Someone using my computer cleared my history. Can it be restored?

I checked my settings. It still has the box unchecked that says clear history when closed.

Have you tried DiskUtility->FirstAid Repair.?
If your iPod has zero songs, you cant used any 3rd Party software like Copytrans to retrieve from iPod back to PC.
I can suggest to never leave your iPod connected to the car stereo for the follwing reasons.
The max Operating Temp for the iPod is 50C, if you switched it ON at a higher temperature, the Hardisk will spin and crash, maybe, the filesystem cluster.
Car power supply maybe erratic, as when you start your car engine, you may also cause a surge to the iPod power source, but most time, the iPod circuitry, is protected, except maybe if your HD is spinning, and the Head is moving, a crash is most likely outcome.
However do an Ipod DiskDiagnostic as posted by tt2 earlier, you HardDisk may still be good, and we can start troubleshooting other causes.

Try turning down the speak volume (System Preferences->Sound->Output->Output Volume) or the microphone gain (System Preferences->Sound->Input->Input Volume). Do this on both sides of the call.

Do you still have all toolbars visible (View > Toolbars)?
Did you use an extension or the standard zoom buttons that you can find in the toolbar palette in the View > Toolbars > Customize window ?
Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.

So I have the iPhone 4 and just updated iOS 8.1.2 on my phone using my computer, and now I can't find any pictures or messages from last Tuesday (1/6/15). How would I be able to get it all back?

I was trying to put more music on my phone, but iTunes said I had to update and restore my phone. The only reason why I update using my computer is because I use up too much space to update using wi-fi, and I'd rather not erase everything to be honest. I started around 5-ish on 1/12/15 and finished around 12-ish on 1/13/15. (I had to keep restarting my computer and phone to get the system update like the troubleshooting website suggested.)The last time I backed up my phone was about a week ago on 1/6/15. But now when I look at my text messages and pictures, everything ends at 1/6/15 as if I never used my phone since then. Honestly, it's really frustrating. I know that you have to back up your phone before updating and everything, but I just wanted to know if there was a way I can get all of my missing stuff back. Maybe I did something wrong?? I'm just hoping there's a way for me to get my pictures and messages back. I don't even really care about the update to be honest lol. Any suggestions would help!!

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.
Unless you've iPhone 4S (looks similar to iPhone 4)

Upgraded to FF4 on my work computer, "Clearing Recent History" seems to start up the Hummingbird "exceed.exe" programme on my computer most times (strange). Also clearing is very slow.

Seems to happen most times when clearing recent history. (The exceed.exe programme is part of the Hummingbird suite of programmes for host emulation/connection to VMS machines.) Since I upgraded to FF4 a few days ago, nearly every time I clear recent history the exceed.exe fires up. I usually clear history after each browsing session.

Bootcamp is installed by default but if you have not touched bootcamp to install your Windows partition, you shouldn't encounter the problem I was describing.
As for Parallels - just thinking out loud. When you talk about "Running chrome", are you actually running chrome on Mac or are you running chrome in Windows (Parallels).
Also, do you keep your Parallels running all the time when you're not actually using it?

How to restore search history tabs; disappeared after I cleared search history; can't restore tabs!

I recently cleared my search history - I deleted everything - but now my search history tabs (that were generated after each search) have disappeared, and I can't restore them no matter what I do. Also, under "History", "restore previous session" and "recently closed windows" are gray, and so can't be selected. I've "reset" Firefox to "default" status twice to no avail...help! I need those tabs!

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode.

I need to work out if someone was turning up to my offce and using my IMAC computer 6 months ago. I tried the console, using "wake" and "PWRB" but it only gives me last month. Tried "Terminal" but similar

should help you locate files that were modified during a time frame on your computer.
Now mind you, some files are automatically modified by the system, so the location of the found file is very important to determine if that might be the case. Anything outside User folders may be automatically updated if the machine was Logged out but not turned off.

Downloaded pics from computer to iPhone using iTunes, computer crashed, now I can't download the transferred pics off my iPhone to new computer

I Had my iPhone synced to a computer, I transferred some pics from computer to iPhone, computer then crashed. Now I can't transfer the transferred pics from my iPhone to another computer. How do I get these pics off my phone without losing them. Currently cannot update my phone because there isn't enough memory.

Premiere CC not using all computer resources. What can I do to optimize?

I just built a new editing system and am exporiting a new project and my cpu sits at 58-65% usage and gpu at 2-6%. Ram usage is about 8GB
The file is from dslr .MOV clips to H.264 MP4 export, 1080P 30FPS 20Mbps CBR. Total lenght 6min 20 sec with warp stabilizer, contrast, sharpening filter, and neat video applied
As far as I know all of those effects are CUDA accelerated.
Media is on my Raid 0 Seagate 3TB x2 drive (about 350 Read/Write) Scratch is on 120gb ssd drive, OS and Adobe CC on 240GB SSD. Both ssd's 500 read/write.
Exporting to either os drive or raid 0 has no difference. Export time is about 25 min.
Are there any optimizations I need to do to speed things up or is this normal? I ran PPBM7 yesterday and sent in the info. I got the following results from the output file,
I/O time = 111 Sec 334.16 MB/S , h.264 Timeline = 208 Seconds, MPE gain 461/18=25.6 .
Below are PC specs. Everything is stock, not overclocked yet.
4930k, gtx titan black , 32gb ram 1866 , 650watt 80gold psu, 240 ssd os, 120 Ssd scratch, 6tb raid 0 for media, win 8.1 , premeire CC.

0% to another percentage and back to 0% about once a second. That number being between lowest 2% and highest 62% average probably about
38%.

Windows 2008 R2 Client computer backup files (*.dat) can't get restored after re-imaging the Windows 2008 R2 server

I have a Windows server 2008 R2 and I'm using backup feature to backup all computers in the network on it. Recently I ran into an issue and had to re-image my Windows 2008 R2 server and had to restore 2 of my client computers but now I can't restore
files from my client computer backups because they are not listed under Backups & Devices anymore however all backup files are still available on my Backup drive. How can I retrieve files from these backup files?

Anyone out there to help me with this issue?

Why does Firefox sometimes still tell me that I have cache to clear in the Advanced tab of the Options menu after I completely clear it using Clear Recent History?

I always have the time range in the Clear Recent History window set to "Everything", too.

While I didn't know about the about:cache page, it doesn't help me understand why Firefox is doing this, and how to fix it. Also, as I said in my question, I already knew about the cache information in the Advanced tab of the Options menu. I was trying to imply that I sometimes have to clear it using both the Clear Recent History feature and in the Advanced tab of the Options menu, because using Clear Recent History doesn't delete it all.

Clear recent history not responding

When I try to use the the Clear recent History. It locks up and I get a program Not responding. Then fire fox shuts down.

Try to exclude the cookies to see if that helps.
Let all cookies expire when you close Firefox.
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Keep until: I close Firefox
Create an Allow exception for cookies that you want to keep.
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions
Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies that have an allow exception and cookies from plugins.
