Something's wrong with on demand in the manchester...

Couple of weeks ago my on demand all went to pot stuttering everywhere,
After a call to technical and a few reboots here and there and a resetting of my i.p address to the bt servers all was well,
For the record I have a black vbox and a first gen black v2 homehub and connect via ethernet.
Come Scooby doo abracadabradoo (yes really) same thing happened last night , my original incident happened on 6th July.
So back onto technical who again performed the reboot routines and reset my i.p address to the Bt server (again!) and all was well once more.
So clearly I ran speedtest and tht's very healthy on all accounts bushing 7meg and at least 3 meg assured with Q.O.S fine and dandy.
So is it my hub as the technician went onto say? he said it was beset with problems and it's got me thinking.
i would appreciate if a MOD could give me their thoughts as I've 2 possible therories:
1: the hub is indeed playing up
2:the servers in Manchester have a problem
i can rule out my vbox, microfilter and ethernet as i've proven they can work fine.

Suddenly I opened my laptop and this happened. As you can see all the WHITE Color turned into YELLOW. I've tried knowing whether this is a software or hardware issue. I think it's a software though.
Things I did after this happened:
1. Tried Calibrating the Screen
2. Tried Reinstalling the OSX

It sounds like the white sections of webpages have a yellow tint to them.
I want to recommend a few things here. First try booting to safe boot with this article:

Safe Mode is the state into which you can start up your Mac by performing a Safe Boot. To perform a Safe Boot, press and hold the Shift key immediately after your Mac starts up. Continue holding down the Shift key until a gray Apple logo appears on the screen.
If that does not resolve the issue, try resetting your PRAM.

Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
After resetting NVRAM or PRAM, you may need to reconfigure your settings for speaker volume, screen resolution, startup disk selection, and time zone information.
And I would also suggest changing your resolution to see if that helps the situation.

Have you went to Settings>General Time&Date and correct the time. Make sure the time zone is correct too. Also go to Settings>General>Inernational and make sure the Gergorian calender is selected.

I've tried a lot of things, but my Macintosh classic (with original floppys) runs 7.0.0. And the PowerBook needs atleast 7.0.1 and did run 7.1.0 as original OS.
How do I fix this?

Because your PowerBook 145B shipped with OS 7.1, it can't run an earlier version of the Mac OS, such as 7.0.1. Unfortunately, Apple never made OS 7.1 available for download. You can run OS 7.5.1, 7.5.3, and 7.5.5 on your PowerBook, but I'd recommend doing so with the maximum amount of supported memory - 8 MBs. The 19-part download of OS 7.5.3 is segmented, so that each one will fit on a 1.44 MB floppy disk. The problem is that the 19-diskette set isn't an installer set as such, having no bootable disk. It's solely intended to be used to transfer the individual segments to the resident hard drive in the computer. Once that's done, double-clicking the first .smi segment creates the OS 7.5.3 installer disk image on the desktop, which you drag onto the hard drive icon. This produces a folder with the OS 7.5.3 installer in it. I've done this before with an old Mac LC and it works. You can also download the 3-diskette OS 7.5.5 Update and run that. These downloads can be found on the same page where you found the OS 7.0.1 download: Older Software Downloads.

I am new on the block as far as Wordpress and trying to run a testing server using XAMPP via Dreamweaver CS5. I carefully followed all the directions in your tutorials:

Brian, everything worked up until I reached the following step under the topic of: "Testing code hinting"
After I open the "index.php" file, I received the following error in Dreamweaver CS5:
"Something is wrong with the XAMPP installation :-("
Again, I carefully followed all the instructions and everything up until now works: the Theme loads up fine, XAMPP works, and I can view the control panel fine in Wordpress.
Does anyone have any ideas?

That's a new one on me, but I very much doubt that the error message was generated by Dreamweaver, because DW is designed to work with any testing server. It's not tied to using XAMPP. Sounds like some weirdness from XAMPP. I must say that XAMPP 1.7.4 seems to have a few bugs.

TS3989 My problem is that the photos won't load up in My Photo Stream. Something is wrong with my account (Apple ID). Because when I tried it with another account, it worked fine. This problem began when I deleted all the photos on My Photo Stream.

I once deleted all the photos on My Photo Stream, since then, it won't upload photos anymore.
If I share a stream, it works fine. But still, no photos on My Photo Stream.
I just tried another Apple ID on my iPhone and it worked nicely. So, I guess something went wrong when I deleted all the photos.
Can someone please help?

This one was quick.
I deleted my Apple ID.
Tried a new Apple ID for it.
Deleted the newly created Apple ID which I had just created as a test.
Entered again my main Apple ID and... voilá.
It works again.

When I try to connect my iphone to itunes it will not work, but when I connect an ipod it will. This is telling me something is wrong with my phone I am jsut not sure what that is. Can someone help me.

I was trying to update my music last night. But itunes told me it needed to be updates first. So I updated itunes, and my phone. But now when I connect my phone using the usb. It will not connect to itunes, all that comes up is a phone icon on my desk top(which doesn't allow me to do anything with) But when I connect an ipod it does connect to itune and I am abble to look at how much room is left, and the option to restore ect) . SO this tells me something is wrong with my phone it self. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

What did Apple tell you about what they did (or did not) find here?
See if working on the main disk is any faster.
USB2 is glacial, as I/O interconnects go. And USB2 disks have been known to fail, or sometimes to drop back to USB1 speeds, too. FireWire 800 is substantially faster than USB2, but still not as fast as the internal drive connections can provide.
Put another way, start varying your configuration, and see which configuration changes (still) have the problem, and which don't.

I've been getting the same message for like an hour now. Since everything was working fine a few hours ago, and nothing changed on my end before it stopped working, I'm guessing it's something on Apple's end. out of the blue the nokia xpress browser on my asha 501 does not start anymore: it just shows the blue background with the globe icon. when i press the back button, the following message appears:
"Something went wrong with running Nokia Xpress"
- I have subsequently updated the phone software to version 14.0.4
- I have run the troubleshooter tool under "installed programmes"
("Debug <Ovi Browser> connecting on port 2800")
- I have restarted the phone
nothing helped.
is anybody familiar with the problem and might assist with some help?

Hi Chris,
I had the same problem but I managed to solve this today (04/12).
Follow the steps below:
Be sure to backup your files.
1. Settings (configuration) > Reset phone
2. Click OK. Wait restart your phone.
3. Run Nokia Xpress and DON'T upload your backup.
I hope that your problem was solved.
And, after this situation, when your phone ask to keep the old files of the browser, click on No.
