to the same itunes account as one of my other ipods... if that means anything. another thing is the passcode was on when it was taken so who ever stole it probably isn't having much luck getting into it. anyways, i would be glad to hear anyone's ideas on how to get it back

If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries. -

Okay, so somebody stole my Ipod, 4th generation, and it don't have IOS 7, it has IOS 6.1.4, and apparently I was tracking it with police officers this morning and when I get home from school (now, 4:26) it appears that it's offline and I can't see the location no more, so my question is... Can they still find out where is it located?
Your carrier might be able to locate it if it's on their network and they are ordered to do so by the police or the courts. It can't be tracked with Find My iPhone if it's offline.

I bought an iPod from a friend of mine. I did not put a password on it because I didn't think I needed one and I had only had the iPod for about a week. Then someone stole the iPod. It was gone for about 2 months and then someone returned it to me and said they had "found" it at there house. But now it has a password on it and I don't know what it is so I cant even unlock my own iPod. I didn't have it for long before it was stolen so it wasn't even synced to my iTunes yet. Is there anything I can do to get into my iPod so I can use it again?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
If it was a 5G iPod with iOS 7 then you will also have to ent4r the Apple ID and password last used in Settings>iCloud.
