Something Weird Happening...on Pantech Breakout

Yes, I have a Panteck Breakout and it's really weird what is happening. Ok when I either go to my Daily Devotions app that I downloaded, or the Handy Memo app that was already downloaded on the phone and I go to share with Facebook at the top of the page where it says  Post to Wall then something that should be in English there is another lanugage...this is where is should say Post but in English. Now when I'm on my Facebook on mobile and am sharing something under status the word Post is in english. Like I said something weird...

Thank you for taking the time to research this matter. I did delete the app and dowloaded again and presto! it cleared it up. Thanks again!

That is a very wierd issue. Let's see if we can get this fixed. Please try: Menu>settings> applications>manage applications> all> then clear data on all 3 applications and retest.
Have you tried deleting the facebook and devotions application and downloading them again?
I've researched the issue. It may have been a temporary issue with the application. Are you still experiencing problems with the foreign language? Please let me know if this fixes this issue.

  • Something weird happening in JSP

    Hi guys
    I have a JSP based app made out of frames.
    There is a left navigation frame and a main frame int he center.
    When I click on a link in the left , the page will be displayes correctly on the main frame . At this time I can see the status bar going all the way to the right in the browser.
    Then the status bar starts again from the beginning and it is not getting completed.
    Any idea??

  • Yesterday, something weird happened to all my apps, please help!!

    Yesterday, something weird happened to all my apps on all my apple products, when I open the app store on my iPhone, iPad and my the Mac app store on my Mac, it says that all my apps are updated and it's a lie!! cause I have a lot of apps that need an update, I don't know why this is happening, please help!

    Okay all good we got into the layers - there was an non editable group/path/second layer. Clicked the circle next to that layer to select all, I was now able to click and edit my artwork but the colours were still stucj in a transparency and were at 100% tint & opacity - fixed that by copying and pasting in document. I dont know how, I dont know why but it worked and big thanks to my special friend for figuring it out and hleping me

  • Hi something weird happened with my updates.

    Ok I was using the iOS AppStore I was checking for updates and a update for minecraft pocket edition came up the thing is it was already installed even when I clicked the update it said installed.  Then I clicked update all then in begain installing the thing is it would not stop showing up as available update eventually it stopped being available and went away. This has happen only once before
    My question is why would this happen (why would a already installed update show up as a available update)?

    Does anyone have any ideas I promise I wound be critical of any idea as long as it pertains to my question.

  • Something weird happened to my old iphone 3GS

    Im now upgraded to Iphone 4S.  My old iphone 3GS was kept in the drawer.  Today as I come from work, I was surprised to see my 3GS LCD popped out.  I don't know how it happened and why.  I could not describe it so much because I have not heard of any complaint regarding this. I find it so wierd because the phone was just sitting in the drawer.

    The exact same thing just happened to my iPhone 3GS yesterday. I took it to the Apple Store today and they said the battery expanded and that there was nothing I could do about it. I feel cheated though, because I didn't nothing to the device. I kept in my house, never dropped it, and now I can't do anything about it because I don't have a warranty? Does this mean that Apple device will be unusable after 2 years because of faulty batteries?

  • Something weird happening with View Options....

    Hi!,
    OK, so I go into my hard drive root (where the library, users, system folders are). I go to the View menu and choose Show View Options. In that small panel, I check the Show Item info checkbox so that it shows me all the info about folders. I enable it and close the window. Now under all the folders, it says how many files are indside them. All the numbers were correct and I was happy until I noticed that the printing underneath the Applications folder said that there were no items inside. So, I went into the applications folder and all my apps are still there (phew!) . I logged out and logged in to see if that fixed it but NOPE, it still had "Not items" under the Applications folder. Whats goin' on?
    I know that this may be a small problem with nothing to worry about but I'm afraid that all the other options may be going crazy as well. Is there a pref file I can trash?

    Hi Indragie,
    You must not have noticed the option at the top of the View Options box. The radio button for "All windows" must have been on. So you ended up making a global change. Perform a View Options command again and reverse it by turning off the "Show Item" info with the same "All windows" option on. That will clear that setting from all other folders. In the future, watch that option carefully and make sure to set it first.

  • Something weird is going on iPod 7th gen

    Okay, so i have an iPod nano 7th generation, and i think it's infected with some kind of virus, i've had this iPod for 2 months and everything was working well both iTunes and the iPod, yesterday something weird happened with my PC, when i turn it on it just goes to Startup Repair everytime, i download a lot of programs on that PC (Windows 7), so i thought it may be an infected downloaded program. I took my other PC (Windows Vista) and downloaded some songs, i connected the iPod and synced with iTunes, suddenly, the PC turned off, i turned it back on and it was happening the exact same thing that happened with the other PC.
    I don't know whats going on...

  • Pantech Breakout won't check for updates

    For some reason whenever I try to check for updates on my VZW Pantech Breakout (Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Check New) it fails to check for an update and just says "Error occurred during software update. Out of memory".
    I have no idea why it's saying this. The problem just started happening randomly. I used to be able to check for updates.
    I've tried freeing up internal memory and have made sure my RAM usage is not too high, but the RAM usage is fine and I have plenty of space. Any ideas? I'm sure my phone doesn't have a virus..
    I have a stock ROM which received it's second update in July 2012. (It seems I had 2 software updates in my total phone's lifetime).

        Hello pacnet2013! I share your interest in assuring that my device has the most recent software. You mentioned in your description that your model (Pantech Breakout) received its most recent update in July 2012. That's confirmed. What I'd like to know is if this is the same update you're trying to install to your Breakout, and if you've been trying since it was relased more than 5 months ago. You can confirm the version on your device by going to Settings> About phone> Baseband version. Thanks!

  • Pantech breakout auto mute, how do I turn it off?

    With my Pantech Breakout, when I am on a call, if a button is accidentally pushed (by my cheek next to the phone for example),  so that another screen than the current call opens on the - my microphone is automatically muted...I can still hear the call, but the other person can't hear me, I have to take the phone away from my head, get the screen on, and get the screen back to the call that I'm on...and I see that Mute is selected as I get back to the call screen, the mute disengages quickly.
    I can't find any settings related to this, is there a way to make it stop?  This happens a couple times a week, I"m in the middle of a conversation and the other person starts saying "hello, are you there, can you hear me?" because my microphone is muted...I can hear them but they can't hear me, and I didn't do anything except brush the screen or a button accidentally.  Really irritating.
    Any way to fix this?

        I understand your concerns with the sensitive screen on your phone when making calls tinawind! Your phone should automatically blackout when you bring the phone close to your face as the proximity sensor acknowledges that you are answering a phone call. If this is not working properly, try a quick press to the power button to blackout your screen before you bring it close to your ear. Keep us posted.

  • Ringtones and Pantech Breakout

    I just got the Pantech Breakout and after reading the book and going through the phone, I cannot figure out how to download ringtones.  This is my first smart phone, so I'm used to an easy to find "get new ringtones" button or something.  Help, please.

    I customize my phone with different ringtones as well. It makes it easier to know who is calling you when you have a specific ringtone assigned to your contacts. 
    You can purchase ringtones from the Media Center, at http:www.vzw.com/getitnow or you can search the Android Market for ringtones. Simply access the Market application and use "ringtones" as a keyword. 
    If using the Media Center, the ringtone will come to your phone as a picture message. You would simply download the tone and then you will have the option to save it as a ringtone.
    Both of these options will assist you in receiving ringtones on your new phone. I hope this is helpful for you and other Android users.

  • Lost sound on Pantech Breakout

    I got a Pantech Breakout as a replacement phone. I had it a few hours and had to mute it for a movie. Came out of the movie, turned the volume back up and despite it saying volume was fully up, the phone has no sound out of it's speaker.
    I tried playing a youtube video, making a call on speakerphone and running apps I knew had sounds. No joy. Has anyone else experienced this? I will certainly be headed back to the shop to get this resolved. Had the phone literally six hours and this happened.

    Audio is definitely a must for your phone and I'm sure this must be very frustrating for you. But no worries because I'm here to help.
    Are you still having this issue with your device or did you already take the phone into a VZW store? Is the issue with the ringer volume and volume when watching videos only? Is the audio ok when on a call?
    Let's try rebooting the phone by removing the battery for a minute. Insert and retest.
    Keep me posted if the issue persist.

    Do you have any restrictions for purchasing apps on the phone? Settings > General > Restrictions. If you have a Mac computer or another Apple device can you purchase things in the App Store using the same Apple ID on something else?

    The LCD Display connector has partially come loose from the logic board connector, and simply needs to be pressed back down into place. Or the front screen assembly is now faulty, and needs to be replaced again.

  • Insufficient Memory Problem - Pantech Breakout

    I have the Pantech breakout, I have had the problem of insufficient memory quite often so I am accustomed to clearing cache and things like that. Normally once my phone shows 35MB avail the icon clears and the phone resumes functioning properly. I have cleared cache and even resorted to deleted apps and freed it up to 42 MB avail yet the icon remains and am having problems with functionality. The LAST thing I want to do is a reboot, it is so time consuming to restore everything and deal with the loss of data. The only thing I can figure is it is affected by the update. Is there a fix for this? P.S. I always love when places "fix" things that aren't broken and break them!
