Something strange happend to the screen

I don't know what happend to my 4th generation iPod Touch, but the i get a white screen and cant turn it on:

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. I supect the screen is damaged, especially in the lower right-hand side.

    Hi Frettchen,
    Sorry about the screen.
I think Lenovo ThinkPad series has an amazing build quality and the machines are tank-like in durability, always designed to be the business utility workhorse with roll cage, strong hinges etc. I prefer the ThinkPad because I mainly use Windows for the same reason and, I prefer Office for Windows over mac. I would say if you mainly use Windows programs go for the ThinkPad.
I still find them more durable than any other machine. You can always trust the machines and the warranty.
It's hard for anyone else to tell you what you should choose and it's something you have to figure out on your own depending on your requirement.
Thanks for posting in Lenovo community Forums! Please feel free to post back if you have any further issues.
    Best regards,
    Mithun.

  • Strange spot in the screen

i bought an iphone3g 8gig and after 2 days i noticed a spot in the middle of the screen and its look like a liquid or something and if u press on it or near it it spreads and when u left it it comes back like a small dot or something ,u just can't see it when the device is working unless u press it or near it , please respond

This is definitely something that should be looked at by your local Apple Store or contact AppleCare.
Are there any cracks on or under the screen?

  • Does anybody have strange bumps on the screen frame?

I got a new Macbook Air 2013 one month ago. It looks pretty nice. The only strange thing I find is that when I slide my finger on the screen frame right beside the webcam, I feel two tiny bumps. If use eye scan it carefully, there are really two tiny bumps on it. It just seems like metal expantion but actually I don't think it's possible. I tried very hard to press them down but made nothing change. I want to know if anybody has the same problem with me. I found in a video clip that the thing behind this area is glue then magnetic pieces to close the lid.
Could anyone give me a explanation about what happened? I'm really puzzled.

thats a buckled defect in mfg. of the alloy back-plate of the monitor.
since its a new Air, take it in for a new monitor or swap for a new Air at the discretion of the Apple.
Contact Apple for an appt. for a replacement monitor.

  • Something's wrong with the screen.

Can you see the dark areas on the right side of the screen? What do you think they are? Should I replace it? It bothers me a lot.

I've noticed this on my screen as well, but I also have faint white lines going down the screen.  I'm wondering if this is from the cover and/or screen protector.  The lines are in exact spot where the space between the magnets are on the cover.  I have the Ghost Armor screen and the Joy Factory Connect the Dots cover.  It has black interior....might be rubbing off onto screen?  I don't like it either....what kind of cover and or screen protector do you have?  Let me know if you go to Genius Bar (and what they say).  Thanks!

  • Strange scatches on the screen (mbp bought 3 weeks ago)

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
It's kind of hard to see what these are from the picture you linked, but I would definitely bring it to Apple's attention on a brand new Mac.
    Good luck!

  • Something strange with my iPod screen

When I first noticed that there was something like an "M" in the upper right corner of my screen i tough it was just some dirt on my screen but it isn't.
it's about as big al a capital letter on iPod , my iPod still works perfect but i tried everyting to get it away , even resetted iPod.
since i think it's rather not possible that so many pixels died right next to eachother at the same time i would like to know what i can do about it.
it's pretty annoying because i only got it for like a month now
    Grtz

  • Well the screen on my Macbook has become well unusable and well the screen flickers then freezes and i cannot move the mouse unless i hold the screen i suspect something is loose in the screen which connects it to the hard drive and keyboard

i find this to be very annoying and i am suspecting i will have to take my Macie to get repaired i was just wondering is anyone else has any similar problems i find this very annoying and i am not all too sure how it has begun to happen due to the fact that i have NEVER dropped or done anything to harm my macie and well i do not understand why this is happening i mostly use my computer while sitting at a desk so i do not understand but oh well i am rambling on please if anyone has had a similar problem do share.

If your screen is flickering, you might have a hardware issue there. I would take Macie to the doctor and have her checked out.

  • Something Strange happened to the Way to DOOM3

I am very annoyed and all my good mood in playing DOOM 3 is spoiled by this problem here...
I have an MSI k7n420D nForce 1 board using soundstorm (Analog Devices AD1885 codec) connected to an Analog  quadraphonic 4.1 speaker system, thus Logitech Z-540.
The problem is that i can not enable the in game menu option "surround Speakers" !!   it keeps telling me that no surround h/w is detected in my system... so i just hear normal 2 -channel stereo sound with the 2 front speakers  replicated  to the two rear. This is not surround positional sound....  you can recognize this easily because dialogs are coming equally from all 4 speakers this should not be the way.
I have try a solution a guy suggested this is, not using nvmixer but instead going "sounds and Audio" in the control panel and in the speaker tab selecting the "surround speakers"  instead of quadraphonic . I have try that and yes i could now enable the in game surround option but nothing changed... again 2 - channel stereo with the front speakers sound replicated to the rear speakers.
Any ideas here?!!! ....please i am frustrated with this.... does it mean that DOOM 3 supports only 5.1 speaker systems and not 4.1 speakers???....
I use the 4.24 nForce Drivers (4.31 Audio Driver), with directX  v9.0b and windows XP Pro SP1.
    Please help,
    Markoul

    update:
I have listen more carefully and   yes you finally get surround positional sound from all 4 of my speakers.  I initially got confused and stated false conclusion. But it seems that id designed dialogs and you own gun fire to be heard from L/R front and L/R rear speakers simultaneously and not the center speaker in a 5.1 speaker configuration. This is actually good news for 4.1 speaker system owners because this way even that Doom3 supports only 5.1 speaker systems 4.1 speaker systems are just fine  and you will loose nothing from the game sounds and dialogs.
All of you that have 4.1 quadraphonic speaker  systems just make sure in the
windows control panel in the "Sounds and Audio Devices" , "speaker settings", "Advanced", you have selected "Surround Speakers" (or "5.1 Surround Speakers" no difference really). Now you should be able to enable the in game "Surround Speakers" option and enjoy Doom 3 sound to its full potential
    Take Care,
    Markoul

  • Re: Satellite A200-1GB - strange ripples on the external LCD screen

    H,
when I try to connect my laptop to my Samsung 32" LCD with VGA, I have strange ripples on the screen.
I tried changing every settings in my computer and in my TV and it's still there.
    How can I fix this?
It's almost impossible to watch like this.
    Thanks.

Did you test the notebook with other external monitors?
You should do this to ensure that this is not a LCD issue
Furthermore I recommend checking if such ripples are visible using different screen resolutions!
Last but not least an graphic card driver update would be useful too.

  • HT4623 problem with screen touch when during writing or opening icon the screen is flickering

I have problem with screen touch, when I touch the screen to write something or open icon the screen is flickering and keyboard or icons begin jumping

    @ wesleyyin,
    certainly strange. Some questions to help with the diagnostics;
Which TrackPoint cap you you have on your keyboard, soft domed, soft rim or classic domed (the hairy one)?
Can you try disabling the TrackPoint to see the problem goes away?
Anything else laid on top of the system or between screen and keyboard like a thin cloth or something?
    Thanks
