Something I pre-ordered in iTunes doesn't actually show as purchased.

The album downloaded the music already in full, but when I go to see it in iTunes, it still asks me to complete the album. Because of this, it won't let me sync with my iPhone. How can I change this?

One remaining problem I have is on the 'date added' ... now that data appears lost.
For all intents and purposes, I believe it is. The information stored in your iTunes Store Account Purchase History is not connected with your iTunes Library information.
where is the info stored when you make changes to tracks/albums in 'Get Info' stored?
Much of it is stored in the song file itself, such as the song name, artist, and album.
First and foremost, the iTunes Library.itl file - which is what iTunes actually references - stores the location of the files on your computer (the Where part of the Get Info tab. Additionally playlists and related information - such as Ratings, Play Counts, Dates Last Played and Dates Added - are stored in it as well.
iTunes doesn't directly use the iTunes Music Library.xml file although if the need arises it can use it to create an .itl file .
But the .xml is not as complete as the .itl. For example, it does not contain Play Counts, Dates Last Played and Dates Added.
Anyways back to what I think you were asking about, in the end you can use a Back-up copy of an iTunes Library.itl file to recreate a Library. And - to a more limited extent - you can use a back-up copy of an iTunes Music Library.xml to do so.

Check in your iTunes folder on your computer to find the files. If they are there, then drag on top of iTunes to import them in. If they are not there, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

After canceling a pre-order from iTunes I don't have the money credit back

I recently pre-ordered an album from iTunes on my iPod Touch. (gift card)
After about a week I decided that I'd rather get the actual physical disk from the store once it's released, so I canceled the pre-order and I was told by the iTunes store that I would get the credit back after a cancellation, but to my surprise I haven't gotten the credit back. It's already been a day since the cancellation and I haven't gotten anything back, not even an email from iTunes witch I always get after every transaction.

Why can't I access my pre order from iTunes when the album has been released?

Pre ordered the new Jay Z album from my iPhone 4S and have been FULLY charged for the album. Each song is showing "purchased" in grey. What's the deal with this? iTunes WILL allow me to purchase the album again, and I'm positive they'll take my money again.

I'm having the same issue. Support claims it's my computer to which I have downloaded 439 songs to already. Oddly enough I still can't download a previous preorder even though I am able to download FREE songs and podcast without issues. I asked them to cancel the order and they stopped contacting me with either a yay or a nay. It's not like they have to refund me or anything as they haven't drafted any monies yet. I guess I will have to chock this up as a loss and no longer purchase through iTunes anymore. Amazon is cheaper most of the time anyway. No back ups needed there. Peace.

Check in your iTunes folder on your computer to see if your pre-order is there. If it is, drag and drop it on top of iTunes to import it in. If you cannot find it, just delete the tracks from iTunes and then look in your purchases to download it again. If all else fails, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

Why do pre-orders in ibook store no longer show up on ipad

I have noticed that now when a pre-order book is selected that when you go to your purchases on Ipad that it no longer shows any pre-orders as it did before. Does anyone know how to access pre-order that you have made from you ipad?

Are the disks self powered? Try a SMC Reset:

Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
Wait 15 seconds.
Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
The 5 second timing is important to a successful reset.

Itunes doesn't recognize tracks as purchased even though they are in librar

I had to reorganize my library because I had moved stuff around on various external drives and my library wasn't 'finding' all my music, even though it was there. The specifics of what I did are below**, in case you are interested.
Everything worked more or less as expected, except there was no purchased category on the left navigation pane. My purchased music was indeed in my library and playable, but no longer recognized or sortable as "purchased". While some might like this , I wonder what happened and whether/how I can fix it. Please advise.
** Specifically, I had all my music exactly duped on 2 external drives, but for some reason my library only recognized some tracks as being on one or the other drive, and there was no easy way to consolidate, since consolidate library would have resulted in duplicate files on the drive I consolidated to. So, I 'deleted' my library file (moved it to a temp location) and then pointed "add folder to library" to the one external drive I wanted to use. Perhaps this was the wrong way to accomplish what I wanted, but it seemed the easiest!

Login window is "there" but doesn't actually show up

When I get the login screen, all I see is the background. The login window is there, I get get loged in by clicking roughly where the user name line is and typing my user name, tabbing to type in my password then hitting enter. Now, everything seems to work ok however when I launch Pages, I get the Template Chooser window, but it's just empty. It doesn't show me anything to click on. The same thing happens in FCP X. I see all my windows but the events window is empy, timeline window is just empy.

Figured out that it was a Displayport driver issue. I ran the Dsiplayport uninstall program, only hickup was at the end it gave me an error trying to restart automatically. Just quit the app and restarted manually and all is well now.

ITunes pre-order prompt

Hi, I just made a pre-order on iTunes and it gave me a prompt... something about extra content or downloading now or something. I pressed no out of sheer force of habit, but what did it mean? (If I'm not being specific enough, please say so).

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I got the new Slash CD... will I still get the pre-order extra song (Sahara)? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

EDIT: Also, by prompt I mean a little pop-up window that prevents action until it's answered.
