Someone stole my iPod touch before I activated the mobile me feature. Is there a way to find it if they try to sync it?
Someine stole my iPod while the Moble Me feature was turned off. Is there a way to track the device when it gets synced from another computer?

Someone stole my ipod touch 4g
i got my ipod touch 4G in Berkmar high school in feb 29 and i went to the boys gym and change my clouth and i put my jeans in the chire and someone stole my ipod touch 4G and i was rushing from gym class and i put my bag in the hallway and i was playing soccer and after the bell ring from class and i check everything in my bag and someone stole my ipod touch 4G.I check my computer to go to icloud and i click locations to find my ipod touch 4G and it was gray and red everyday.
p.s. my home botten it stuck and the battery dont show the iconChange your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries. -

Someone stole my iPod Touch 4th! How do I find it?
Hi I really need answers, Someone stole my iPod Touch 4th at a store. I tried using Find my iPhone and I've refreshed it over and over again and it says it's offline. Does my warranty cover this? Also if I report it to the police how will I find it if it is not connected to the Internet? Or does my iPod have a certain number that either if the person deleted all of my data I can still find it? Please answer, I only had that iPod, I can't buy another one!
- If the person restores the iPod, you will no longer be able to locate the iPod or do anything with it. The Find feature is esssentually worthless for a stolen iPod since the persons can turn it off and restore it.
- Apple will not help find the iPod or do anything else.
- Report it to the police and change the passwards for all accounts used on the iPod. -
Hello!,
Someone stole my iPod Touch 4g, I didn't have "find my iPod" app.
I have a serial number on my iPod.
Whether Apple can delete my data (notes, e-mails, photos) from my iPod and lock it?
HELPUnless you turned on Find My under Settings > iCloud there is nothing more that anyone here or at Apple can do to help.
Report the theft to the police, change all passwords associated with accounts on the iPod. -
Someone stole my ipod touch at school. how can i find it?
someone stole my ipod touch at school! How can i find it?
iPods get stolen at schools all of the time. Report it to school staff and to the police. You may want to give them the serial number of the iPod, which you can get from here: (you'll need to know the Apple ID and password that are associated with the iPod)

I believe someone stole my iPod touch at school. I don't have find my iphone installed on my ipod, only on my iPad. If my ipod still shows on my devices, does that mean it hasn't been erased?
lost/stolen
No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police and school
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

Someone stole my ipod touch and i dont know how to get to my pictures on my windows computer. i did back up my pics to icloud. and, will Apple give me another ipod? i am so sad.
Hello Becky,
Have you double checked to make sure it hasn't been moved to a different page or folder? Double check your iPod's Restrictions as well to make sure it hasn't been disabled. To do this, head to Settings -> General -> Restrictions.
Default Apps that came with your iPod or Apple's iOS cannot be removed.

2nd generation ipod touch is pretty much no good anymore? It is not able to upgrade to iOS5.1 and so will not work with many Apps in the iTunes store? Is there a way to find out if the App will work before you download?
Look to the app developer to provide that information when browsing the iTunes Store.
The iPod Touch still works, so what's your problem with it? It still works with older apps, it still does what it's intended to do.
If you aren't happy then sell it and buy a new one. -
When I went to sync my iPhone, I accidently hit restore and it made my iPhone have all of the settings of my iPod Touch, erasing my iPhone pictures and contacts. Is there any way to get everything back?
Not to doubt you, but something sounds fishy. I can see accidentally clicking Restore, but to load your Touch's information you would have had to select your Touch's backup file after restoring, which would be hard to do by accident -- unless your iPhone and Touch have the same name?
In any case, your iPhone should have its own backup file on your computer. You can click Restore again and this time select the iPhone's backup file (there should be a device name and date associated with the pop-up window at the end of the restore process). This process will erase your iPhone, reload the OS, and then when you select your backup file then all your iPhone settings, data, sync options, etc. will be re-loaded, including your media (if you auto-sync ... if you manually manage music and video on the iPhone then you'll need to re-select the items you want loaded onto it). -
Someone reset my iPhone and it was not me is there a way to find out how they were able to access my info?
There are two ways to reset an iPhone, 1) the user actually using the iphone can perform a reset from Settings, and 2) a user to knows the iphone's iCloud ID and password and do a remote reset.
I'm assuming you didn't personally reset it while on the iPhone, so my question is ... does anyone else know your iCloud ID and password? Have you set up multiple devices (perhaps belonging to other members of your family - something you generally shouldn't do, if you don't want to sync the same data to all devices in the family) and used the same iCloud ID on all of them? Perhaps a family member or a "friend" of a member used Find My iPhone to locate yours and remote wiped it. -

If someone stole your ipod touch can u get a replacement if it hasnt been found
hi someone stole my ipod and im wondering if apple would give me a replacement ... if i dont find my old one ... its a white one ... ive had it since christmas ..... and if i do get a replacement can i get my old belongings back from my stolen one ?
Apple does not replace stolen items, (is there a company that does replace their stolen products?) you would have to purchase a replacement. It may be covered under homeowners insurance but the deductible would probably not make it worth pursuing.
