Something wrong w/ iTunes Match? I'm trying to connect my iphone to it all I get is the cloud w/the bar not moving!

Must be iOS becasue songs played from the cloud works fine on my IMac but noe on my I Pad 4 or Iphone 5

Something wrong with itunes or my phone?

Hello, i purchased AIM over my phone in app store and then when i went to download it onto my computer an error pops up saying like. itunes is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. Is there something wrong on my end? Do i have to enable something in itunes or something?

1. AIM is free. You shouldn't have to purchase it.
2. If you already downloaded it to your iPhone you don't need to download it to your computer. It will copy over when you sync.
3. The first time I tried to instal it from my computer it threw an error also. I just Sync'd again and it installed on the second try.

Is there something wrong with iTunes today?

I was trying to download a preorder this morning(Iron and Wine), but iTunes kept saying my billing information was out of date. I checked and it was(moved recently). I tried updating my address and new credit card information but every time I went to update, they said my security code was incorrect. I can assure you, it's not wrong. Then I tried my old security code from my old credit card(the cc numbers are the same, just the experation date and security code are different), and it said credit card processing was down. What's going on?

I was trying to check for purchases for the Melissa Etheridge pre-order and so I signed out then back into my account. I got a message that said my billing information had been changed outside of iTunes, whatever that means. It was the same as before so just hit the done button. This has happened to me before. Strange.

Something wrong with itunes u, downloads dont appear in library

I'm trying to download iOS development Videos podcast from itunes u and while certain videos have been downloaded, 13 of them wont appear as downloaded in itunes even after completing their downloads several times.
any help?

Is there something wrong with iTunes 8.1

I have just bought a new IMAC (my first) I am using the latest version of iTunes..I have tried to authorise the computer and I get an error message . I have also tried to download match with the same result- I also cannot find my recent purchase. although they do show on my existing windows pc---any ideas please or is there a fix on the way

You can simply copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to /Music/ on new computer.
Then the libraries on both computers will be identical. Nothing will need to be downloaded.

Something WRONG WITH ITUNES

Basically ever since my upgrade to iTunes 10, my iTunes has given me less then standard muffled somewhat distorted sound output quality. When played the same file on QUICKTIME (part of the iTunes/Quicktime suite) it sounds much clearer and crisper.
I have spent the past 4 days researching this problem and have found NO solution! My sound check/ sound enhancer etc. are all off. Also, this is clearly not an iTunes 10 specific issue as upgraders from all past upgrades have experienced this in minority. There is nothing wrong with my speakers/sound card.
Perhaps it was a faulty upgrade? I have even tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I don't know if I did this effectively as all my songs were there when i finished re-installing it (I would imagine the library would be empty). But is re-installing it the issue?
I have been an avid iTunes user for years and am really desperate for a solution before i for the first time consider changing media libraries.

Try to logout and log back into iTunes on that "not a Mac" computer. It should then refresh with the new balance.
Let me know if that works.

If you are only seeing part of your content on your new computer with Home Sharing (for example, new purchases automatically downloaded with Automatic Transfer), you may need to manually transfer the remaining files via Home Sharing. You may find the following article helpful:

Something wrong with iTunes today?

I would like to buy an iBook for my wife's birthday TOMORROW. I can not find anyway to buy the particular iBook as a gift, the "contact support" link in the iTunes support section at apple.com does nothing, and iTunes support on Twitter ignores me. Not very impressive for the world's largest music retailer.
Of course I can buy the Kindle version with no problem, but I'd rather give the iBook. Can anyone help?

Something wrong with iTunes gift cards...

On one of my computers, which regretably is not a Macintosh, I have itunes. But one day, I loaded a $50 gift card to my account, and now, it displays I only have $10. Yet, when I tried my account on another computer, it displayed the correct balance in my account, about $47. Why is that, and how can I fix it?

Something wrong with itunes sidebar

I have found similar issues pop up in this forum with either no answers or answers that didn't help.
What happens is that if I attempt to open the itunes genius sidebar it covers up the entire music window. It's not a matter of simply using the sliders to change the size of the sidebar, picture that instead of a sidebar it just replaces the main window. It also will not go away from pressing the sidebar button, only when I press one of the change view buttons on the top of the itunes window does the music lists come back. Other random issues come up such as pixilated bits of the sidebar randomly appearing as I browse through my music or as I shop on itunes. I suspect that this problem arose when I updated to snow leopard but i am not sure. I tried updating to the more recent version of itunes but the problem remained so I am not sure if itunes itself is to blame.

I vaguely remember having had the same problem. I believe I fixed it by deleting the iTunes preference file "~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.plist". Please make sure to make a backup first.

Numerous problems with iTunes Match and synching.

I've been having problem after problem after problem in the wake of subscribing to iTunes Match.
1) iTunes unable to accurately determine how much space is being used on iPod harddrive (says harddrive is overcapacity by ridiculous amount of gigabites).
2) Multiple matched songs unable to load to iPod. I count 27 songs that are faulty. I've had to delete songs in iTunes and re-download them.
3) Songs showing up multiple times on iPod. Even some albums are showing up twice.
This is seriously the most faulty Apple service / software upgrade I have ever had the misfortune of testing. I've deleted my iPod once thinking maybe it was just a faulty backup. No, it's just something inherent in the latest iTunes/iPod software upgrade or maybe it's something wrong with iTunes Match.
Bottom line: things aren't working as smoothly as they are supposed to.

I agree! I simply made a short playlist on my iPad, and a few minutes later, it had been duplicated 16,000 times on iPhone, iPad, and desktop Mac. It took a trip to apple store to correct. I had to turn itunes match off and then on again on each device. However it is recurring now just a few days later without me even making a new playlist.
I too have had trouble with being unable to play MANY songs that have matched on my devices. Artwork that is present on the computer isnt going to other devices. Random crashes on iDevices.
This product REALLY isnt ready for prime time. As an Apple fan-boy, I'm embarassed. C'mon Apple.

ITunes match does not show up on iphone

I just enabled iTunes match after it took forever to synch up on my computer, it told me to go to settings -> music and turn on iTunes match. I don't have that option on my iPhone 4 running iOS 5. What is wrong?

ITunes match music cache

since the update to ios8 when I tap on a song in the music player using iTunes match the track plays and is cached to the iPad but there is no longer a way to clear this cache as there was in ios7 (go to settings, usage, and delete all music) the only way to get rid of the tracks ibe found is to hit the cloud icon and "download" the tracks then the old delete method works. Is something broken with iTunes match? Or does the cached songs eventually clear themselves in the new update?

ITunes Match unresponsive

Since downloading the latest update and turning on iTunes Match, I can't run iTunes from my Mac. My iPhone, iPad and even my work PC all run iTunes Match, but my Mac will become unresponsive everytime I open the program and just show me a pinwheel. Any help?

For what it's worth, I'm having the same issue. I immediately experienced long periods of unresponsiveness on my iTunes and after troubleshooting and isolating everything I could think of, I discovered it was the constant queueing and checking-for-updates that iTunes Match does. I finally just split my library into two files - one, which has all my local music that I keep along with TV/Movies/Podcasts/Books/Apps and does all my iTunes syncing and streaming to Apple TVs (which is why this particular library is always running), and the other, which I only use when I need to add/change something related to iTunes Match (like when I'm ready to buy new music, or when I'm ready to import a CD, etc). That way, I only have to deal with this issue when I'm dealing specifically with music, which fortunately for me (and probably less for many others) is not very often.
If you'd like to do what I am doing, just turn off iTunes Match in your primary library (this will keep your main library from freezing all the time). Exit iTunes, then hold the Option key and click iTunes again; it will then prompt you to create a new library. You can create it and save it somewhere else (and append it to say iTunes [Match] or something so it's easy to distinguish between the libraries), and then turn iTunes Match on in that library.
I am Apple-certified and work as a Network Engineer and even I was only able to identify the problem; I have my own thread about this elsewhere on the support group and I have yet to find any resolution. I've tried rebuilding / repairing the library, creating it from scratch, and even testing it on other Macs. I have the same issue on any Mac on which I enable iTunes Match.
I have seen that this isn't the case (noticably, anyway) on smaller libraries, as the checking-for-updates time takes less so there's no freezing.
One more useful bit: I had similar freezing/unresponsive issues with this when the Genius feature was unveiling in iTunes. To fix it then, I was able to just turn Genius off. With the iTunes Match function though, it appears that Genius is part of its system and has to be enabled to allow iTunes Match. This means your database is constantly sending information to iTunes to help match/recommend/build mixes for you, and that seems to be what's causing the issue. So while it's an "iTunes Match" issue, the root of the issue is something to do with Genius mode.
Sorry for the long reply. I've spent a lot of time on this and I just thought I'd share what I've uncovered about it so far.
