Something software related prevented me from being able to boot up my iMAC. The remedy was to wipe the computer of all soft wear and re-inatall everything via my time capsule. All good there.. but now I cannot open Ai and a box stating"Licensing for this product has stopped working" and to reference error code 150:30. How do I get my Ai to open?

Are you getting a message about an unsupported SIM? It sounds like you had a phone that had been hacked to work on a network other than the one it was locked to and updating it has re-locked the phone to the original network.
Where exactly did you get the phone? What network are you on? If you did not purchase your phone directly from DU or from Etisalat (assuming you are using a carrier in the UAE) or from a carrier in the country where you purchased the phone or directly from Apple, then you got a gray market phone and it was most likely hacked to unlock it in the first place. Most of these gray market, hacked phones come from the US and were originally locked to AT&T.
Only the carrier the phone is locked to can authorize an unlock. If it is locked to AT&T, they will NOT authorize an unlock.
If any of my assumptions are incorrect, I apologize. We need more information, though to make a recommendation. -
I am able to use ICloud on another pc (limited access though) but now I cannot open my mail on my own macbook; it says 'unsupported browser' any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Apple is probably doing some work on both the iCloud and on iTunes as both are currently down..........it is probably because of the upgrading they are doing that has to be done for the soon to be released Mountain Lion OS...... -

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

Dear all,
I have created a document on my iPhone, and stored it on iCloud. I have updated the document both on my iPhone and on my iPad. Now, I cannot open the document on my iPhone anymore, even a reset of the phone did not help. Via iPad I also cannot open the file, and when I try to download it to my PC via icloud.com I get an error message.I suspect that the file has become corrupt as I have updated it on the iPhone while I did not have network connectivity.
I have two questions:
1.) Is it possible to recover an earlier version of the file?
2.) What can I do to prevent this from happening again in the future?
3.) Does the iPhone sync changes to iCloud in the background or does the application need to be active?

I have seen previous versions mentioned in a pop up message before on iCloud.com, but I'm not really sure at all how it would help, as I couldn't get it to do anything.
The best advice I have at this time is to back up your work on your iOS device by regularly saving it to iTunes, if anything goes wrong you can then either load it into the numbers app again on the device or recover it via iTunes on your computer.
My syncs are immediate, I never get chance to see if it works in the background, sorry. -
i just bought a macbook air. ive been transfering all my songs from my external harddrive that i had on my previous laptop for itunes. now that i got them transfered. my itunes wont open. it says "the itunes library file cannot be found or created. the default location for this file is in the itunes folder in the music folder." what do i do!?!
How did you move the music? You have to do it in a specific way:

do not confuse moving your whole folder and library with moving just media files as in

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the whole iTunes folder and all its subfolders and files intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option key held down and guide it to the new location of the library. -
How do I prevent users from being able to update Firmware
I have several users (14) with iPad 2 and they rely on an in-house developed App. we have yet to test this App on iOS 5.1 and therefore want to avoid any of the users updating the iPads at all cost!
this question is in two parts:
How can I prevent users from upgrading firmware themselves short of just asking nicely?
How can I stop the iPad from automatically downloading the Upgrade when I deploy a Policy using the iPhone Configuration Utility?
Any advice would be great!We've been looking at the AirWatch mdm and have been told it has this capability. Not sure if it would be justified from an economic standpoint for you, however.

I recently moved all of my images to a Mac from a Dell. Everything was perfect, but a few weeks ago I started getting an error message in Bridge that it could not read (not sure of this) the criteria and that I should go into preferences and clear the cache. Which I did. Now when I open bridge it sees a few images and then says it's building criteria, for like hours, and then the same error comes back. I don't know what to do. Any ideas? I can see everything in Finder or search, everywhere but bridge. it's the same for .psd, .jpg or raw.

I have downloaded Firefox 3.6.13 for my Mac OS X laptop, but now I cannot open my Hotmail emails.
I have used Firefox since I purchased my laptop 3 1/2 years ago and update Firefox when updates are available. For the past few days, I can open my Hotmail inbox, but when I click on new or old emails, they will not open up. I can access and open my email using Safari, but I prefer to use my Firefox for a browser. What can I do to remedy this?

Some bookmarks had been inserted into 3.6.15 before I attempted the import, and I had assumed -- incorrectly -- that the imported bookmark file would override those, not just add onto them. When I looked lower on the list of bookmarks, I realized that the imported bookmarks were, indeed, there. I was also confused because the bookmarks toolbar did not automatically change to the toolbar from Navigator. All is well now. Again, thank you.

As the question / statement says, When in Firefox, once I've started my webmail application through Go Daddy, I can compose an entire email filling out all the required info. But, when I put the mouse over the 'Subject Line' and click, no cursor appears.
Having walked through this with Go Daddy, they are convinced that it's FireFox because we opened up their webmail with 2 other browsers and both allowed me to plug in a subject line.Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Thanks for the reply, BUT --- i can't fool myself. I can make all the other accounts i want, but i'll still be able to get into the admin account and therefore have access to the websites i don't want to have access to. Is there a way to block websites from ALL accounts?

Aperture version academic 2.1.4Aperture 2 is not supported on OS X 10.9, in fact it has not been supported since 10.6. While some of the functions might work overall it will not run sufficient;ly well to use and corrupting your library is a real possibility.
So yes you will need to upgrade to the latest version of Aperture by buying it in the Mac App Store. Keep in mind that Apple has announced that Aperture is being discontinued. It will work with the new OS coming out in the fall but will be replaced by the new Photos app now being developed.

How do I correct this recent issue where my iPhone 4 powers down overnight? It started shutting down as if I turned off the phone. It began around three or four weeks ago in December 2013. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? I bought my iPhone 4 in January 2010 and use Verizon cellular service.
At first I suspected a bad connection with a Sharper Image charging dock. But I find that it shuts off overnight even when I don't charge it. I can have it charged up at night, not go to use it until the next morning and have to hit the Home key either with a quick double-click or long hold down on Home key until the Aplle logo appears, in order to be able to use the phone again. I have not resorted to wiping the iPhone to full restore yet.

With all my other browsers, thia is not an issue including Firefox 3.6. For example, this page http://www.liveduvalstreet.com/ will display fine in every browser except Firefox 4. Because of that issue, I reverrted back to 3.6 until I can find a fix.
