Something is wrong with my Ipod touch and its album covers
Allot of the music on my ipod doesnt match their album covers but when i check them on my computer they are all OK, just got it love it in every way, go to listen to my music and get a slap in the face by this nurve racking glitch. My old Ipod got this glitch when it was not connected to the computer for a long time but this thing barely leaves the computer whats wrong?(the ipod support also ***** so i thought i would ask you guys out here in the commuinity)
same here sorta fixed it, i noticed that it is only effecting old songs and old covers never anything after like 3 years ago. also had a fall while walking lukily the case i bought stopped and external damage to the ipod, but IDK i think something maybe wrong internally. the fall wasnt a nasty like a drop onto pavement how are ipods structurally is there many cases of ipods breaking from a drop?... off topic i have never had an ipod touch all myapps that im buying and downloading if i have to replace my ipod where will all my personal data go? its not like i can just hand my ipod uploaded with over $600.00 of songs and other to costco.

Ok. Well i jus got an iPod Touch for Christmas. It's been working fine up until a few days ago. What's wrong is that my screen is not working right all of the sudden. About halfway down the screen the screen won't respond when I touch it. It's like i never even touched it at all. The rest of the screen works perfectly when I touch it but it's only a horizontal area across the middle of the creen that won't respond. I have already reset it 3 times and i even restored it back to factory condition but still, nothing. If anyone has had this same problem or knows how to fix this, PLEASE tell me how to get it working again. This device is like 2/3 of my life nd i wud hate to not be able 2 use it anymore. Thanks!

my ipod classic is visible in windows but not in itunes, this happens on 2 different computers where my iphone and ipod touch work fine which leads me to think something is up with the ipod itself and i cant find any threads to help.
any thoughts anyone??Perhaps the reason you haven't had any replies is because there is no such thing as an 8GB iPod Classic.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

What's wrong with my iPod Touch 4?
Okay, so something's wrong with my iPod. I had other two issues, well, I still have, that led to this problem. My iPod wont turn sideways, even though the Portrait orientation isn't on, and an "Undo Typing" popup keeps appearing on my screen even though I'm not shaking the iPod.
It would be nice if I got help with that, too?
But, the main problem is this: While trying to fix those two problems, I "Reset All Settings" in hopes that it'll get fixed. Unfortunately, I just ended up with another problem. After I re-entered the password to the wifi, I went to Skype. I called my best friend, and after about a minute, the wifi left, causing the call to drop. After a few seconds of the call dropping, I decided to call back, thinking it was a one-time thing. Again, the wifi left and the call dropped. It's not only happening with Skype, either. It's happening with wifi-using apps, FaceTime, and Safari. The wifi leaves and comes back. Is there any way to fix this?Not looking good. You may have a hardware problem

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Music troubles with my iPod Touch and earphones!
Just recently I willl choose a song to listen to on my iPod Touch but tyhe sound wont play, even though it says that it is playing. So, I have to unplg and plug my earphones back in. Then it works again, until next time. Whats wrong with my iPod Touch???

- I would also try resetting the iPod:

button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

My Reminders app will not open. When I try to open it, it quits and gives me an error message: "Reminders quit unexpectedly while using the CalDAV plug-in." My Reminders is synced with my iPod touch, and it is fine on that. How do I fix it?
Also, the Calendar is loading very very slowly, and sometimes it quits and gives me the same error message as above.The problem has been fixed with the most recent OS X software update.

I have Itunes set up to sync with my Ipod touch and Ipad. As of today, iTunes has started searching to sync with an iPhone, which I don't have and pops open with an error message stating it cannot locate the iPhone to sync. I have looked in devices and only the iPad and iPod Touch are listed. Any ideas on how to stop iTunes from searching for any iPhone it is never going to find? It is annoying to have it popping up all the time with the error message. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -
I have been having problems with my iPod touch and my WRT...
I have been having problems with my iPod touch and my WRT54G router. I am so frustrated right now because after following the various steps mentioned in one of these threads, following Earthlink's prompts, and speaking with Apple, my iPod touch will still not work. It is connected to the internet but will not download the pages. It is quite frustrating. I have changed from WPA to WEP, I switched the 4th Generated key to the 1st. I've disabled this, enabled that. I've done just about everything. I updated the firmware. I made the switch from a partial bridge to a full bridge. Still nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any other suggestions? The one thing I have not done is enter the Apple code into the iPod which searches for website...-- I cannot access the internet with my iPod so this web address does not work. If anyone has been successful, will you please give me step by step instructions? Yesterday I was on the phone with Linksys for about an hour. Before that with Apple for about an hour and before that with Earthlink. How it is that I can walk into a Bread Co. or Apple Store and immediately connect to the internet with my iPod but I can't in my own house?? Everyone seems to think it is someone else's problem so I've gone around and around. Not one of the Linksys support personnel suggested I look here on this community forum. I had to pay the $9 fee to have advanced Linksys help but still my iPod does not work and when I called back, the man I spoke with seemed to think the case was closed because my PC, Laptop, and iPod are connected to the internet -- the iPod just won't download the webpages or get mail. My iPod's IP address begins with 192. I would appreciate any help on this matter

1. Settings - wifi - linksys
2. Erase your DNS settings & input same numbers as in router
Settings.
3. Http proxy should be
in off position.
4. Close out & open safari you should now have a wireless
connection. -
Something went wrong with sync. between pc and Ipad now part of the information is gone on the Ipad. How do I take the backup of the pc and put it back on the Ipad.

To turn on/off retail mode, go to settings, general, legal.
Do not open legal, just put the cursor there.
Then, on the remote, type this sequence : right - right - left - center.
The AppleTV should reboot. -
101 Problems with my iPod Touch and iTunes...Almost
It really feels like I have 101 problems with my iPod touch and iTunes.
For some time now my iPod Touch have been using alot of batterypower and the battery is often discharged very fast. It discharges alot faster now than when I brought the Touch.
Also when I plug the iPod Touch to my computer it doesn't charge, it does the oposite of that, it's disharges and it does that ALOT faster than normal
There is also a problem regarding connecting the iPod Touch to iTunes. It doesn't connect to iTunes directly after I have plugged it in. It feels really random and it lives it own life it seems like.
If I accomplish to connect ut to iTunes it doesn't sync every single time. The computer / iPod Touch hangs and nothing happens. Soemtimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, like I said before - It feels really random!
Now to a BBIIGG problem. A week ago my girlfriend changed my password on my iPod Touch. When she typed the password into the login screen, it failed, she had forgotten the password / she thought that she picked that password when she changed it. Anywho, I didn't panic becuase I knew that I could lock it up by iTunes.
But, iTunes gives me a error while trying to restore the iPod Touch saying that there is no update avaiable and after that nothing happens. I tried to do the Sleep / Power + Home trick to set the iPod Touch into a recovery mode but iTunes gave me a unknown error.
I tried to update iTunes from my version to the new 8.0 version but when I do so it gives me a error saying that iTunes.msi can not be found and it can't uninstall the previous version :S
So, now I have a unusable iPod Touch, I can't do nothing with it.
Like I said, It's really feels like I have 101 problems ;D.
Lucky I have my old iPod so I can listen to Music :P

When i open up itunes on my computer, it says that i have 2 videos but when i sync it and check my ipod touch, it says i have no videos so it only shows up on my computer but not on my iPod touch and its a 4th Generation.

i forgot my password to my ipod touch and its disabled and the screen is telling me to connect to itunes but i cant do anything else.
I am having the same issue. My son misplaced his iPod touch and we recently found it under his bed. He then came to me saying he could not remember what his password was and the screen said it was disabled and to connect it to iTunes. iTunes says it needs to be unlocked. I have tried turning it off and then holding down the home key and then plugging it in but it fails to go into restore mode. I have attempted other variations as well (Holding down both the home and sleep buttons, etc but so far nada. Just curious if anyone else has seen a problem getting it into restore mode and if they found a solution.
