    first, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. if it goes, good. if it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to itunes.
    next, download and install the revo uninstaller http://http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html. use it to clear any existing itunes and/or QuickTime installation configuration information from the PC.
           next download itunes. it worked for me hope this is helpful!!
        oonce you get into the revo uninstallergo thru to delete itunes hit uninstall on the itunes icon then you will go thru to it will tell u the same nmessage about the feature and network hit cancell then go thru and hit scan (make sure bthe advance scan button is pushed) this will take awhile but go thru the list and hit everything associated with itunes. hit delete then install itunes again. it worked for me hope it works for you!

    After my friend locked me out of my iPhone with too many wrong password attempts I restored my iPhone via recovery mode and now it is showing that picture of a cable leading towards itunes, and itunes says the sim is not supported but it is the original sim. How do I fix this?

    Something went wrong with the update, this can and does happen with every version of iOS.
    There is nothing wrong with the update.
    Simply restore the device via iTunes on the computer.
    If iTunes is stating it will take hours to update, that indicates an extremely slow Internet connection and is likely the reason the OTA update failed.

  • Iphone 2G is dead. I need help please!

    Hello,
    I have an Iphone 2nd Generation.
    Yesterday it run out of battery and I plugged it on my Laptop to charge its battery. I saw that the iPhone didn't react, it didn't show up at my iTunes, and my Laptop didn't recognize it either. Then I saw a little pop up alert that says:
    "Power surge on hub port: a USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port"
    Well, I have 6 USB ports on my Dells, I plugged my Iphone on the 6 ports, and the same pop up appears. I also have a 2nd cable (Dock-USB), so I tried with the other cable and the iPhone stills without signals. Then I plugged my Ipod to test if it was something about my USB ports, BUT no, it isn't. All my other external Devices (Ipod, pendrive, external harddrive, everything works perfctly. Then i thought to charge its battery with the USB Power Adapter direct into the wall. And my iPhone still DEAD :'(
    If I click the home buttom, or the power buttom, or both at the same time, it doesn't do anything. It doesn't show the little apple in the screen. It doesn't show if it is withou battery, it reamins black... NOTHING. DEAD, DEAD, DEAD. And my iPhone worked properly without problems until this issue, until yesterday
    The only strange thing is after my iPhone died, only 2 times without doing nothing, I saw the little apple appear, then, got black again.
    What could it be? any help?

    Sounds to me like a hardware failure or damage to the dock connector or internals that's causing it to a) not charge, and b) draw too much power.
    I'm assuming you have an original iPhone (metal back). The 2nd generation of the iPhone was the iPhone 3G.
    Inspect the dock connector and try cleaning it with a dry toothbrush.
    If that's the case, it's time to either take it to a 3rd party repair shop and find out if it's worth fixing or not. It may just be time for a new phone. That one is nearly 5 years old.

    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
    hey guys i forgot the password for my iphone 4S and i keep on trying any passwords but now my iphone has deactivated it self and its asking me the password but i cant remember it and i dont have the last compter it syniced with!!! so what should i do ?
    In your case your only solution is to restore it ( see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 ) and you may need to force it into restore mode to do that.  This will wipe everything off it and reset it as new, without the passcode.  You can then redownload purchased content, buy unless you have a sync'd copy of your contacts and photo's they will be gone.
    Hello Vaidas Vaidas,
    It sounds like you are noticing someone else is accessing your Clash of Clans data by playing the game and you have tried to reset your Apple ID password. If you are following the steps outlined in this article:
    What is preventing you from changing your password? Any error messages or prompts?
  • HT4597 Someone reset my iPhone and it was not me is there a way to find out how they were able to access my info?
    Someone reset my iPhone and it was not me is there a way to find out how they were able to access my info?
    There are two ways to reset an iPhone, 1)  the user actually using the iphone can perform a reset from Settings, and 2) a user to knows the iphone's iCloud ID and password and do a remote reset.
    I'm assuming you didn't personally reset it while on the iPhone, so my question is ...  does anyone else know your iCloud ID and password?  Have you set up multiple devices (perhaps belonging to other members of your family - something you generally shouldn't do, if you don't want to sync the same data to all devices in the family) and used the same iCloud ID on all of them?  Perhaps a family member or a "friend" of a member used Find My iPhone to locate yours and remote wiped it.
  • HT1277 I can't seem to get gmail from my apple mail account. I have removed the account and added it, but it says I have the wrong password. I close gmail and get in just fine. What's up?
    I can't seem to get gmail from my apple mail account. I have removed the account and added it, but it says I have the wrong password. I close gmail and get in just fine. What's up?
    I meant that I sign out, sign back in ok. Ergo, I know my password. Someone here on the support page  (you?) told me the culprit is the 2 step verification process which I had on. That makes a lot of sense as Apple mail won't get a code thereby jamming up the process. I could not even start a new account until I took that 2 step process off. Everything fine now thank you.
  • TS3988 iCloud will not accept any passwords after upgrading OS. 2 days of trying every password I have ever used, AND changing Apple ID and iTunes ID, still nothing. Can't backup on iCloud anymore.
    How can I use iCloud again after upgrading OS to Mountain Lion?  2 days of trying every password I have ever used, AND changing Apple ID and iTunes ID, still nothing. Can't backup on iCloud anymore.
    Apple ID's can be used for anything, a single ID can be used for all your accounts (ie iCloud, iTunes, MAS, Apple community etc), ideally this would be the way forward. So far as iTunes goes you need to continue to use the same ID as you have always used or you will lose access to your previous purchases and your iTunes match subscription.
    If you are using a second ID for iCloud, you can continue to do so or use the ID you use for iTunes, but if you choose the later you will need to move all your calendar, contact etc data to the account using the ID you use for iTunes.
    When (if) you change which account you use you would delete the account on an iOS device and log back in with the correct details, on a mac you would sign out in the iCloud system preference pane.
  • I just upgraded to Lion. I was trying to set up the iCloud and it asked for my "login" keychain password. I've never been asked for that before. I've tried every password I can think of and nothing works. Is there a way to reset the keychain password?
    I just upgraded to Lion. I was trying to set up iCloud and it asked for my "login" keychain password. I've never been asked for the keychain password before. I've tried every password I can think of and nothing works. I'm normally asked for the password to my machine when upgrading software, signing on, etc. but this is different apparently. I tried the same password and it didn't work either. I read a couple of posts and they all want to take me through Applications/Utilities but that requires knowing your password in order to change it. I don't know it. Don't remember ever setting up a keychain password. Does anyone know how to change the keychain password if you don't know the keychain password???
    Most of the time your Keychain password is the same as your login password. If you configured your computer to log you in automatically, you may not have used your login password in so long you forgot it.
    There is no way to retrieve the "login" Keychain password, but you can reset the Keychain from the Preferences menu: select it in the Keychain Access menu and select "Reset My Default Keychain". This will create a new, empty Keychain but the old one will be saved should you ever remember its password.
    The result of this is that you will have to supply passwords for everything that requires it, since without your Keychain they will no longer automatically fill themselves. However, once you supply them and store them in your new Keychain, they will be remembered.
