Something happened... need help
I was transferring music files from 4gb flash drive via usb, and when finished transferring I pushed the eject button. But, it would not eject and when I click on the flash drive icon, it said no volume drive on flash drive. Not knowing what to do, I just force plugged out the flash drive. But the icon would still not disappear and when pushed it would say no volume control on flash drive, just as same as before. So I went ahead and performed the disk repair in the utilities.
Then I opened the Finder, and more than half of the icons were blurs! Although I was able to get access to the files, the icons are Just some square shapes of blurs...
What could be wrong here...? Could I have transferred bad files? or because I force ejected my flash stick? Please help.
After posting, I tried to shut down the computer, but couldn't... And then I just tried what you suggested, but now it's back to where I began where it says The volume for "Flash Drive" could not be found.
Should I just press the power button? Could this be some kind of virus, because it seems very familiar with my pc experience...

What is the default name which is used to publish to .Mac?
Help!As long as you have only one site, it doesn't matter. The following will work (and your site name will automatically be added).

However, if you already gave out the long name to your friends and can't remember what it is, why not ask one of your friends? (I'd ask one that already owes me big time!)
One other thought. If you did NOT publish with the incorrect name, simpy open your browser and enter the short name and you'll see the old site name yourself. -
IPOD WONT WORK UNLESS YOU DOUBLE CLICK THE APP. WHEN YOU DO IT WON'T LET ME SLIDE UP OR DOWN.

Can't Figure This Out....Need Help.
I am attempting to add a line score from a minor league
baseball team to a website of mine (it's an actual "in progrss"
line score that updates itself). It looks like it uses a feed of
somesort with a page refresher, but I can not identify what it is
from looking at the source code.
The format I really want looks like this website:

MCyou might want to explain what your problem is in the title
of your post. a lot of people don't even look at ones that say
something like "need help" without any explanation of what the
actual problem is.
that being said, from what i can tell from the code of those
pages, it looks they created some kind of database or something for
those stats thingies. which means it's probably not something that
you can just copy and implement on your own site. you might have to
create your own database.
but maybe someone else will have some ideas. again, you might
want to repost or change the name of this thread, if that's
possible. i doubt you'll get many more responses to this
one. -
when i export movie from final cut pro to quicktime , something happened. it says error quicktime -50. please help.

hello, I'm using the same apple id on my Ipad and Iphone, and anything i do and my ipad reflects on my iphone. if i download an app on my iphone it also downloads on my ipad. Can i stop this from happening. i need help. thank you.
Yes, under the Settings for the store, you can turn off the auto download for purchases, that way if you purchase an app on another device it will not automatically download on that device. You would need to do this on both your iPad and iPhone.

When I call someone using FaceTime from my mac, they can see me but not hear me. Is there something I need to do to make this happen? I also have an iPad 2 and FaceTime works great on it if I call somebody. Why no sound from my mac FaceTime using a mac pro and isight camera, mike combo.

Try turning down the speak volume (System Preferences->Sound->Output->Output Volume) or the microphone gain (System Preferences->Sound->Input->Input Volume). Do this on both sides of the call. -

I didn't delete the netflix app I think I deleted something that I needed to have to view the shows! One of the kids downloaded a lot of games and I deleted the games and wondr if I deleted something I needed or did I change a setting by mistake??

ipod touch 4g wont connect to itunes or come out of recovery mode, its just stuck on the connect to itunes screen and will not come out, i tried doing a restore but something happened and now it wont finish or do anything else please help and my itunes will not see that its connected. i also tried going though control panel and restarting the service and nothing happens. also i tried redoing the driver but its saying it cannot find any drivers for it

All of my apps on my new ipad2 are not working. I had this iPad about 4 months and nothing bad has happened before this. I need help on how to make my apps stop crashing. Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

If you have not done a factory reset on the device, I recommend doing a complete factory reset.

Turn off the phone
Press Power + Volume Up/Down at the same time and hold until display will show a triage android screen
Display will show:
Reboot system Now
Apply sdcard:update.zip
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
Use VOL Down key to scroll down to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", press home icon to select option and wipe device.
Display shows "All user data will be wiped out", press VOLUME Up to continue or VOLUME Down to exit.
Press Volume Up
Press Home to select "Reset System Now" - device will reboot
If the problem persist I recommend having a store technician take a look at the device.

If you just replaced the router with an Airport Extreme or Express:
disconnect the modem from power, disconnect the new router from power, connect the modem to power and wait till it os fully started up, then connect the new router to power. After a while the amber light will turn to flashing, then after a while it will turn to green. Then with AirportUtility (in Aplications/Utilities) it should be configured with the password. -
